The young woman remembered hearing the crackle of a radio and a familiar voice. “...ake up! …..thre..... ....mimg.” Confused and a bit disoriented, she reached for her alarm clock as she rolled out of bed. Instead of her nice warm bed, she was in a cold cryo tube and the crackle of the radio broke through again. “Erin, get up! They are almost there...” Panic blossomed as she pressed against the glass above her. She had to get out of there! Claws scratching before she found the latch and there was a faint hiss before it was able to be pushed off. Gasping fresh air, she crawled out of the pod looking bed. She remembered. Erin. They said Erin. That's my name. How did they know my name? “Hello?” She tried to say, but her croak instead sounded like “Lo?” Her mouth was extremely dry and her head was pounding for some reason. Why am I not at home? I was reading a book... the tv was playing my favorite show... pressing her hand to her head, Erin tried to remember. “Get out of there!” The voice crackled on the radio. “What's going on?” Erin cried, confused while she looked around. The room was old and falling apart. Dirty even. She looked down and saw she was wearing a hospital gown and had marks on her arms. “You're awake! Good. I can't explain much. Just going to have to trust me. The alliance is coming. They were tipped off... Erin …. you've got to trust me.” The voice said over the radio. “Trust you? I don't know where I am, or who you are...” She tried to say, trying to absorb the fact someone was coming and the voice was acting like it was a very bad thing. There was a sigh then a faint chuckle. “Has my voice changed this much? It's me Erin. Mark.” Flashes of memories pushed through her confusion. Mark? He was her next door neighbor as a kid and best friend. They even went to college together. Mark was her age though. Twenty three. The voice on the radio sounded older, much older. “Prove it...” Erin said, rather nervous. Laughing, the older man paused a moment. “Before you went missing. We made plans to have a doctor who marathon. You were going to make K9 cookies and ood salad.” Missing? I was missing? She vaguely remembered making those plans. She was going to surprise Mark with a Christmas special she just got. Clutching at her throat in defense, Erin started to panic more. “Missing?.... w...when did I go missing?” There was another pause before Mark said, “I can answer all your questions later. You need to get out of there. The alliance is coming for you. You need to make your way out of the old storage unit and get to the ship. It's empty and I had a radio left there for you. I'm light years away, Erin. I can't help. But I have friends still on old Earth and they promised you will have a ship waiting for you. You have to go now, or the alliance will get you.” Millions of questions swam through her mind but she put on a brave face and said, “Ok...” then she started to walk while she heard Mark say “Good luck...” Barefoot and rather scared, as well as feeling exposed just wearing this simple bit of cloth covering her front half. She could hardly see while she stepped through the debris, but for some reason nothing really hurt and eventually she found a broken door. Pulling hard on the handle the door popped open as if it were made out of paper. Odd, since it looked rusted closed and heavy. Shivering as the cold air breezed while she exited the old building; Erin was horrified to see all the buildings were run down and broken shells. No plant life nearby, in fact everything looked like those scary world end movies she had liked. Swallowing the lump in her throat, Erin felt her heart pounding in her chest while she forced herself to keep walking and try to find this ship he mentioned. Weird though, there were no signs of water. How could there be a ship?

Pinching her arm, Erin blinked a few times once she found the ship. Spaceship???? She walked around it a few times in a giddy excitement while also half expecting this to be a horrible prank. There was a weird sound in the sky above her to the left, she looked up in the dirty sky and saw a flying ship lowering to a clearing. She was in an abandoned warehouse with a half collapsed roof. Did they see me? She thought, peeking out from the door to see people in military garb leaving the ship in a rush. They all were running towards the storage unit she had just left. This is really happening.... She realized while backing away from the entrance of the warehouse. It took a few trials and errors before she was able to open the ship and get in. This ship was a tiny pod compared to the one that just landed. “Hello?” She said hoping to hear Mark's old voice. “Thank goodness... I was told they landed and I feared the worst...” Mark said over the radio. Running to the radio, Erin picked it up and hugged it to her. “Who are they?” she asked in a whisper. “You have to start up the ship. Listen to these instructions carefully. You can do this. Once you land on the moon, you will meet a contact of mine.” He started to say when Erin started to cry. She wanted no more of this. Please, just tell me this is a sick joke... She thought while she looked out of the window of the little pod like ship. “Can't you just warp me there?” She half joked while she sniffled, wiping her tears while trying to calm down. “Nah, warping is not as easy as sci fi made it look. We never really mastered that part yet. Not for travel this far anyway.” Mark said then paused before he added, “You'll be ok. Just start the ship and follow my directions.” breathing slowly, Erin tried to calm her growing panic. Flying a ship? Impossible... “I can't... I... I can't.” She said and she backed away from the cockpit, chairs and started to leave the ship. “Erin, focus. Once they see your pod is open and empty they will search. You have to make it to the moon.” Mark said, somewhat scared sounding. “Why? What do they want with me?” Erin said, clutching the radio she felt it start to melt in her hands almost as if it were made out of play-dough. Dropping the radio in a panic, Erin was confused and scared. Her hand print was clearly marked on the radio and it was squished. I... I did that? “Mark? Mark? Hello?” She asked, scrambling to pick up the radio again with a delicate touch. She was scared she broke it. “Ya, I'm here. I can't explain everything over the radio Erin... And they are starting to search. They will find this frequency soon. You have to leave now.” This is like a freaking horror video game. She thought, looking up at the console of the spaceship. I've spent most of my life playing video games and geeking out over stuff like this. The moment it becomes possibly real I panic? Come on Erin, you've got this. She told herself then crept over to the chair. “Ok, how do I close the back first?” She asked, realizing if she flew and that stayed open it would be bad. Would the ship even fly if that was open? Mark seemed rather impatient, but he helped her with all the steps needed. Soon, she was strapped in and the ship was taking off. “Let's just hope all those hours of video games were not a waste...” She muttered while she tested the controls. Time to fly a goram ship.

