Hey all, in an attempt to get some activity happening in here, I'm posting a bunch of topics that we may talk about. So let's talk about other shows we love to watch but that haven't taken the place of Hannibal, or that have been cancelled like Hannibal and those who did that to us should be eaten!

Here are my faves as of right now.

Chicago Fire, PD and Med (soon to include Justice)

*my favourite thing about these show is that they can all run into each other. They have their own casts but they are all based in the same world of Chicago and because of this they can start a plot in one show and carry it through 4 shows now. It makes for a super well developed plot and almost movie quality tv.

Sherlock BBC

*love this show, hate waiting for it.

Hawaii Five-0

*got invested in the characters in season one and can't stop watching, eventhough the seasons haven't been as great as year one. Danny is my favourite character and generally when I am writing fanfiction, this is the fandom i do it in.

Supernatural

*sexiest brothers on TV!!! Also, I love the paranormal so...yeah.

The X-files

*they made a comeback this year and has been my OTP since I was in high school I really hope they do more event series like the one in 2016

Forever

*Forever was an amazing show that aired for one season on ABC. It had so much potential and really was an incredible show that was cut short. I really hope that they can shop it around and find it a new home.

Lucifer

*Lucifer started off slow for me but by mid season I enjoyed the dynamic and where it was heading. I am looking forward to seeing where this show goes.

Alright, I can't think of anymore that I am really into, what do you all have to share?

On line I found the movie "Memories of a Murder". Its a Korean film (subtitled) , but based on a real serial case. There is a series loosely based on the same but with an odd element of sci-fi . It's called "Signal" and its pretty interesting.Other titles I like :
Preacher
Luther
The Killing
Broadchurch
True Detective( season one )

I like Elementary, it's another series that's changed up the genders of characters and added more diversity to tv overall. It's also just a good series, great cast and writing and also, bees. (Was Fuller involved somehow...?)

Law and Order SVU for my Raúl Esparza fix, yesterday I caught a rerun of the ep where Barba was introduced and the guest star was Anna Chlumsky. *X-Files theme plays*

I don't know, I like Hannibal and things that remind me of Hannibal. emotion_0A0

I totally agree with you there. If it reminds me of Hannibal or has actors from Hannibal, I'm pretty much going to check it out. Same goes for my other fave shows

I love a ton of different shows (though lately there doesn't seem to be much on, especially now that Game of Thrones is over for the season.) Right now I am currently enjoying Preacher on AMC. It's strange but I like it. I've also really wanted to watch The Path on Hulu but haven't had a chance to subscribe to it yet. Mostly I have been trying to find anything like Hannibal. I was loving Penny Dreadful, but I am only on S1 and now that S3 was it's last, it's like Hannibal all over again... Other than that I've enjoyed Breaking Bad, Bates Motel, Supernatural (only on S1), American Horror Story, Boardwalk Empire, and stuff like that. As well as most sitcoms on CBS. Lately I've mostly just been focused on Marvel movies and fanfics for that as I don't have much to watch on TV...

Forever was a good show, but I think the problem was how generic the cop/mystery aspect was. The real strength of the show was the aspects of the past mingling with his present life, character development, repetition of the times, ect. That should have been made the focus of the show. Certain aspects felt very much banking on Sherlock fans. . .

I try to do the same, or take the summer off of TV and write, or read, and then I get back into things in the fall.

I agree with you there. I loved the show. I loved the Sherlockians ways. But I mostly love Henry's flash backs, anything involving Abe and Abigail. Mostly Abe the adult interacting with Henry and how at times the roles could be reversed and other time is was still like a father son thing between Henry and Abe. (Does that make sense?) It had so much potential, and Adam was turning into such an amazing anti-hero/antagonist/villain. By the end there I was questioning whether he was a villain or not.

Usually I never read that much in the summer for some reason, but this summer I have read a bunch of books. I try to catch up on all the shows I wanted to watch but didn't have time to during the normal TV season. I think it was two summers ago I watched all of Breaking Bad. Then I felt bad that it was over so fast...

That is the problem with a major marathon, especially if the show is over...
