Hovering far above the ground is the wonder known simply as the Battlefield. A flat platform made of a highly sturdy alloy kept aloft by advanced magitech, it features several smaller floating platforms and has a dense clear material in several locations that allows one to see the clockwork and mana batteries keeping the whole thing afloat. Falling off the side leads to certain death, as the ground is not visible due to cloud cover below. It seems to be night, as the sky is a dark blue, specked by many stars and visible nebulous clouds.
One fall is all it takes to be ejected from the field. No items will drop this battle.

Nariva had been fighting in the Mist Wars for a few years now, after defeating the Elder Dragon Xaitan. She had traveled the mists quite a bit, and had used many forms of travel to do so. But this time, something felt off. Travelling between Waystones usually didn't feel like it took more than an instant, but this time, it felt drug out, like she was traveling a distance further than she could fathom. It could have been hours, or it could have been seconds, All Nariva knew was that it was taking too long, and that couldn't be good.
Then, all too suddenly, her boots hit solid ground. She had her twin axes at the ready in an instant, ready for whatever danger awaited her. She felt the impending danger instinctively. Something here was ready to fight her.
Then her vision cleared and she finally got a good look at her surroundings. The giant square platform seemed to be floating above the clouds. She'd seen similar things before made by the Asura, but this place felt wrong somehow.
Nariva did not belong in this place.
Then, in a flash of light, other figures appeared around the platform.

She was surrounded, teeming hordes of zombies, monsters made of slime, scarecrows, and all manner of unspeakable creatures. She was trembling uncontrollably, her eyes darting around frantically from grotesque pumpkin face to dripping black goo split with a sinister smiling maw to torrid rotting disconnected jaw to massive furry spider mandables to fully feathered heads with eyes so sharp they alone could cut to faces made of sand that seemed to melt but never lost form to snarling wolves with bloody snouts to..."HA HA HAARRRR!""GAH! WHO--??"She fell backward, only barely aware that she'd managed to miss the masses behind her. With ragged breathing, she looked up to see the massive skeletal face of the Pirate Master looming over all of the other creatures, positively oozing dark magic."What?? But how?!""OH, I HAVE YOU TO THANK! OR DIDN'T YOU NOTICE?"All else seemed to fade to endless black as her attention was brought to..."But that's..."The golden lamp seemed enveloped in purple dark magic, floating right in front of her face. There was a steady stream of pure white being sucked right out of her body, and it was going dark just as it entered the spout of the lamp. Just as she realized what she was seeing, the stream went dry, leaving her feeling hollow and numb. She fell to her hands and knees, panting harshly."HA! NOW YOU'RE NOT EVEN A MEASLY HALF GENIE! I'VE GOT IT ALL! HARR HARR HARRRR!!"As the sound of the Pirate Master's laughter filled her head, the ground dissolved into nothingness, sending her falling into the endless black depths. A tiny white light seemed to penetrate the inky black, and eventually she found herself falling into it until blinding white was all she could see, hear, taste and feel. In the long distance behind her, she could still hear laughter booming her teeth out of their places."HARR HARR! YOU'LL NEVER SEE YOUR MAGIC, YOUR MOTHER, OR ANYONE YOU LOVE AGAIN!""NO!!"Shantae bolted awake just as some unseen force slowed her decent and placed her firmly on her feet. She was powerfully disoriented, and her mind was thoroughly addled. She blinked a few times and looked around, she was on some kind of metal and glass platform. Beyond the edges she could see nothing but clouds and sky. And she wasn't alone. A huge creature that looked like a lion seemed to be waiting for her, with rather imposing axes in either hand at the ready. Shantae readied herself as best she could, rattled as she was. It couldn't have been real...

