General Info: Alea started life the same way that his sister did, silent with a song in his blood that he could not let out into the world. However, the Fayths took some sort of pity on him, once he was far from his family, alone with no way to communicate properly with anyone he came across. They gave him back his voice, with a bit of a twist. He could add no inflection to it, so everything he said was in a bored drawl, like he had no emotion in him at all. Still, it was better than the silence. He still couldn’t sing, or make known the music he could always hear, but he could speak, now.

A Wish and a Star brought him home, escorting his older sister back to their family as well. Alea was fond of Suni, and he wanted to protect her from her greatest threat. Their brother, Aveshar. Aleatoric did not hate his brother, because it was not in him to hate anyone, but to say they were close would be a lie. As part Kalona himself, he had thought he would relate to Aveshar, but found himself doing everything in his power to stop Aveshar from carrying out whatever plans or plots he had going.

Alea is a soldier, steadfast and true, though he thinks little of himself. He thinks the sole reason he was born was so that someone had the strength to stand up to Aveshar. That is his purpose, that is life. Nothing else.

General Info: Ars spent most of her young life following orders, the good soldier, the perfect pawn in her father’s schemes for his father. It wasn’t until she could see the difference between how she was treated and how her father treated those he actually loves that she broke ranks and set out of her own. She wants nothing of her family’s drama, their silly little disagreements. Though, to be fair, she doesn’t know much about the other side of her family. She has been avoiding them.

Instead, though, she has taken to watching, and strangely, protecting those she comes across. At least, those odd enough to draw her attention. It was an odd feeling, to care about the life of someone else without any prompting or assignment, but she found herself drawn to those who might need her. Those who wanted to know her, not as a Faythren, but as a Soquili.

She had been trained well, and fighting was something that she was very, very good at. So, protecting the few others she came to like was no hassle. In fact, it was a joy to be able to use her skills other than for war.

If the Faythren ever did wage war, finally giving into their desire to fight one another, Ars wasn’t sure if she would help one side or the other, hinder one side or the other, or just sabotage both sides because it was all so stupid.

General Info:As Avant’s first son, Ultima Canticum strives to be everything he believes a kalona should be. He has always fought against his sisters with everything he had within him. The older he got the harder he fought, not just against them but everything the world could throw at him be it strong foes or help offered by a stranger.

Ultimately Ultima is selfish. He does what he wants, when he wants. Nothing is more important to Ultima than himself and his desires.

General Info: The younger sister of Aveshar, Kelakohr, Sunisra, and Seriav; Casalure is the older sister of Zeibekiko and Riddle. She is Aunt to Arioso and Kalira; as well as Keshani, Avant, Adevina. Understood to be the second surviving child (after Seriav) of Ballad and Whistle born in the Kiwani Lands, her parents are understandably protective of her. As is typical, the family attempts to curb her wandering hooves with limited success.

Used to getting her way, Casalure eagerly travels through the lands and entertains herself as best she sees fit. This is frequently to the frustration or worry of her family, herd and the guardian swallowtail jay that usually follows her around. This occasionally results in scuffles between her and local ruffians, though it can also lead to her making friends with strange newcomers that sweep in to rescue her. Perhaps not needed, but certainly appreciated. Still, as Fayth of Wanderlust, it is certainly no great surprise that one of her keenest joys is wandering at every opportunity.

Cas has a sweet voice, a laugh like silver bells, and a light stride that can fall to dance steps without any hesitation. She likes to race the wind through the trees, seems most alive at dusk, and will never pass up the opportunity to dance in the midst of a storm. Hide and seek in thick fog is also a favorite of hers, though it could be argued that her glowing eyes give her an advantage As few of her family revels in the chance to frolic in the rain, Cas appreciates friends with similar interests that will indulge her in her peculiar hobbies.