It was more difficult than she anticipated, crashing through the building she screamed then yanked hard on the controls to get it flying. “The barrier is up, you're fine.” Mark said rather amused. She snarled a shut up before she focused on trying to get the stupid ship to listen. It took a few moments but she was heading to the clouds and into space. “I think they noticed...” She said, hearing a beeping noise she side eyed the radar rather happy it looked like she was expecting. A frown on her face showed when she saw a blip near her. “This is not going to go all Spaceballs and have a tractor beam or whatever will it?” She asked, trying to focus on flying. “Can this thing go any faster?” She also asked starting to panic a bit. Odd, flying seemed easier now, almost fun... if I did not have a big ship chasing after me....”That's another bit of technology we have not achieved yet. Don't worry. They will probably wait for you to land and try to acquire you there. That kind of ship can't go far. So there really is only a few places you can go. Don't worry. I have someone meeting you there.” She was told. Within twenty minutes, only twenty minutes of seeing the stars and Erin was getting used to the fact she really was in space. It was hard to focus on piloting when the stars were just right there, where she could almost reach. She had dreamed of being in space one day. True it was the wistful dreams of a science fiction nerd, but for the love of all, she was really in a space ship and in space. “Hang on. I think I finally was able to hack into your ship. I also think I was able to boost the speed. Want me to take over? Landing is the toughest part...” She heard, realizing she was nearing the moon faster than she expected. “Yes. Please...” She said, rather glad to be done with this adventure. She curled her legs up and hugged them to her while the ship was carefully landed. She stayed put, rather exhausted from the stress. “Erin... you have to head into the crowd. They don't yet have your picture... yet. My contact is a 13 foot tall lion. His name is Rexarmarforious.” Erin paused then blinked. “Wait, lion? Thirteen foot???” She squeaked really sure she did not want to leave the ship now. “His people are a very proud race, and their planet have lower gravity. Seems to make taller humanfolk.” Mark stated. Erin paused then picked up the radio as she said, “Do you trust him?” There was a pause that made her nervous but Mark said, “He's a smuggler. One of the best. I trust he will do his job, since I paid him well.” Biting at her lip, Erin nodded to herself then stood. That's when she remembered she was wearing practically nothing. “I … you want me to go out into the crowd looking like this?” She put down the radio and started to blush while pulling at the outfit to see if it would cover her backside. “I'm light years away... no idea what you look like right now. Besides, it's either that or wait for the alliance to find your ship.” Mark stated. Gulping, Erin held her head high and marched to the exit of the ship. Activating the door she walked out, before she could second guess herself. “Ok, where's the lion.” She muttered then faintly heard the buzz of the radio coming from the ship. “You do realize we can't talk if you leave the radio behind... right?” Mark said rather annoyed and amused at the same time. I knew that, shut up. Erin thought while sticking out her tongue as she marched back inside the ship. “I...I was getting my jacket.” She fibbed. “Riiiight.” Mark teased then once again Erin was leaving the ship. She ignored any looks as she tried to draw little attention to herself, searching for the large lion would apparently be more difficult than she had realized. The moon was inhabited. They were in a dome like space port, something she was excited to see and thankfully it helped her forget her embarrassment. She was looking up to see the dome hundreds of feet in the air, taller than the buildings and there were ships landing where she just left. It seemed really busy and was rather like an airport of sorts. “Is this a station of some kind?” She asked the radio but was greeted with silence. Frowning, Erin was wandering around not really sure where to go. “Here kitty kitty kitty...” She muttered to herself in a nervous blurt. There was a snarl from behind her. Shuddering as a panic set in, Erin turned. There was a man, no... a lion man who was staring intently at her. It took a solid minute to realize he was holding a photo. “You are the friend Mark sent me for. Follow me.” He snarled then walked towards one of the buildings expecting her to obey. What the what?! Erin thought. No way. She stayed frozen in place staring after the large human like creature. He had claws, a mane... even sharp teeth. It was hard to accept such a creature existed. She felt a hand on her shoulder and jumped, whirling around to see the lion man again. “I was told you may want this.” He said, his tone softened somewhat while he handed her the photo. It was her, with Mark back when they were teens. The photo looked so old, like it had been kept somewhere and got bent and rumpled over time. Just how long was I asleep. She thought, tears starting to fill her eyes. “You know him?” She found herself asking, touching the picture softly. “We met a few times over the years.” The man hedged while he looked at the crowd for any signs of trouble. He must have made an impression if Mark trusted this guy with this job. Erin decided then cleared her throat as she held the photo to her heart. “Ok, so what's the plan?” She said out loud and she looked the man in the eye. He still seemed slightly scary, but she had to make a choice. “Follow me, we need to lose your tail.” he said, making her panic all over again. She looked around quickly seeing only strangers. Snarling, the lion man with the name she could not remember, told her to not draw attention to them. “They have not spotted you yet. But they are looking for you. Now calmly follow me.” He added and once again vanished into the crowd. How did one so tall do that? She wondered before she took a deep breath and headed for the building by them. Before she got to the entrance, she heard a snarl and followed the sound. Uneasy, she tried to not draw any attention to herself while at the same time she was not sure she should trust going to an alleyway. This may be space, but alleys were bad news. “Get in.” The lion man said the moment she was away from the crowd. She took a moment to adjust to the darker light and saw it was a large case. She hesitated only briefly when the radio in her hands crackled. She squeaked as she almost dropped it. “Hey, you find him yet?” Mark asked. “Just where the hell have you been???” Erin snapped, relief at no longer being alone with a stranger. “I do have a job ya know...” Mark said rather annoyed. “How the hell would I know? I wake up and everything is different...” Erin once again snarled at the radio this time crushing it completely. Well..... s**t. She was surprised, dropping the radio she wondered. Were all items so fragile in the future? “Get in...” the lion man said again. Erin hesitated then looked at the old photo. Please let this be the right choice... She thought then she climbed into the large case and curled up. There was a hissing sound and a gas floated around her while the lid was closed. Her eyes fluttered shut and she fell into a deep sleep.

