Personality: A sociable gem, she needs companionship on a fairly frequent basis or she becomes despondent. She is glad to form relationships with as many people as she can no matter their ranking, and lacks the condescending attitude that some higher-ranked gems have towards lower ones. Paddi cares deeply about others, and is more likely to try and use her future vision to help someone with their own personal troubles than to predict threats to her own welfare. She has a zest for life and discovery, and becomes most animated and joyful when learning something or meeting someone new; this side is often damped down by the monotony of her day to day life, but will reignite every so often. As a gem that can see one version of the future, altered events - things that don't go exactly as she sees them - surprise and delight her, and those that prove difficult to predict become all the more fascinating to her.

Bio/History: An uncommon form of an already rare gem, Padparadscha Sapphire has been an aristocrat since her creation. Blue Diamond had her fashioned in this orangish hue of pink with the intent of giving her to Pink Diamond as an extension of goodwill. She was sent to Earth along with several Ruby guards. Unfortunately, this Sapphire's time on Earth was very brief, as Pink Diamond was shattered shortly before her arrival. Paddi was immediately called back to Homeworld by orders of Blue Diamond. For some time she found herself sequestered away under uncertain terms - Blue Diamond could scarcely look at the pink Sapphire without beginning to weep. The diamond's anguish over the reminder of her destroyed sister soon turned to desperation to preserve whatever part of Pink's memory remained. Thus, over time Blue Diamond came to cherish Padparadscha, as the Sapphire was a reminder of her last gift to Pink Diamond. Most of the time Paddi is covetously guarded and restricted to certain areas of Homeworld for her protection; while she is deeply fond of Blue Diamond and does not want to violate her wishes, Paddi secretly longs for a chance to explore and experience more of the world she has seen so very little of.
