Mackenzie looked at Cody and smiled at him. "I'll gladly show you my drawings. Just ask any time." She giggled softly before looking up at him and smiling more. "Okay! Thank you very much!" She said before cocking her head to the side a little. "Malasadas?" She said curiously before smiling again. "Those sound good." She said before she watched as Cody recalled all his Pokemon to their Pokeballs. The brunette then started to follow him towards town before she paused a moment as something felt off. Turning around, the girl then noticed Arcanine still siting there. "Come on Fang." She said, waving him over. "Arooo." Arcanine whined softly. A concerned look crossed Mackenzie face. "What's wrong Fang?" She asked as she walked over to him. "Aroo." Arcanine whined again before he stamped his front paws in the sand before his ears fell back. "Aww. Fang." Mackenzie giggled as she hugged around the Arcanine's neck. Fang was worried about stepping on a small Pokemon again. "You will be just fine as long as you don't run off again. Just stay by my side." The Arcanine looked unconvinced before he stood up and walked over to Mackenzie's side, leaning against her a bit.

Cody nodded to her when she said that she would show him her drawings whenever he wanted, but when he was about to head out, he noticed her going to fang and began to interact with her pokemon. As a trainer, he could tell she had some issues controlling her pokemon but she was a good person and he knew she had a love for pokemon. He knew just how hard it was to get some pokemon to listen but friends or not, pokemon were their own creatures. He walked over, "Im sure you will be fine Fang, how about this, promise to stay by Mackenzie's side without running off and I will get you the biggest Malasadas they have for a fire type pokemon." he said as a bit of a treat for the arcanine. He figured that giving the overly excitable pokemon something to think towards would help it focus for now, at least he hoped that it was okay with Mackenzie and he planned to get her Luna something as well. When things were all settled, he began to lead Mackenzie and her pokemon towards the shopping district just behind the beachfront.
