Gyel glanced at the money bag and thought for a moment. "I trust you with my money, you keep it, I would likely lose it, I have already lost two bags like that." He said with a bit of a chuckle to himself. The sad part of that statement was the truth in the matter, he never was really good with keeping items on him, and so he lost many things. As he turned and headed for the door, he glanced back at the old man and nodded in thanks.

"Tell me about your father?" He questioned Yunari, he wanted to know the man who his father had held so highly, he didn't feel any power coming from the King when he had met him, but he wasn't really in any condition to know such things. "If it makes it better, if you tell me a thing or two I will answer any questions you have about me, that way its fair." He said as he exited the shop and stood on the street waiting for her response.

Ren stood there, his hand still on his sword, he wasn't one to urge battle but it bothered him with this woman, she was cocky. He had read about her clan in books, he knew what those colors and signs meant. He was wearing nothing but casual clothing, but he thought this was a chance. "Please disregard my last question, I will be placing you under arrest now." His eyes changed to narrow slits as he watched the woman.

Drawing his sword, he glanced towards Luna, but quickly returned to the woman in front of him. He stood up tall, and took a deep breath. "As a Knight of the Kingdom I can not allow a possible connection to the killings leave this site." His words were full of conviction and he held not concern for her story, his mind was made up. In a second he sped towards her, closing the distance between the two of them in seconds, his sword drawn back and swinging at her neck, its curved nature made it a weapon for quickly ending the live of those who confronted him.

Lyna didn't like the tone the girl used but she looked back at the body with a small node and agreed there was a lot of madness in this kill and it wasn't the first she only hoped it would be the last now that Ren and her where on the case. Lyna looked over at Ren he seemed to still be on the defense could he scene something she didn't about this girl. "whats your nam..." Lyna was cut off by Ren, supersized by the tone of his voice she didn't quit understand what he was say, why was he going to arrest her. When he started to move forward Lyna jumped back to insure she wasn't going to get hit by his blade. " Ren what are you doing?" Lyna couldn't believe how fast he moved.

“My father?” Ray questioned softly. Why would Gyel want to know anything about him? She didn't want to think it was a trick or anything but it wasn't like she could give him any information that could hurt her father. The man was very secretive about most things. Ray folded her arms as she found her way to the main street and sighed softly “He's a good man, I think. Drawing the line between king and father is difficult for him because his people come first.” He'd put the mass before her as she was only a single person but she understood why. Even if she was his daughter, she was but a single life among many. ” I know the stories, like most children of this era. He brought people together and formed a nation with the help of several tribes.... but..” Ray trailed off and glanced down at her companion. Could she trust Gyel? She'd only met him today but he was much more than she'd initially thought him to be.

“There is a darkness to every light.” she mumbled softly. They were words that belonged to her mother, words that had been repeated to her by the maids and castle staff that had raised her. She came to a stop at the end of the main road and frowned as a breeze rustled her hair. She flattened it against her head with both hands and sighed softly once more “Can you keep a secret Gyel? I'm not talking a kiddy secret either.” She didn't know what she would ask him in return but she'd been unable to talk to anyone about it and the thought of speaking the words now both terrified and excited her.

“My father... is dying. The court physician gave him a few years at most and the healers are doing the best they can but....” Very few people knew of this. The court physician, herself and a small handful of her father's most trusted men. The rest of the people went on oblivious and the healers just thought he was sick. Ray shook her head of the thoughts and changed the subject. “ When I was very young... that man Yuri spoke of came to the castle. There was a fight. My father almost lost. I don't know much about it but I remember a bright light that tore through the castle. It burned like fire and blinded me. When I could see again, they were both gone.”” She'd never seen her father's ability but she knew he had one. He couldn't have come to rule a nation without one, that just didn't make sense. “Things changed after that....but I guess it's your turn now... what were you doing outside my home Gyel? The more I think about it, you didn't look like you were coming in any time soon.”

-------------------

“Arrest? Funny” She would have liked to have a more witty comment but the man was already moving and she had sheathed her weapon. Not that any of that mattered. He was fast, faster than she'd seen any of the people from this place move, but she felt her brothers were faster. She dropped to the ground as the sword came at her. It sliced through a bit of her hair but she paid it no mind as she twisted and kicked a leg under the man. From her position on the ground she pushed back and pulled herself back into a standing position while arming herself in the same swoop. She could tell him of her connections to the princess and her orders from the king but that would ruin the fun as this man clearly had something to prove. Why else would he attack someone who didn't fit the bill? Her blade was the wrong type for this murder and she didn't have a speck of blood on her. Not to mention the killings went on at night and this man was dead before she arrived. She didn't expect him to know all of this but she had explained it quite clearly to his companion.

Blue orbs darted over to the woman who's stepped back during all this. She could take her hostage. The woman didn't look armed and they had arrived together so they obviously knew each other. She thought it over for a few moments before deciding it was a bad idea. She would have to get past the guard and then risk being stuck between the two of them. If the woman was stronger than she looked, she'd be in trouble. Women weren't common in her tribe for just that reason. Most of them couldn't handle the heavy work or the harsh living conditions so they died or simply left. Yunari stayed. She trained and she became stronger. “Attacking a person who has disarmed isn't very knightly” she shot at the man as her fingers clenched around her dagger. She refused to use her ability, even if it would give her the upper hand, as she didn't wish to damage the crime scene before she was done examining the body. She also didn't want to stop the fight. The little red headed brat has left her with a bad taste in her mouth and beating up the so called knight, would be a great way to release her stress.

