I absolutely fell in love with this book. The main character was fun and realistic and I was so worried for him the whole time. When I finally got to the end of the story I had to laugh out loud.

I'm really looking forward to you guys' opinions. =D

I liked the whole "potatoes on Mars" thing. That was an interesting process to read about. And then to read him complaining about.

I also really like how it jumped perspectives and showed you not only the people trying to bring Mark home, but the crew who had left him behind without realizing he was still alive. Everyones personalities felt real and solid throughout the book, like I was reading about real events. (I wish.)

I read the book when the movie adaption came out. This is the first time I read a book in first person which made it interesting, like your in the character shoes, and then it jumps to third person when it gets to the "mean while on Earth" parts.

Despite being more of a survival genre, I like the comical parts in the story to lighten up the mood when its suppose to be a life or death situation.

I think my favorite parts is when he make comments about the movies and music choice. I honestly don't know he manage to stay sane listening to disco the entire time (not knocking disco or anything. If that is all you have for music wise, yeah..)

Overall the book was worth the purchase.

Divine Moonstone

I actually haven't watched the movie yet. Heh.

I really did enjoy the little humorous parts. Can't stay sane without a little humor. I also really love his choice for theme song at the end there, it was pretty perfect.

I really connected with him through the whole story, it was really well-done. I think it helped that our senses of humor lined up a lot. sweatdrop But I found him to be a really easy character to connect with. I definitely agree, this is worth reading.