“...crushed it like it was nothing.” There was a snarl while Erin started to wake. She felt tired, like she was trying to wake after pulling an all-niter.

Mimicry, that is the name she chose and that is what she became. She had forgotten the name they had given her. She still had the tattoo on the back of her neck but her hair always hid it. She wanted to forget her past. Forget what she endured. Yes, she now took other people's treasures. Made them fear their security. Her calling card always warned them she knew their secrets. They would always remember her now. Her stitched mouth slipped into a smile as she hid into the shadows watching the captain with the new girl. The captain is up to something. But what? She wondered and listened. The captain had been mentioning the alliance way too many times these past few days. It's not that I don't trust him... I don't trust her. Mimicry frowned and eyed the girl in the strange clothes wearing the captain's jacket over it. The girl kept calling the captain Mark. Something about being frozen? Odd... Mim, the name the others called her, tried to listen but not get too close. Those that passed by gave the new girl curious looks but they were busy with their jobs. Mim however had her day free. She had just returned home from a job and learned the captain was acting strange. This was her family, and they were all rather nice to her. They did not ask what happened to her, or why she looked the way she looked. Or why she hid 90% of her body under her clothes. She signed when she spoke, and sometimes used a little machine that spoke for her. She rather liked being on this ship and if she had to leave, it would make her sad. This new girl... why was the captain giving her a tour of the ship? Why did the others not know who this girl was? Mim crept closer and heard him talk about the Enforcers. A shiver crawled down Mim's back as she frowned. The Enforcers were only sent for special reasons. Wait, they were headin to the private rooms. …. Mim was rather shocked. This girl was being given a room? The empty room had been remodeled these past few days. Matalie, red headed girl who wielded a wrench, had mentioned the room next door had been getting some attention. Usually when the empty rooms got reworked it meant a new crew member. But, they were always told when it would be happening. All this secrecy. Why? So odd... Mim thought and she leaned against the now closed door trying to listen. Too muffled. Was... was that crying?

Minutes passed and Mim watched the door waiting for the captain to leave. She was bored and losing interest by the time the door opened showing the captain again, he hesitated at the open door while Mim could see the new girl was sitting on the bed rather distraught. “I'll be back later. Get cleaned up and try to eat something.” He said before he left and the door sealed shut. Curious... Mim thought not really sure what to make of it. A giggle and Mim chased after the captain. He would answer if she asked bluntly, right?

Mark hated that the radio went dead. He kept busy with his duties as captain of the ship but, inwardly he was dreading to learn of news Erin had been captured. He had spent a lifetime thinking she was dead only to find she had survived. Whoever that woman was, and no matter how fishy it was that she hired him, he had to thank her for reconnecting him to his old friend. If Rex had successfully smuggled her off the moon, they would get to Alpha-Getarai -4382 in a few hours. Just have to focus on the job and finish stocking the ship. They were at Alpha-Getarai -4382 primarily to refuel and trade. But he picked that planet for another reason. The planet was one of the few neutral trading planets and safe enough to bring Erin to. While he was lost in thoughts, he was approached by a large thick man with a large scar running across one side of his face, going along past a missing eye and down to his mouth. The man salutes and in a military like voice shouts, "Captain! Do you still have need for lab four?" Practically face-palming, Mark looked at Darv and nodded. “Just keep it ready, I'll contact you once I need it.” He said, and watched the doctor leave. He could tell from the looks of the crew members, some were curious but most knew better than to ask. And if things worked out as intended, everyone will have questions. Sighing, he rubbed at his aged face and tried to keep his mind off of things.

“We've arrived.” Came the call. Hours had passed and he had not realized just how anxious he had been about this stupid call. “Darv, I need lab four. Now.” He called the loyal crew member before he told Rex to head to the ship. Was it strange Mark suddenly glanced at his reflection not sure what he will tell Erin about the time that had passed. So much had happened these last eighty years even. Earth burned due to stupidity, people escaped and went to the stars. I'm a space pirate... Sighing, Mark again glanced in the mirror knowing Erin was still thinking of the twenty something year old man he used to be. “Gal, you've got the ship.” Mark said, then left the room with a swish of his jacket. Making his way to the garage. “Rex. How you been?” Mark said as the cockpit opened and Rex lugged a large case into the room. “Would have been better if I did not have to lose the enforcers... are you ever going to tell me why the alliance wants her?” Rex muttered with a growl. Mark smirked then nodded for Rex to follow him. He rarely called the man by his full name since the accent was hard to properly say. “Maybe someday.” He said as they walked to the med wing, taking the back way. Long ago there was a rash of disappearances followed by some bodies. When Erin went missing one day, everyone somehow knew it was connected. Years passed, however and Erin's body was never found. She was one of the few never found. Never found until now. There were so many rumors back then from conspiracy nuts even reports in mainstream media told of genetic manipulations. But people dismissed it. It was not until thirty years later when the first team of super soldiers were revealed and data was shown to have been around for all those thirty years; questions were asked then buried. “Were there any complications?” Mark asked as the lab door opened. “Some, but I handled it.” Rex simply said. He then placed the heavy case onto the table and pressed a few buttons to release the hidden locks.