General Info: It was quite possible that Zei had a little bit of a death wish, the way he would stand up to Aveshar. Well, so long as Alea was in the area to protect him when he managed to make Aveshar homicidal. It felt really important to him, to draw that anger, that chaos, that darkness to him, lest it should hit someone else. Someone important to him. He wouldn’t let that happen, not as long as he was alive. Alea was good, he was strong and could stand up to Aveshar to keep him from doing things, but he was hidebound, sticking to rules that Zei couldn’t understand, and didn’t try to.

Zei did love all the Light in his family, but if pressed to choose a favorite, it would be the one most tormented by Aveshar, Kelakohr. Even though Zei was the younger brother, he want to protect him. It was hard, since Zei had nothing in the way of training. No paws or claws that might give him an advantage over his much larger brothers. Honestly, he felt like the only thing he had to fight with was his wits, and sometimes that wasn’t enough.

Zei was constantly seeing the evil in everyone who wasn’t devoted to being good, though the familiar that bonded itself to him, Adamant, was always trying to point out the flaws in his thinking, trying to get him to come to some sort of understanding with the darker music. Honestly, the raven was probably just waiting for the right time to lead him into a trap, some sort of long game being played by his niece, and Aveshar’s daughter, Keshani.

General Info: Both an unexpected white and the youngest, Sunisra was born a favored child, delicate and treasured by her parents. She is close with her brother Kel, but from the very start has been the source of outrage to Ave. Loathed by her dark-hearted sibling, Suni was constantly a target for Aveshar's wrath and frequently defended by Kelakohr. However, in spite of that she remains a friendly, loving individual. Her and Kel's feud with Ave eventually lead to him leaving the family behind, which by default will cause some friction between herself and Seriav, the next Faythren Child, who favors Aveshar of all the siblings.

As ever, the wandering spirit of the Fayth Clan ensures that they see things (both strange and wondrous) in their travels. Wearied by the travels or otherwise inspired to return to her family, Sunisra is the last of the far-wandering children of Ballad and Whistle. She has finally joined her family in this new land, just in time to meet the new members and be on hand for rising threats.

Called home at last, she comes escorted by her brother Aleatoric. She is overjoyed to see her parents are united and have recently welcomed new children. It is something of a relief to find that Aveshar has separated from the Clan and started his own line, as it means she is free to reunite with her parents in relative peace. Seeing Kelakohr and meeting her new siblings is also an unexpected delight, though she is saddened by the obvious resentment Seriav holds for her. It seems even now that nothing will go smoothly for her family, they are on the cusp of war.

Sunisra herself is not a creature of war, but one of hope. Still, if her parents or siblings are standing against a threat, then she will stand with them. If the monsters that once ravaged the peaceful lives of her parents have again returned, then Sunisra will help her family to drive them off. If fate is kind, perhaps she will have a chance to mend the fractured bonds of the family. If not, then she will watch it break apart and help when it is time to pick up the pieces.

Regardless, she is here now. Their Hope has Returned.

General Info: From the moment she emerged from her basket, Adevina Takhi has been… distant. Though she can't deny that she has a connection to her siblings and father—she learned how to utilize every ounce of Kalona blood in her from them, after all—it's difficult to not feel detached. Since her youth, Takhi has been irrefutably aware of her half-bloodedness. While some pure-bloods would sneer at her winglessness, even as a filly she would have pride in the idea that her Kalona blood manifested in mind rather than in body. Quietly cunning, Takhi hunts from a distance. A patient predator, she waits. She has long-since turned a blind eye towards the arrogance of the pure-blooded mentality.

Though her actions throughout her lifetime have been generally aimless, self-serving, and in the moment, Takhi has not been immune to the possessive tendencies that run in the family. In the wingless mare, however, this has manifested into a fixation on something indescribable. Something just out of her grasp. Takhi is often found looking towards the horizon, as if she is looking for something just beyond the earth's curve.

Takhi has not made any close connections with other individuals, and she silently doubts that she has such capability. At the moment she is far more committed to herself and her own desires, and even above that her actions are driven towards whatever distant horizon or intangible goal is eating at her heart.