The Stranger ran. Dashing forward, bounding on all fours away from several pursuers. The pack of Slogs behind him couldn’t catch him in the forest. No one could, but it didn’t matter too much when the outlaw following right behind the Slogs began to fire his rifle blindly at him. He had to get away. The Slogs had his scent. They’d be after him for days. He could hear more yelling coming from behind him. More Outlaws. Every second counted here. The Stranger leaped at a tree in front of him and clawed his way as high as he could before leaping to another only to have a bullet collide with where he just was.
He leaped from tree to tree. Safe from the slogs but not from the rifles. Bullets flew wildly he stumbled his grasp more than once as some tore branches around him. Than all too soon the trees began too thin.
"We've got'em now boys! Just a lil further and the Stranger'll get caught on the cliff!"
The Stranger leaped from the trees and looked around. Slogs and outlaws coming from all directions. All but one. The Stranger was cornered his back up against a cliff. Out from the forest the came the ugliest of the bunch. An old Outlaw that went by the name Jo'Momma. She glowered at him through her crooked reading glasses and pursed her slug like lips showing off her red lipstick.
"Well, well, well Stranger. Thought ya were smarter than me?Old Jo'Momma? I've been doin this kinda thang fer a loooong time. You aint know nothing. So Stranger what do you got ta say fer yerself? Hurting alla my boys? Don'tcha know only I'mma allowed ta do that?!"
The Stranger inched closer to the cliff's edge and eyed downwards.
"Stranger! I asked you a darn question! Now answer JO'MOMMA!" She roared. The Stranger looked at her and put his hand on his hat, and fell backwards. He held onto that hat for dear life as he fell down.
"WHAT?! NOOOOO! GO AFTER EM BOYS!!"
It wasn't the roaring waters at the end of the cliff that met The Stranger on the way down. But a flash of light and he found himself standing on a metal platform and two figures. Both looking ready for a fight. One he was more than willing to give.

Nariva lunged into action, flinging her off hand axe at the larger of the two figures. No time for questions. Nariva would ask them after she was finished knocking her opponents silly. It took only a moment for Nariva to cross the platform, giving the small purple haired girl precious few moments to react before the Charr was upon her, axes spinning.

Shantae was taken completely by surprise by the giant lion creature's rush. She still didn't have any idea where she was, she had only just woken up from some horrible nightmare that she wasn't entirely convinced wasn't real, and now there was a lion person pouncing her. She pulled off a quick backdash, twirling out of the path of danger."EEP!"Her hands fell to her sides in a dainty pose a split second before lurching her head forward. She pelted her hair forward more times than could be counted, unsure of how many would hit, but fairly certain of her aim."HAH!"

The flying axe struck the stranger square in the chest. It only made him pause for the briefest of moments. Groping for his satchel he grabbed a boombat and threw it onto his crossbow. Dashing forward into range of the lion creature that threw the axe, took aim and fired.

Annie finished spending her gold as best she could for the situation at hand. A team fight was in the making and she would be needed soon. She made sure her health and mana were full up and set her teleport on the mid lane turret. She giggled, holding a small stuffed bear in her arms and thinking of all the people she'd get to burn. The purple lights surrounded her and she dematerialized.
It didn't take long for her to notice something was off. Coming back into being, she found herself outside of Summoner's Rift. This unfamiliar place had a few familiar faces though. In the opposite corner of this strange battlefield, three champions had just began to assault one another. She recognized Rengar, Lulu and Twisted Fate. Though the arena was new, her purpose did not change. She held tight to her best friend's hand and a sadistic smile crossed her lips... her right hand catching flame. She spoke to the stuffed bear in her left hand. "Let's have some fun Tibbers." Tibbers, of course, had nothing to contribute to the conversation. But she knew he was somewhat the shy and silent type. Skipping leisurely over to the battle, she could not contain her joy.

Nariva was struck simultaneously by the onslaught of hair whips and the exploding... bat? She also noticed the small human child for the first time. She snarled, and threw her axe at the taller enemy again, then reached out to grab the girl with the pony tail by the neck.

"Gah!She felt the sharp pain of her hair being pulled and found herself unable to move. Shantae hadn't seen the great lion paw nearly soon enough, and she was caught in its powerful grip before she could react. With a bit of panic, she struggled as much as she could to escape the huge creature's hold, but to no avail. What is even going ON here? I have to... get... free--!Though she seemed guaranteed to fail, she had to at least try to break out of her assailant's hold.

This time the stranger was prepared for the axe thrown his way and quickly ducked out of the way. The Stranger stood and snorted loudly," Picking on a runt huh?"
The Stranger put his hand on his hat and scanned his surroundings, the lion stood there grabbing the purple haired one. Noticing the small red haired child skipping towards the three of them. He burst into action loading a chimpunk into his crossbow and firing it at his feet than leapt into action. Bounding forward on all fours towards the lion, as he got close he leapt into the air and twisted into blind dropkick at the lion creature holding the smaller figure.