As the rejuvenation process was working, Mark eyed Erin lying curled up in that case. She had been hidden within layers of the special case and it kept her safe through all the checkpoints. Erin looked the same as all those photos he had tucked away. She really had not aged all that much. He noticed the markings on her arms, the shaved hair in the back. Oh, Erin. What did they do to you? “There is something strange with her...” Rex said not quite sure how to word his next comment. “She always was a bit odd.” Mark chuckled as he gently moved her hair from her face. She had been his best friend all his childhood. When she went missing it was like a piece of him went missing as well. Having her back was all kinds of strange. “What happened, Rexarmarforious.” He asked while glancing up. Rex snarled a moment then took the broken radio from his jacket. He said nothing and just showed it to Mark. “What's all this about?” Mark asked. “May I examine the subject now?” Darv asked, walking over as he put on some gloves. He had never seen a girl come out of a suitcase before. “Wait till she wakes. Now, Rex... what's with the radio.” Mark replied. Rex shook his mane then pointed, “Take a closer look.” He said, rather amused the famous space pirate was missing the obvious. Mark sighed then looked at the radio again. Wait... was that... “A... hand print?” he asked out-loud. Rex nodded and eyed the reviving girl. “She was surprised too, but when she was upset... she crushed it like it was nothing.” He snarled. Erin moaned as she shifted a bit. Eyes fluttering open showing her confusion. “Hang on...Darv! She's waking up.” Mark said, silencing Rex's comments and indicated to hide the remote. “No!” Erin panicked when she was touched, she pulled away from Darv's touch while she tried to scramble away. “Hey, Erin! Calm down. You're safe.” Mark said, barely avoiding a punch to the face. “M...Mark?” Erin said as she slowly calmed down. “Ya, offering a truce here since I don't have any ice cream on hand.” He said. Erin put a hand to her head and sat in the case before she glanced at him rather annoyed. “Har har.” She mumbled then she held her stomach. “I feel sick...” She moaned and was quickly handed a tray. “Ok, either get out or be of help you two.” Darv said while he brought over a portable scanner to check out Erin's health. “I'll be in the mess hall. You can pay me the rest later.” Rex said. He had nothing more he wanted to say so he left. “Sir... these readings...”Darv started to say when Mark gave him a look before interrupting. “She's behind on her vaccinations. I know. Get her caught up as best as you can. We will deal with this later. Do what you can, and make sure she's ok. I'll bring her back later.” Distracted by her queasy stomach, Erin was only half listening as they spoke. She stared into the tray she just filled with old food that looked like gross chunks mixed with orange. The moment she heard vaccinations she suddenly started to panic again. “NO! Please no! I can't do needles....” She was shaking and pale, dropping the tray that she had just puked in just moments ago. “Well, there is the tank... but I would need to get the aerosol versions.” Darv frowned. It was expensive and rarely used. “Do it.” Mark said, frowning. Erin was never afraid of needles before... She looked shocked still, he knelt by her and placed a hand on her knee as he tried to catch her eyes. “Hey, we'll save that part for later. There are other ways to get vaccinations. You won't get any shots. Can you let Darv finish?” Erin shook her head. “Can't we do this later?” She asked and properly looked up at Mark. He looked older. At least in his thirties. Maybe older. His eyes. They seemed like they had seen much. What happened to her friend? He seemed to care, but he no longer looked at her like the brother from another mother. “How long... long was I gone?” She added, eying him while searching for the truth. Frowning; Mark slid off his jacket and said, “Let's get you a room. You can get some proper rest.” he then helped her down making sure she avoided the mess and put his jacked over her. He now understood what she meant about why she was uneasy about wandering around on the moon dressed like this. “Will be back later Darv. Sorry. Delete all the records from the archives. And let me deal with the others when they ask questions.” Mark added and he ushered Erin out of the lab. He had been concerned about what her experience did to her physically, he did not bother to think of what it did to her mentally.

“I'm sorry.” He muttered while they walked down the halls of his large ship. He was not sure how to act around her or what to say. “No, it's ok. I'm just really tired.” Erin said somewhat awkwardly. Mark paused making things worse and was unable to start a new conversation. “So, Mark. Is this your ship?” Erin asked. He sure acted like he run everything there. Laughing, Mark nodded and he said, “Once you're feeling better I can give you a proper tour. Bet you'd never think I'd grow up to be a space pirate.” Erin thought back to that anime they both loved to watch and she giggled. “So, what does a space pirate do?” She wondered aloud. Pausing, Mark was not sure how much information to tell her right away. “Well, we capture ships, steal supplies. Interrupt the alliances flow and try to convince people the way they rule is wrong and such.” He vaguely answered. Pausing, Erin's brain clicked with something and she snapped her fingers. “Oh! Like the brown coats!” Mark frowned a moment then chuckled. “Oh wow, forgot about that. Back when I first started out I almost considered calling the ship serenity but it's just too big of a ship. Wouldn’t feel right.” For the first time since waking up, Erin genuinely smiled. “How many people are on this ship?” She asked, ignoring the fact she remembered science was nowhere near commercial space travel before. “Eh, about two hundred give or take. Depends on the day. Officially I have two hundred and five crew members.” Mark scratched the side of his face as they walked. “Geez Mark, you're like some kind of big shot now aren’t you?” Erin asked rather surprised. “Hey! Don't act so surprised...” Mark grumbled and Erin laughed. “So, what else did I miss while being frozen?” Erin asked, she would not let that question drop. Sighing, Mark paused. “Well, as you saw... Earth is pretty much a s**t storm. There was a war due to an idiot president and those who knew better, worked towards getting off the planet. Once we get to your room you can check the halo-net.” He replied and he took off his ring to show her. “This is my ID. It will let you use the data pad in your room.” Pausing, Erin took the ring and tried to absorb all the information he told her. “So... like twenty years?” She asked. “The enforcers are still looking for you, they are part of the alliance so you need to be careful when we make your ID later.” Mark completely ignored the question and worried instead about bringing her to the remodeled room. He had only known about this for the last three days, but he wanted her stay to be comfortable. Safe. Maybe that was why he did not want her to know the truth. Opening the door with a blank nameplate, Mark gestured her to enter then he said, “It's been eighty years, Erin... I wasn’t sure how to tell you.”

