Government: Their Government is a Tyrannical Oligarchy. Ruled by The Grand Council and the upper class. Laws are strict and more oppressive the lower in the class system you go. The poor tend to be judged harsher than the rich. One would think this would bring unrest but this is seen as normal for their society and it is taught as the best way of government
Culture: There is a visible divide between rich and poor, the rich live lavish lives and the poor work for them. Being a leader of the galaxy’s luxury goods the owners of such companies are in the top class having lower class Citizens work for them serving them and manufacturing their products. The best job someone born to the poor class can get are personal servants to the rich and are paid nicely by Lower class standards. Names are a first name and a last name.
Planet: Vegni Prime 8 is a mostly water planet there is one oceans and several seas divided by what land there is. The ocean is considered dangerous as many have disappeared below the depth thanks to the other sentient species on the planet. They control the smaller seas and the land. The land is nearly taken over by city and ranches for food. Fishing in the seas is also a major food source.
Mating/marriage customs: It is forbidden to marry outside of class borders and this is even strongly enforces when growing up. The rich marry who they want though arranged marriages ar not unheard of. Most will marry to increase their own wealth. Poor marry for love and tend to have a much lower divorce rate than the rich. It will be encouraged to marry someone closer to the richer class but not required.
Technology: They are quite an advanced species with even the lower class having access to these technologies. The manufacturing of luxury good is one of the more bolstered technologies as is convenience technologies. Star ships and off planet travel are reserved for the rich and their staff.
Religion: Their religion is a polytheistic one, basted of night and day. While the belief holds for everyone. Each class has adopted their favorite. The poorer class favouring the night deity who favors strength of will and the richer the day deity who believes in favors. Whichever is more expressly worshiped the belief is the same. Earning an afterlife based on one's deeds to others. However, not everyone follows the beliefs.
Appearance: They are humanoid and run taller than most humans. Their height runs from 6’ 5” to 7”3” with some discrepancies they are lanky and smooth skinned than can range in color. Along the spine, brow, and neck, they had larger bioluminescent scales. They require moisture often leading to plenty of public bathhouses for the poor and private pools for rich families. There is even pools on their ships. They are excellent swimmers and can breathe in both water and air.
Growth and Education: Most are born during the warmer season of their planet, anu usually several hundred in a season. Though they get born together there is alway an instinctual knowledge of one's parents. The designated area where the young are cared for is heavily guarded with limited access to any one. This stems from an ancient time where many infants were lost when the other sentient race attacked them and killing a great number of them. The young are heavily guarded by those trained all their lives to do so. Typically 3 kids are born to the rich and 5 are born to the poor. A particular group will usually all be born at the same time. Only once it is time for them to be born do they get to meet their parents. Education starts at age 5 till age 20. Lifespan reach 175 to 200 earth years.
Diet: They are carnivorous and usually will harvest animals from the land they have dominated. They can not digest plants and will end up getting sick if one is stupid enough to eat them.
Views on other species: They do not think highly of the race they share their planet with, considering them brutish and uncivilized. Otherwise they have little opinion of other races, not thinking good or bad of them until they prove otherwise. They are more judging one another's races actions and if wrongs will hold a grudge.
