Personality: Sagi is a pretty standard, dedicated type. He takes his training quite seriously and is always trying to improve his own abilities. However, unknown to others, Sagi is improving his skills for a much bigger goal than one could assume. While others want to be higher ranks, use stronger ninjutsu, or to maybe become a Kage, Sagi actually trains to slowly develop methods of genetic modifications, ways to disable targets, and how to increase the innate abilities inside of a shinobi, even through implant procedures. Sagi's outlook on life is a bit darker than most. He has a constant awareness of the inevitable death of every living things. Because of this, Sagi strives to obtain ultimate power before he dies, making him curious about possible experiments he could perform to lead him that way.
Because he knows that the things he's interested in are taboo, he does not ever talk about his intentions or his experiments. He leads others on to believe he's only striving to be better at being a shinobi all around. Sagi's family has always been full of skilled medics. Most of them became field medics as shinobi or, for those not gifted with the potential to become shinobi, worked in the village treating illness and general injuries. Sagi was just another member of the family to Koizumi clan with an innate control over their chakra and potential to become a shinobi. Sagi, born a male in the slender body in an androgynous female body, was always picked on for the way he presented himself. He didn't quite fit in anywhere with the others of his age and few of the teachers would give him the attention he needed to be able to improve his skills of a shinobi. Eventually, he fell behind the others and had to spend more time in the academy preparing to become a genin. At the age of fifteen, he had finally shown his ability and was allowed to move into the first of the shinobi ranks.

Personality: Tomo doesn't have the most complex personality. He's pretty straight-forward in pretty much every way. He knows what he likes, what he doesn't like, what his beliefs are, and most importantly he knows what he wants. Tomo strives for success, but not in any monetary or superficial way involving a stupid title. Tomo wants to learn all that he can about the world around him, his allies, the villages, chakra, and what it takes to change the world. He has an intense desire to rise above all others and stand atop his own pedestal, proud to be who he has become. That is the success he wants one day and he won't let anybody stand in the way of that.
Dreams and aspirations don't define Tomo, however. Relentless, unyielding... Those are much better words for him. He's always headstrong, pushing forward through anything in his way or prodding until he gets what he wants. A friend of his once had a beef bowl for lunch that Tomo wanted, so he ended up trying to get a bite. He harassed his friend for nearly a half hour, chasing him around the street swiping for the beef bowl and begging for a bite until he finally got what he wanted when his friend got to tired to fight back anymore.
He isn't always a bully, though. Tomo cares deeply about his allies, and, even more so, his friends. Anything he can do to help those around him to improve or success in their own way, he will gladly give his aid without hesitation. When they fall, he'll be there to pick them back up. Even if they turn away his assistance, when Tomo is actually concerned for his friends, he'll be there anyway to help them. Whether it's training nearby them and keeping an eye out on his comrade, or just him giving nonstop advice on everything to annoy them into letting him help.
Inquisitive is also an accurate description of the leaf-nin. Tomo likes to know as much about anything as possible. He isn't looking to know everything about everything, but he will try to learn as much as possible from any source of information of anything he finds interesting. His face has never been brighter than on the day he learned of ninjutsu.

Come the birth of their children, the Maki family was elated beyond belief. They had brought a pair of twins, a boy and a girl, into this world. Until, the baby girl had complications moments after her only slightly younger twin brother left the womb. As she was being held for the first time by her father, the child stopped being able to breathe. Choking, hacking, and trying to cry. She wasn't able to make it in the end, despite the efforts of the medical team. Tomo, the living twin, would come into this world alone without his sister.
Nothing really bothered Tomo about this. Of course, he had to be told by his parents about the loss of his twin, which did happen when he was four years old. Even then, he seemed capable of understanding the situation a little bit and slowly understood it better and better as he aged. Years into his life, Tomo's personality had already begun to explode into that of a confident, unyielding, and inquisitive young man. With his discovery of the fact that ninjutsu exists in this world, he had his sights set on becoming a shinobi and using that to explore the world to learn as much as he can about it and everything else. Up until his graduation from the academy, Tomo had lived a relatively simple life. Things are about to change drastically for this young man as he begins his journey into the world.
