■ BASE CAPABILITIES -- Imprint can replicate the powers and abilities of anyone by touch. He is also able to take on the unique physical characteristics of those he copies if power related, for example; wings for flight.
The nature of his power makes him a very versatile ally or foe to have in any given situation. Although he can't copy memories and skills, his mutation's nature allows him a small minimal degree of control and understanding when an ability is first imprinted.
Imprint's power to mimic abilities is limited to one person at a time and are only half the potency of the original possessor. Once a power is copied Imprint must train and develop the ability in order to use it well. Although his mutant nature makes it likely come easier for him, nonetheless he still has to learn on his own how to use the abilities he copies.
The powers he copies are not temporary and won't fade away over time. While the power is permanent once copied the only way to let a power fade is the copy of another to take its place. It is impossible for him to become a "blank slate".

■ ABILITY CAPABILITIES -- The very first replicated power that proved to be the catalyst which changed MJ's life at the young age of eighteen. He's chosen to refer to the ability as Smoke, although in actuality Typhokinesis is the ability of absorbing, controlling and redirecting smoke, fire, and embers.
The full potential of the original mutant is unknown. Over the course of his own experience, with only half the potency of this ability, Imprint has discovered and trained for a variety of different ways to use such a gift. At the core of Typhokinesis, the fundamentals are centered on Imprint's will to generate, shape, and manipulate a collection of airborne solid, liquid particulates, and gases. Typically emitted when a material undergoes combustion or pyrolysis, together with the quantity of air that is entrained or otherwise mixed into the mass to make smoke.
Offensively, smoke kills by a combination of thermal damage, poisoning, and pulmonary irritation caused by carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide, and other combustion products. Although such methods are within his ability to use there are several non lethal alternatives for Imprint to pursue. Commonly the power mimic can be seen utilizing the control over smoke molecules to alter their density as a form of solidification for smoke shots/blasts.
Projectiles, a mixture of black smoke and orange embers, collide with an impact of minor thermal heat and force. Not all that powerful in themselves, Imprint can take advantage of their low output by focusing on their swift fire rate to distract and pummel enemies in rapid successions. The quick travel speed of his smoke projectiles makes it suitable for close and mid range combat, but not long range.
Another tactic used commonly by Imprint is based off his ability to dematerialize and materialize into a wispy cloud of smoke and embers known as his smoke dash. Mainly seen as a semi flying method of movement, Imprint can use this dash to close the distance between himself and others, and can even use it go through them, until he then re-materializes.
Since he can dissipate into smoke, the power mimic can dash to go through structures with openings, like chain-link fences, iron bars, pipe-like structures, and ventilation systems. It isn't uncommon for him to clear out or conjure smokescreens for visibility or providing a means of cover for himself and allies.
