Yes, I know as Libertarians we'd prefer to simply ignore the major party candidates, just like they do to us, but sometimes you just gotta speak out about their outrageous behavior. Where Trump is concerned, this is the place to do it.

Well, what can I say? Trump should have had this Election in the bag, as once one major party vactates the White house, the other is usually elected, becuase the voters ignorantly think that that will change anything. He's also running as the political outsider, and against Hillary Clinton, of all people! Hillary, as we all know, has been in politics for nearly 30 years, and has ZERO chance of convincing people she's going to "change" anything. Yet, Trump has somehow manged to shoot himself in the foot, and alienate nearly every major voting block. Latinos, Women, Blacks, Veterans, Disabled People, you name it, and he's probably done something to piss them off. Angry White People are about the only ones he's managed to hold on to, and even then he's still neck and neck with the most political insider one could imagine.
Sighs. Well, it's not like I'm voting for him anyway, and both he and Clinton are so unpopular, many more people are thinking about voting third party this year then ever before. Not sure they will actually vote for us, or get drawn back into the the "Lesser of Two Evils" trap, as has happened so many times before. But really, after 8 years of a Democrat in office, HOW could he have POSSIBLY ******** this campaign up so badly that he's practically tied with possibly the worst candidate the Democrats have ever run? HOW?!

Well, I suppose I should go ahead and mention that he actually won, somehow. But that's as far as I'm going, because even the lesser of two evils is still evil.

Well, since we're going to be stuck with him as President for at least four years, if not eight, I might as well move this topic back to the Libertarian Discussion forum. After all, the Elections over, so there's no sense in hiding it in the Election forum, when we have so much Trump-bashing to do.

Well, his first day on the job, (since I assume the President doesn't work on weekends) and he's already facing a lawsuit over not divesting himself of his businesses, claiming it violates the Constitution, but I seriously doubt it'll change anything. People only seem to care about the Constitution when it suits their interest, otherwise, it's the most ignored law in the history of this country. And yes, the Constitution IS a law. In fact, it's SUPPOSED to be the Supreme Law of the land. Except for minor things, like that bill of rights, which only apply when we're well behaved sheep. If they even SUSPECT you of a crime, or if they feel the need to "Protect Us" from some unspecified threat, those so called right usually fly right out the window. Tis sad, but true.

Ok, I just gotta ask. How in the HELL does D.T. think that we can stop a bunch of jobs going to Mexico, dramatically increase the unemployment rate by deporting a bunch of Illegal immangrats, Impose a massive border tax on all goods coming out of Mexico, and STILL expect them to pay for the wall?! He is basically waging all out Economic Warfare on the country of Mexico, dealing them one devastating blow after another, and yet he still thinks THEY'RE going to pay for his 2,000 mile long Pet Project? I HIGHLY doubt that's going to happen.

Well, we all knew that this was coming. D.T. has abandoned any pretense of understanding or caring about the Supreme Law of the land, otherwise known as the Constitution. He now thinks that he can override the 14th Amendment, which grants citizenship to all "natural born" Americans, with an Executive Order. Even the mainstream media admits that he CANNOT do that. But he isn't listening, as usual. His excuse? "They" told him that he could. Who exactly are "they"? The voices in his head? It's the only explanation that makes sense.

So now D.T. has once again shown his true colors. Not only did he approve OF the use of tear gas against migrants who are still technically in another country, but he's now threatening to shut down the border "permanently " unless Mexico does what he tells them to do, and to shut down the Federal Government if they don't give him $5 million for his border wall. Yeah, the one Mexico was supposed to pay for. Guess he figured out that wasn't going to happen, so now he wants us to pay for it instead.
Well, I guess there are worse things than the government NOT wasting borrowed money for a few days. Government "shutdowns" typically restrict the Government spending to tax dollars, meaning that it can only spend the money it bilks out of the American taxpayers. A sane government would operate this way ALL the time, and wouldn't need to "shut down" when it can no longer dig itself deeper and deeper into debt. But as we all know, our government is anything, but sane.
