        Personality :: Just as the child she exudes physically, Mei is flamboyant and happy all the time. She works well with her court companions for the sole fact she is like the child of the group, and she enjoys climbing on tall people or things, and acting very childish when she can. She enjoys playing games, whether sadistic or usually innocent, and her love for food knows no bounds. Mei is a very mystical person, reading whenever she gets the chance of the many religions that sprouted in her time in the human realm, and she enjoys telling people of her findings when the occasion arises. She's very protective of certain individuals, and she seems to do everything in her power to protect them, whether verbally or physically.

        Seeing as she is a lot older than what she physically perceives, her personality has another edge to it. When in combat she turns into a very different girl, forgetting her own strength and ends up harming others more than she intends. Though she regularly wishes to enter combat with another, whether it be because of her own thought of defending someone's honor, kicking some sense into them, or what have you, the after events weigh heavily on the girl's mind. Mei is like the spring, always sunny and flamboyant. Her happiness stretches to all those around her, and she enjoys to give all of the emotions away to those who desperately need it. She is never against helping others, and she would put herself into danger before allowing anyone else to place such a burden on themselves. What she has done was not because of her own wishes, but because she truly believed it would help the society as a whole. She is very easily manipulated, however, and the murder of the captain commander may not have entirely been understood by the small girl.

        Background ::

        Chapter 1 : Keeping it Awesome "To live is to believe."

        Born at the beginning of the month of spring, Mei's name derives from her flamboyant nature and the beautiful blossoms. She was born of of two beggars a long time ago. The amount of time is unknown, though she doesn't usually enjoy bringing it up regardless. She was born in Thailand but this is not where she grew, being abandoned as a babe and taken to the far kingdom of the Empire, otherwise known as England. It was here that she grew into a capable young girl after many hardships, her abilities used to keep herself alive on the streets of the growing beautiful city. The lush greenery, the beautiful olden castles, and the vast amounts of lakes and rivers spanning the areas didn't hold much wonder for the woman, trying all of her might to use the little ability she could to get by and survive. There were many moments of unspeakable things done to the girl whenever her abilities failed, but she endured the best she could.

        It wasn't long before the girl crawled her way into one of the many churches, offering her death to the gods, begging them to end her suffering after her skills continued to fail her. The gods, however, were silent but in their place another came to her. A being of majestic darkness, offering out its skeletal hand to her in offering. The little girl took it, wishing for her suffering to be at an end, but it was just to begin as her own emaciated hand clamped onto bone. Before her blue orbs could track anything, she was whisked away into the dark world, a land she believes even to this day was in her own mind. It was devoid of almost all light, gigantic, breathless creatures slinking their way throughout the darkness, their shapes unable to be made out by the terrified child. The skeletal hand still held firmly to hers, its scrawny body bending down at a strange angle, and it whispered to her from behind it's cloaked visage.

        "To live is to believe."

        And as swiftly as he came, he was gone, leaving the child alone in the darkness. Mei had squeezed her hands tightly before she found that the skeletal being had left her with an interesting lantern. Flicking it on quickly, seemingly not needing a wick or outer light source, the girl had wished she hadn't have bothered. Before her was a monstrous being, its flesh melting off its face and all she saw was charred bone underneath. She flailed and screamed, churning backwards, but her movements were soon stopped as her body collided into another being with a thunk. Mei didn't wish to turn her eyes up to it, but she slowly did so as if her body was moving on its own, and right as her mind comprehended what was standing there, a hand clamped over her mouth to keep her from screaming bloody murder. Was this the way she was going to die? To be devoured by these monstrosities?

        Her answer never came as just as swiftly as they saw her, they forgot about her, the beings moving away slowly. Mei could not watch them leave completely, her light source only surrounding herself, but she heard them slinking away with the clattering of their armor or the swishing of their dangling flesh. It was madness she found herself in, and it was madness that consumed her as she walked for many days. Eventually the girl clung to her head, dropping the lantern to the ground, as the sights drove her to that breaking point. She cowered in fear upon the ground for what felt like years, her flesh rising in gooseflesh as a random being would come to her and look at her as if she were in trouble. Did these things care for her, Mei did not know for she would clamp her hands around herself and rock back and forth whenever it happened. She was in hell, these were demons, and she was never going home again.

        After many possible years of this, Mei had a stray thought as she always did in her episode. She wasn't crazy, she kept repeating over and over again in her mind and on her tongue. She wasn't crazy, she wasn't crazy, she wasn't crazy... Suddenly, as if a fog had cleared in her mind, the girl stopped her rocking. She blinked, looking around as she laid upon the ground still, and she raised slowly to a sitting position. Mei's blue orbs looked down to her hands, the appendages ceasing their shaking, and she cocked her head as she looked to the lantern. She wasn't... crazy.