Shock was Erin's first reaction, slowly she sat down on the bed. “You're lying...” She said, tears filled her eyes. Mark did not look to be over a hundred, this had to be a prank. “Stop joking.... just stop it.” She cried, waiting for a response from Mark. Any sign to know this was not true. “Please...” She choked out but Mark shook his head. “I wish I could.” He said softly. “But... … you can't be that old...” She blurted and Mark laughed at that. “Thank you. I spent some good money looking this way. Plus, human age expediency has reached well past the hundreds by now.” Erin eyed him a moment before she asked, “What happened to my family...” Mark was not sure what to say. He had lost contact with them after a while. It probably hurt them to keep remembering their daughter. “They probably live on one of the colonies.” he shrugged and looked away then walked over to the tiny bathroom. “You press this button to get the shower to work, this one is to open the toilet. There's the sink and your mirror is on the other side of this door. Inside, there are some clothes. Had the girls get some. They went off the photos.” He showed her all the buttons, pressing them and showing her the function of each. As he showed her the tiny bathroom, he vaguely remembered there were water showers back in the day, so she would probably be a bit confused. “It's a fine mist, controlled within this chamber. Perfectly safe. You have my ID, so you can get some personal items to make this place seem more... yours. Just don't max out my card, ok? Oh, there are buttons on the bed too. One to make the bed, another for heat. Just simple stuff. There is an alarm on the headboard, I can show you how to set it...” He started to ramble while trying to show her all kinds of things in the room but he could tell instead he was overwhelming her. “Well... the desk lets you order food too... I'm going to leave you alone a bit.” He said with a sigh and pressed the door. “I'll be back later. Get cleaned up and try to eat something.” He added and started to walk off. Erin heard a giggle and someone say, “Hey captain! Is she your new girlfriend?!?” Before the door hissed closed and Erin was alone in a strange new world. Eighty years in the future.

[12:46:04 AM] Papa Shane: -food dispenser whirrs and makes weird noises before a cup comes down and your food is dispensed in purree liquid form-
[12:46:58 AM] Emily: what the frack is this?
Oh hell no future world
we are going to have some problem up in here with the lack of bacon
[12:47:17 AM] Papa Shane: -knocks on your door-
[12:47:32 AM] Emily: :peeks out: >.>
[12:47:38 AM] Emily: you left me
[12:47:38 AM] Papa Shane: Its just me. -.-
[12:47:43 AM] Papa Shane: I have other things to do.
[12:47:52 AM] Papa Shane: -holds a bacon burger in front of the door with fries-
[12:47:55 AM] Papa Shane: Now let me in
[12:48:11 AM] Emily: :'D surprised pens door wide and snags the food: OMFG (heart)
[12:48:48 AM] Papa Shane: -walks in and looks at food dispenser- Those things only do liquid puree food

[12:49:23 AM] Papa Shane: I thought I told Matalie to give you a tour? Where'd that wrench wielding wench run off to?

[12:55:57 AM] Emily: besides D: doctor who never goes out of style
[12:56:02 AM] Emily: ...................
[12:56:03 AM] Emily: right?
[12:56:06 AM] Emily: D:
[12:56:12 AM] Emily: omfg I never saw the next season

[1:12:43 AM] Papa Shane: And as for Doctor Who. Capaldi was a complete ruin. Clara only got worse and after fans rebelled, they picked up that red head kid from Harry potter as the next Doctor and he lasted three seasons with Benedict Cumberbatch as his gay companion.
[1:13:05 AM] Emily: o.o

.........................................................
[1:13:08 AM] Emily: :curls up again:
[1:13:11 AM] Papa Shane: It was an interesting finale.

