Every so often I come across a metal band on YouTube that is from the Middle East and I don't know why, but I find it kind of shockingly awesome as to how they sound so good to me. This particular band, Betzefer, is from Israel. I am just loving their lyrical content and sound, and their imagery isn't bad at all.
So I have a question, are their any metal bands from surprising parts of the world that you have come across? I'd love to know.

British metal had a massive uprising back in the day. India has seen a resurgence in metal as well. My current favorite is Demonstealer.

Is Demonstealer from India? My Boyfriend was just talking about India coming back, or rather rising up into the metal scene recently.

Bloodywood is from India, and they're freakin' awesome! Definitely made me do a double take. I've been meaning to do some deep google dives to find any other hidden gems from less-expected countries, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

If I recall correctly, UnSun was from Poland.
Damn! I was about to mention those guys!
Awesome!

I've just stumbled upon an old black metal band from Switzerland called "ENOID" that's killer. Shame I'm so late in their career.
Anyone heard of Orisha Shakpana? They're a Black Metal act from Jamaica.

There's a power metal band over in Japan that turned my head their way. While they don't necessarily look the part of a metal band, they're quite skilled and talented. Even more so when I found out they write and sing their songs in english, which doesn't normally happen with japanese bands. I started listening to them earlier in the year and I still haven't had enough of listening to their music. Check out Lovebites if you haven't yet.