        It took another few centuries, in this world anyways, for Mei to train herself in that living hell, the lesser abominations working as good foughter for the only skill she had at the time that was offensive, and soon she came upon her first being. Her will was strong, it exuded about her in waves, and the skeletal beast bowed down to her in submission easily. This is how she continued to contract the others, their heads bowing to her will, and for a time her life was finally grand. Without eating or drinking a thing, the girl's body became that of a woman's, no longer the emaciated bag of bones, but now of flesh and blood which ran strong through her veins. She would survive, she believed she would. She trained with those beings in that dark world, her entire interaction for so long being just those constructs, and eventually she challenged the larger ones for dominance. She wasn't happy with the lesser ones, her time there still unspent until that skeletal being came back for her, and thus she sacrificed her life to take what was rightfully hers.

        Not much is known of how she took command of the monstrosities, especially the Council that seemed to reign dominion over that particular part of the dark world, but soon she found herself face to face with the cloaked skeleton of a person. It offered her its hand again, and as she gripped it tightly she was soon whisked away back to the very same church that she almost died in. The girl opened her eyes, finding it hard to do so for some reason, before trying to move her head.

        Just as soon as she opened her eyes from her dream... she was no more.



        Chapter 2 : Waking up in the Society "We all wind up in a tiny pine box..."

        We all wind up in a tiny pine box, or at least Mei would have if she hadn't died of starvation long ago. She opened her eyes again, Mei found herself in the land of spirits and the dead. A ticket was pushed into her hand and she was sent on her way, wherever that lead her anyways. There was no extra care for her after they saw she was that of a child, and she wandered further than any of that age should have.

        It wasn't long until Mei found herself in the 76th Rukon District. Thievery, assault, and murder were all here and flourishing and the girl found herself right in the middle of it all. Not much is known of how she survived, and Mei isn't in the business of relenting her past to anyone, but soon the girl found herself at the Academy. She worked hard, did her duty without many episodes, and soon she found herself in the barracks of the second court guard squad. She grew from there- not her size, mind you- and before it was far into her life she made lieutenant after many strides and then, finally, captain. Regardless of her playful attitude, Mei was always one for justice and a sense of duty and countless other captains saw the same; and though she hated the 11th squad for not taking her in, she lived with it under the tutelage of the 2nd.



        Chapter 3 : Why is everyone so upset? "-but she does know it won't end without bloodshed-"

        Soon after she was made captain the war broke out among soul reapers and even with the loyalist's force, the head captain was murdered. She does not know what her fellow captains wish to do about the their brothers in arms, or about the quincy supporters, but she does know it won't end without bloodshed for any side, a small fact the girl does not wish to see. In truth the little girl was coerced rather easily by the known traitors to the cause, indoctrinating her into their forces by manipulating her into thinking it was the right thing to do. Because of this she doesn't blame either party, but at the same time she knows what her duty is, regardless of how wrong, and what she'll be forced to do in the end. Regardless of that, she is sure the ones that are right will win in the end.

        Zanpakuto's Name :: Olfhildr (Wolf of Battle) and Eira (Mercy)

        Zanpakuto Sealed Description :: While Mei does not use a physical sword in Shikai or Bankai, her spirits are thus sealed inside of a daisho zanpakuto set when sealed. The katana is no different in appearance to most others, though just underneath the guard is the kanji for torture. The katana's tassel connects to small pieces of shredded white fur. The wakizashi looks exactly like the katana in tsuba, handle, and sheath though its tassel is red and winds around the uppermost hilt of the handle. The kanji inscribed into the sheath is shown to be mercy.

        Zanpakuto Spirits :: Olfhildr and Eira are twins in their own right. They have pale skin that sets contrast to their glowing blue eyes, though Echo can only see Eira's seeing as her sister's is always covered by a metal horned plate. Both girls wear somewhat matching uniforms, the difference either being strips of clothing or small accessories, and blue hues of color are surrounded by strange black metal. This, of course, are the twins' humanistic states. The other are what the spirits truly appear to be: that of large foxes. Eira's form has two pairs of ears and her fur is as white as snow. Olfhildr's, on the other hand, has seven tails and is far larger than her twin. Her eyes seem to glow a lighter shade of blue, almost as pure as lightning, and they spark every so often if angered.

        Zanpakuto's Personality :: The spirits of Mei's zanpakuto are quite different in their own rights, some saying they are only twins in the physical sense. Eira, while calm and calculative, chipper and homey, Olfhildr is the complete opposite. The spirit is sadistic, hurtful, and rash and it is usually her sister that must calm any distasteful words she says down.

        Zanpakuto Relationship :: Stable and they all have a bond that cannot be broken.