[1:17:26 AM] Papa Shane: all my guns are awesome. -walks along some of the outer halls that have thick windows that show space, and a glowy blue force field- Stole the ship straight from the factories. Largest of its kind. Horribly understaffed right now but I can only feed and pay so many people. 43 floors. As long as 17 football fields.. Had 3 biodomes where we grow large gardens that create the oxygen that keeps us alive, and grows the vegestables. Bottom level has large biodome with fields and grass for livestock so we can provide our own meat. Ship has two control rooms. And several hundred various guns.
[1:19:27 AM] Papa Shane: Been too long, don't remember anymore. Elevators go horizontal and vertical. Just say your destination. Armory. And off we go. -crosses arms while elevator moves across ship and down 5 levels before door opens-
[1:19:37 AM] Emily: :keeps looking around, then notices you entered the elevator:
[1:19:57 AM] Emily: o.o so like the wonkavator
[1:19:58 AM] Emily: sweet
[1:20:00 AM] Papa Shane: This is the armory. -waves out to dimly lit hallway with military writing that says "armory" with arrows that point to weapons locker, firing range, storage, testing, experimental weapons, and combat training-
[1:20:10 AM] Emily: o.o
[1:20:11 AM] Emily: Oooooooo
[1:20:12 AM] Emily: shiny
[1:20:14 AM] Emily: so
[1:20:15 AM] Emily: shiny
[1:20:22 AM] Papa Shane: -takes you through some hallways to the firing range-
[1:20:39 AM] Emily: :tries to follow, fingers itching to play with guns: o:
[1:20:40 AM] Emily: yesss
[1:21:40 AM] Emily: is there something that shoots flames? >D
[1:22:38 AM] Papa Shane: -firing range is large room with targets far off in one side, room divided by explosion proof glass and stalls to shoot from. One side of room has large thick steel lockers with red codes that say locked and a weapon label on each-
[1:23:01 AM] Papa Shane: eh. Flames don't work well in space combat and you never know when someone blows an airlock and renders your flame thrower useless
[1:23:08 AM] Emily: :dances about looking at all the weapons:
[1:23:09 AM] Emily: awww
[1:23:11 AM] Emily: that sucks
[1:23:12 AM] Papa Shane: We mostly stick with slugs, bullets and lasers
[1:23:13 AM] Emily: but
[1:23:21 AM] Emily: Oooo
[1:23:23 AM] Emily: sound fun
[1:23:24 AM] Emily: >.>
[1:23:31 AM] Emily: I wonder if the sleep messed with my skills
[1:23:42 AM] Emily: I will rage if I miss
[1:24:38 AM] Papa Shane: -opens up a storage locker and hands you a dinky laser gun that attaches to wrist- Safety is that red button. Aim, pull trigger. Dematerializer gun. Kinda.. basically melts people.
[1:24:56 AM] Emily: o: wickeddd
[1:26:07 AM] Papa Shane: -hands you a pair of safety goggles-
[1:26:10 AM] Emily: :glances at the weapon before attacking it. Pressing the button and glancing at the targets. AIming, she fired: o.o Hmm
[1:26:12 AM] Emily: <.<
[1:26:13 AM] Emily: >.>
[1:26:15 AM] Emily: Oh
[1:26:18 AM] Emily: :puts on goggles:
[1:26:23 AM] Emily: I did not miss
[1:26:25 AM] Emily: XD
[1:26:44 AM] Papa Shane: -watches as it hits target dummy and fizzles since its not a living thing- Good shot
[1:27:05 AM] Emily: At least I have this still
[1:27:09 AM] Emily: >.> how long can I stay here?
[1:27:16 AM] Emily: cause
[1:27:37 AM] Papa Shane: -detaches the wrist laser and puts it away and brings out a huge rifle with mounted scatter grenade launcher and hands it to you-
[1:27:39 AM] Emily: this feels fimiliar. @.@
[1:27:48 AM] Emily: ******** yaaa >D
[1:28:12 AM] Papa Shane: Standard issue battle rifile. Grenade explodes in a wave of shrapnel that project outwards. Since fire and explosives are less effective in space we use those instead.
[1:28:29 AM] Papa Shane: Has burst fire, single fire, and fully automatic
[1:28:38 AM] Emily: :hefts that bad boy and glances at it:
mama like
[1:28:38 AM] Emily: s
[1:28:47 AM] Papa Shane: Modified with shield piercing bullets but still takes several dozen shots to nullify a shield
[1:28:59 AM] Papa Shane: Reduced recoil. So barely any kick back
[1:29:08 AM] Papa Shane: -turns off the safety and hands you a magazine-
[1:29:09 AM] Emily: Hmm is there dummies with a shield to shoot at?
[1:29:21 AM] Papa Shane: Won't let you fire off a grenade. But feel free to spray and pray
[1:29:23 AM] Papa Shane: Yeah
[1:29:28 AM] Papa Shane: that button to your left brings out dummies
[1:30:24 AM | Edited 1:30:42 AM] Emily: :slides the magazine into place, then presses the button:
Hmmmm :slides the rifle against her shoulder as she sets it to semi auto and fires at the dummies:
[1:31:06 AM] Emily: Yup
[1:31:09 AM] Emily: I like this gun
[1:31:13 AM] Emily: >.> what's next biggrin
[1:34:15 AM] Emily: can I maybe help out at the shooting range? biggrin
[1:36:22 AM] Papa Shane: Afraid not. Only people I assign special permission can enter this room. Also, guns in here only fire when pointed at a dummy, and the tip of the barrel is past that red safety line, otherwise they kick into auto safety mode
[1:36:43 AM] Emily: ; . ; but
I loves it here
I never want to leave
[1:36:54 AM] Emily: and
awesome
they finally did gun safty eh?
[1:37:38 AM] Papa Shane: Only for training guns. Made for combat versions are still just as reckless as they were when you were growing up
[1:37:57 AM] Papa Shane: Anway, emty the chamber. Unload the magazine and put the gun back in that locker
[1:38:01 AM] Papa Shane: Lots more to see
[1:38:10 AM] Emily: Hmmm
I see
[1:38:10 AM] Emily: >.>
[1:38:32 AM] Emily: :switches to automatic and shoots the rest of the dummies in a controlled sweeping motion:
[1:38:35 AM] Emily: I loves guns
[1:38:53 AM] Emily: :puts the gun back with a little pout:
[1:39:02 AM | Edited 1:39:10 AM] Emily: >.> kinda just a tease now, knowing I can't come back here
[1:40:09 AM] Papa Shane: I can tell. Also, the ship has sweeping sensors that scan for unaurhtorized guns. If you buy a gun and bring it aboard, I need it registered. I'm sure some of my more crafty crew have already bypassed these counter measures, but I like to keep stock of what weapons are on my ship
[1:40:40 AM] Papa Shane: And I'll try to bring you here again, but if I suddenly give a random newcomer that nobody knows special access to certain parts of the ships, I'll be inviting questions we don't need

[1:44:20 AM] Papa Shane: We use full body pod scanners these days. But still have doctors -.-
[1:45:14 AM] Papa Shane: -prys you off and leads you into a large, typically hospital white room with dozens of large pods with glass cases. Several what appear to be nurses and or doctors roam about, though not dressed as such-

o: are there like those bacta tanks here?

[1:48:25 AM] Papa Shane: Yes. We have rejuvination tanks.