The blond brought her hand up and bit into her thumb. As a bead of blood formed she traced a circular symbol on the back the hand that held her dagger. It glowed a faint red before melting into her hand. “Come then, knight. I'll play with you a bit” She shifted her weight and kicked at the ground to increase her speed. She wouldn't kill the man, if it came to that, because as much as he hindered her ability to do her job, he didn't strike her as the enemy.

She jerked her blade down in a fluid motion towards his upper arm. She'd always been a close combat expert but his sword had much more length than her blade which meant she had to be wary of it. If his eyes were good he would see the rippling under her skin from the force she was using. While her attacks were not meant to kill, they were meant to seriously injure should they land.

Gyel placed a hand on his chin in thought for a moment, he didn't react to the news that the King was dying, he had felt a weakness in the man like a roaring fire about to fade. His eyes followed the princess as she answered his question. "Good men do what they think is right." He said in a note more to himself then towards Ray.

In the tale of the King fighting a man his eyes widened a bit but quickly returned to normal, he wasn't about to give any more answers than he had, but he knew the story was likely connected. He stopped when she finished and asked about his reasoning for coming to the castle. He thought for a moment, she had given me a lot of information and much of it left a lot more questions.

"I came to beg the King for Esta in exchange for my life." He said with a hush tone. It was one he wasn't proud of, but the reasoning was likely more terrifying than that. "I am banned for my clan, and cursed to only use a fraction of my powers and even that causes a extreme pain to not have control over it anymore." His eyes glanced to the ground in thought as he struggled to find the right words. "I murdered the entire male population of Esta in order to keep them from taking a contract to kill the King two years ago and in doing so my mother cursed me to never wield that much power again." He spoke quietly so not to make others hear.

"If I use my powers to my full again, the scar on my chest will clutch all the muscles in my body and rip my heart apart, and so I came to the Capital to redeem myself with my life." He said as he glanced back up at Ray in question of her thoughts on what he had told her.

-----------------------------------------------

Ren was kicked out from his motion and started the fall to the ground. His body twisted and his palm landing on the ground and spun so he was kneeling before the woman. A small smile spread across his face, he couldn't recall the last time someone had actually fought him. This woman was not worrying about clearing her name, she was ready to let off some steam and he smiled for his fact.

His sword shifted in his hand and he laid the dull edge against his forearm. His eyes noting as she attacked him, the blood rushing to his ears he couldn't even hear what she was saying. Lunging upwards to meet her, his sword meeting with her dagger and it stopped his push forward locking their weapons together.

"I like this game." He said out load to himself in truth.

'Good men do what they think is right.' Was that what her father had done? She lightly touched her chest and felt a frown sink deep into her lips. Under he dress, hidden from prying eyes, she wore a necklace given to her by her father that night. After he'd returned he was worn down and sickly looking. It was clear that he had just barely won the fight but no one ever said a word about it. She let her thoughts wonder as Gyel spoke. Two years ago? Gyel was only a child. How did he kill so many people? And why would he protect her father? She bit her lower lip and averted her gaze. How much did he know and how much could she tell him? He was enduring so much for someone so small and to not be able to use his abilities to the fullest... She understood that a bit but her abilities didn't cause her pain, to the best of her knowledge anyway.

“Why did they want my father dead?” She questioned softly as she came to a stop. They weren't far from the crime scene now but she felt that this conversation was a bit more important and not something they should speak of around the guards. “And why did you go against them?” She was more curious than anything but while she knew her father to be good, or maybe just good around her, she knew sometimes difficult decisions had to be made, like with her mother. She winced and lowered her hands to her sides. She flattened out her dress and resumed walking. The more she thought and spoke about this, the more she felt something darker clawing it's way into her head. Something she wasn't suppose to know, or remember.

She looked down at Gyel, a blank expression taking residence on her face. She wasn't afraid of him, though she should have been with his story of death but he'd made no move to hurt her this far when he had more than enough opportunity. “ I forbid you from dying Gyel. You can't find redemption from the bottom of a grave.”

----------

'He's quick' The blond thought to herself as the man moved away. He looked like he was having fun which was both humorous and annoying. Of course this was a mock of a battle so she knew she had to keep her emotions in check. Their blades met and she witnessed a spark from the force. “He's tough too' She hadn't expected the Hammerash people to have such strength, especially because they lived behind such thick walls. This one must have trained hard or been blessed with skill. She pressed back, not breaking her stance as she analyzed his movements. She would give him a parting gift, or at least work at it. How much time would she need? Thirty seconds? If he were a normal man but the chief constantly warned her not to underestimate her opponents. "You're gonna have to work a bit harder than that."

Bright blue orbs stared the man down intently. He had yet to use any ability other than his fighting. She'd be wary of a hidden skill but wouldn't use anything flashy until he revealed it. For now, she slid one foot behind the other and pressed her weight forward to throw him off balance. She then made another swipe at his feet before she rolled across the ground and went for a hit again. If she were going for a kill she would have gone for his neck but she wanted to test him so she went for his chest. She made a quick straight jab with her dagger and then swiped sideways in an attempt to cut him.

Watching as the girl kicks Ren back Lyna see the the blond look back at her a small tremble down her spine but she wouldn't let her guard down ( if only I had a weapon all I can use is my shied ability to stop her from getting to me or push her back if I can throw it up at just the right time the only way she would see it is if the sun was hitting it in just the right spot). Lyna she the girl run towered Ren with a a smile on her face she looks over at Ren and hes smiling to "REN WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING THIS ISN'T A GAME IT DOESN'T APPEAR THAT SHE DONE ANYTHING".when she hears their playful banter back and forth Lyna just rolls her eye.