[1:59:10 AM] Papa Shane: -enters elevator and closes door- What do you want to see next?
[1:59:40 AM] Emily: o: can I see the stars? like
o: how I pictured it
is there a room with a view?
[1:59:57 AM] Papa Shane: Sure. Observatory
[2:00:14 AM] Emily: biggrin yay there?
[2:00:20 AM] Emily: and is there an exercise room?
[2:00:22 AM] Papa Shane: Already on the way
[2:00:28 AM] Papa Shane: And there are multiple gyms
[2:00:58 AM] Emily: >.> how does the elevator know if the location is stated as a destination, or if it is just convo
[2:01:17 AM] Emily: a swimming pool at all? :looks hopeful:
[2:01:32 AM] Papa Shane: -Elevator stops and enters a room from the floor, doors opening to reveal the top of the ship. Nothing but a forcefield keeping in head and oxygen, the stars shining all around and off behind the ship a bright blue glowing planet with hundreds of tiny dots for islands-
[2:01:38 AM] Papa Shane: The elevator AI can recognize tone and pitches in voice
[2:01:45 AM] Papa Shane: It works it out itself
[2:02:00 AM] Papa Shane: This room isn't accessible during any state of code red, or emergency
[2:02:17 AM] Papa Shane: Or if the shields are being repaired
[2:02:29 AM] Emily: o:
:is nervous at first then steps into the room.: this is breathtaking!
[2:02:43 AM] Emily: does the ship get code red often?
[2:03:12 AM] Papa Shane: Yes. Often enough
[2:03:13 AM] Emily: what planet is that?
[2:03:29 AM] Emily: <.< are you still causing trouble after all these years?
[2:04:10 AM] Papa Shane: That's Alpha-Getarai -4382. Its a neutral trading planet. Were using it to refuel and restock.
[2:04:13 AM] Papa Shane: I'm a space pirate.
[2:04:17 AM] Papa Shane: Its my job to cause trouble -.-
[2:05:37 AM] Papa Shane: -elevator lowers itself back into the ground and vanishes- Just say Elevator, to bring it back. As I said, it can decipher if your calling it, or just saying the word in a sentence
[2:05:57 AM] Emily: :brain refuses o remember the planet's name: @.@ >.> is there some techno like memory chip for brains?
D:
Nautral planet eh?
biggrin like toydaria was for quite some time
Hmmm
gotta be careful with them though
each side I bet is trying to pressure a side change
[2:06:06 AM] Emily: o.o well I like trouble :Shrugs: so
[2:06:09 AM] Emily: I guess this is ok
[2:06:21 AM] Papa Shane: toydaria?
[2:06:22 AM] Emily: o: ok
[2:06:32 AM] Emily: ._. Star Wars refrence
[2:06:52 AM] Emily: emotion_facepalm I bet people don't even know about that series these days
[2:06:55 AM] Papa Shane: Ahh.. right. I'm too busy remembering real planets to fill my brain with sci fi anymore

[2:08:19 AM] Emily: o: like cloud city? biggrin
[2:09:53 AM] Papa Shane: And there are cloud planets, but nobody has reliably made tech that would allow a city to float and be safe from the harse weather conditions of those planets
[2:10:27 AM] Emily: Awww
More sci fi bubbles burst
But, reality is still kinda way cooler
[2:10:33 AM] Emily: biggrin hey! you remembered the show
[2:10:34 AM] Emily: yay
[2:10:54 AM] Papa Shane: My brain didn't deterriorate that much >.>
[2:11:05 AM] Emily: well, you did kinda get a bit old
[2:11:06 AM] Emily: ;D
[2:11:32 AM] Papa Shane: most aliens are far less advanced than humans unfortunately. They call them lesser races. Like the Lion guy you met. Very native race. didn't so much as have cars or anything
[2:11:50 AM] Emily: I doubt they would even need cars o.o
[2:11:53 AM] Papa Shane: The Alliance find these races, take the people as "slaves" and harvest their worlds for vegetation and stuff
[2:12:00 AM] Emily: D:
[2:12:00 AM] Papa Shane: He's pretty quick on his feet
[2:12:09 AM] Emily: what a mean mean alliance
[2:12:23 AM] Emily: :frowns: they need to be taught a lesson
bad
[2:12:24 AM] Papa Shane: Just humans doing what humans have always done
[2:12:31 AM] Emily: <.< well humans suck
[2:12:35 AM] Emily: and I wish I had that shirt still
[2:12:47 AM] Papa Shane: At least we disproved the whole God thing. /shrugs
[2:12:55 AM] Emily: ^5 to science!
[2:13:03 AM] Papa Shane: Anyway, I need to return to the main bridge. -calls elevator-
[2:13:21 AM] Papa Shane: So we need to stop by the tech lab so I can get you a credit stick
[2:13:26 AM] Papa Shane: And a id badge
[2:13:27 AM] Emily: wait, is there a swimming pool?
[2:13:29 AM] Papa Shane: So you don't get arrested
[2:13:31 AM] Emily: OOo
[2:13:32 AM] Emily: Id
[2:13:32 AM] Papa Shane: Yeah, we have those
[2:14:15 AM] Emily: I did not look. was there a swim suit in that room?
<.< oh
and how do I get back there. XD I don't want to enter the wrong room
[2:14:16 AM] Emily: o.o
[2:14:39 AM] Emily: credit stick eh?
like in Doctor who biggrin
[2:14:46 AM] Papa Shane: -steps into the elevator and waits-
[2:14:51 AM] Papa Shane: Yeah, like in Doctor Who.
[2:14:56 AM] Papa Shane: Now hurry up and get in
[2:15:04 AM] Emily: >.> :glances at the stars once more then enters the elevator:
[2:15:18 AM] Papa Shane: Just like how star trek shaped the 21st century, its still shaping how we create things
[2:15:30 AM] Papa Shane: Well, sci-fy is still shaing how we do things
[2:15:31 AM] Emily: well that is actualyl kinda reassuring

[2:15:55 AM] Papa Shane: -waits as elevator moves about and opens to an small room with a assortment of junk and gizmos-
[2:16:02 AM] Emily: o:
[2:16:05 AM] Emily: ohhhhh
[2:16:09 AM] Emily: I like this room
[2:16:28 AM] Papa Shane: We hide our id chips in everyday things. Bracelets, socks, necklaces, rings, shoes, scarves, hats. Anything
[2:16:39 AM] Papa Shane: It would be stupid to run around with badges that actually said "Hi, I'm a space pirate"
[2:17:03 AM] Papa Shane: so just pick something and i'll encode it with a chip and that should start you off with basic permissions to move about the ship
[2:17:08 AM] Emily: :looks around:
and makes sense
though o.o
<.< wait :whispers: my name is still kinda illegal
[2:17:18 AM] Papa Shane: Pick a new one
[2:17:26 AM] Emily: ; . ; I like my name
[2:17:34 AM] Papa Shane: Pick a new last name
[2:17:41 AM] Emily: o: I can do that
[2:17:43 AM] Emily: Wells
[2:17:56 AM] Papa Shane: Thousands of Emilys Erin's out there
[2:18:04 AM] Papa Shane: I doubt the alliance will pick you out amongst them
[2:18:10 AM] Emily: still? biggrin
yay my name still rocks
[2:18:11 AM] Papa Shane: though the name isn't exactly is style right now
[2:18:15 AM] Emily: >.>
[2:18:17 AM] Emily: well
[2:18:19 AM] Emily: darn
[2:18:21 AM] Emily: XD
[2:18:49 AM] Emily: so wait
pick something?
[2:18:51 AM] Emily: >.>
[2:18:51 AM] Papa Shane: I said thousands >.> Humans are hundreds of billions big now
[2:18:52 AM] Emily: <.<
[2:19:00 AM] Emily: woa
[2:19:01 AM] Papa Shane: We expanded
[2:19:05 AM] Papa Shane: That's what we do
[2:19:06 AM] Emily: O.o humans are like bunnies
[2:19:07 AM] Emily: sheesh
[2:19:16 AM] Papa Shane: There are a race of bunny people...
[2:19:20 AM] Emily: o:
[2:19:22 AM] Papa Shane: You should see them populate a new planet
[2:19:25 AM] Emily: sexy
[2:19:30 AM] Papa Shane: Anyway, yes. Just pick a random trinket in here
[2:20:09 AM] Emily: um
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
:digs about and picks up a cuff style bracelet:
._.
[2:20:34 AM] Papa Shane: Good enough. Hand it here
[2:20:41 AM] Papa Shane: And pick a last name please
[2:20:51 AM] Emily: :hands the bracelet over:
[2:22:53 AM] Papa Shane: -takes the bracelet and puts it in a encoder machine and starts typing up a fake bio, using pre-created algorithms to create a adaquet backstory that won't draw any suspicion. Wells? Sometimes, you have to step outside of the person you've been and remember the person you were meant to be. The person you want to be. The person you are.
[2:23:01 AM] Papa Shane: -hands you bracelet back-
[2:23:46 AM] Papa Shane: I almost paid an arm and a leg for my pair of converse. Hard to find em in this day and age.

[2:25:43 AM] Papa Shane: -hands you a hologram tablet- Like tablets in your day, except they project images outside the screen. It'll have a map on it and I've listed key locations and your room.
[2:26:12 AM] Emily: :plays with the tablet:
[2:26:15 AM] Papa Shane: We have holodecks now too
[2:26:21 AM] Emily: epiccc
[2:26:33 AM] Emily: is there a VR training ground?
[2:26:36 AM] Papa Shane: Mostly used for.. extracircular activities and to blow off steam. You can find it on the map also
[2:26:52 AM] Emily: like battles
[2:26:52 AM] Papa Shane: Holodeck in the firing range has the VR training sims
[2:26:54 AM] Emily: <.<
[2:27:01 AM] Emily: o: nice
[2:27:05 AM] Emily: I want to go back there
[2:27:29 AM] Papa Shane: Maybe later. I keep getting beeped to the main bridge so I honestly should go see what they need
[2:27:41 AM] Emily: can I come with?
[2:27:42 AM] Emily: ._.
[2:27:54 AM] Papa Shane: Afraid I can't grant you clearance : /
[2:27:56 AM] Emily: it would be nice to meet more of the crew
[2:28:05 AM] Emily: I hate beign a newbie
[2:28:17 AM] Papa Shane: I can call Darv and have him escort you around if you'd like.
[2:28:21 AM] Emily: can't you say I am like a relative?
[2:28:37 AM] Papa Shane: The man would stick a wrecking ball up his a** if I ordered him to
[2:29:08 AM] Papa Shane: And I don't think that'd work since all my relatives are on file. It'd put up red flags if I suddenly gained a new cousin or somethin

[2:34:08 AM] Papa Shane: Living quarters. -waits quietly as elevator shuffles around the shift and the door opens- Here we are. I know its a lot to take in, but the good part about pirates and the type of crew I have is that they all keep secrets and hide their past. So as long as you look like you don't want to be messed with, they'll leave you alone. We have some talkers on board, but nobody should pry too far into your personal life.

[2:37:50 AM] Papa Shane: If you need anything, you can send messages via the tablet. If I can't get away, then I'll send someone to assist you. So you can leave the elevator now.

Should I call you captain? or Shane Mark? or O.o what
:starts to leave elevator:

[2:39:06 AM] Papa Shane: Captain. I don't go by Shane Mark anymore. Stopped using that years ago

[2:39:18 AM] Emily: :salutes: aye aye

[2:39:36 AM] Papa Shane: -nods and closes the door and goes to the bridge-

[2:41:07 AM] Emily: :checks the map on the tablet and finds room:
:closes door behind her then, places tablet on a table. Curling up with a pillow she sighs.: I wonder if there are real lightsabers these days...