        Shikai Release Phrase :: "My Zodiac, I beckon thee..."

        Shikai Appearance :: Mei's beautiful orange locks become slightly shorter while also losing its strawberry tint. It lightens drastically, turning into a blondish white hue, while streamline ears grow at the sides of her head. Because she usually covers her body with a parasol, and thus most of her face sometimes, the personification of that in shikai is that of a cracked theatre mask being created. Her attire is more free and asymmetrical, falling about her left upper arm while her right sleeve is fixed upon her shoulder. Her attire lightens to white and pink trimmings, gold bands marking her wrists, arms, and neck and there are many ruffles, that look like feathers, that cascade out of the sleeves of the kimono. Her swords disappear, appearing to become blue energy that is returned to the ether, though the zanpakutos have changed form to that of her mask and of her circular pendant that hangs in her hair.

        Shikai Abilities ::

        Rules and Limitations:
        The constructs have a variety of different abilities while also having a mixture between two of the main acts of combat such as:
        Enhanced speed and strength
        Enhanced magical potential and speed
        Enhanced speed and durability
        Enhanced durability and strength
        Enhanced dexterity and durability
        Enhanced strength and dexterity
        They can only have one of the two main acts of combat listed, or any one of those interchanged within those listed, which is also what makes the constructs so versatile. They may look the same, but they can have a set different number of abilities; especially for the number one used construct of Mei fancies using. However, they can only have one set main acts of combat when being summoned no matter what. They cannot randomly choose whilst in combat to change their set main attributes. They can only change this set attribute by being summoned. So if they are completely useless in a fight, Mei must go along with it and stave off the attacker for as long as possible even though an attribute of dexterity and strength would be better than what a construct currently would have like strength and speed.
        Seeing as these constructs have no fear or emotions of their own they will leap headfirst into fire and will not care about their own safety. It takes immense elemental pressure to destroy them completely, or to destroy a part of them that will force them to be dismissed. Where as, say the Dragon is more durable and harder to destroy than the Hare, the Kitsune is a healthy medium between the two which is why it is the predominant one summoned.

        » Limitations:
        -Mei must have the will to garner the constructs respect, or they will turn on her instantly
        -It takes at least two posts to bring out another construct after the first has been destroyed or dismissed from combat
        -Half of Mei's mind has to be trained on her construct at all times, or they will lose control and begin attacking anyone around including Kuro and allies (This is extremely prominent as whenever Mei is harmed, half of her mind shuts down and she becomes solely bent on herself being harmed.)
        -Can only use at least two constructs per fight if they were destroyed or dismissed. Any more and Mei is at risk of dying from expanding her reiatsu to its limits
        -If too much damage is taken to the body, the construct will either turn on it's master or it will vanish
        -Depending on the construct, while it takes great pressure to destroy them via an element, when an element is used against them and it's the specific one that is needed to destroy them, it works much like swatting a fly.
        -Depending on the construct, while it takes great pressure to kill them via physical attacks, when a physical attack is used against them when Mei's body is weakened, it works much like swatting a fly.

        Mei can only summon two of them during one battle, and it is only at two different times during the fight as they cannot both be summoned at once. Any more and she will die from over taxing her body and reiatsu. It takes two posts after one construct is destroyed/dismissed to bring out the second. Even if a construct is dismissed, it still follows the rule of only two summons per fight. (This does not extend to outside of combat situations.) There is no length of feet the constructs cannot be summoned at as long as the user can see the area, making them usual long ranged combatants, but they still exhibit exuberant ability in close and mid-ranged fights. Depending on the construct, if they slot into a main attribute that gives them enhanced speed, they can break the sound barrier while enhanced strength is enough to cause minor shockwaves rippling around the focal point of the attack. Those who slot into magical prowess, seeing as it's the strongest of abilities, would not be bolstered at all. Depending on the construct, their magical prowess is already higher than a normal being, therefore magical prowess does not stack. When it comes to durability, an ordinary weapon would have a hard time trying to harm a construct, depending on which construct it is. The Dragon, while already having increased durability naturally, would become very hard to destroy unless with an element when the main attribute of enhancement is chosen. (If this enhancement is chosen, it thus will expend Mei's reiatsu to its limits faster than if it simply used its natural durability.) Hand to hand combat, while known by most the constructs, is stacked when dexterity is chosen, unlocking higher combat awareness while also nimble ability though it is not as powerful as Shunko. They will be able to assess hand to hand combat more effectively and react accordingly- a level of heightened aptitude is what this is.



        "Bone of the Kitsune": The being constructed of this summoning is the favorite and thus has the main usage. A towering figure of the supposed bones of a skeletal kitsune emerges from Mei's primary mask carrying two katanas hovering at its side. The constructs hair and tail can be seen, along with the darkness chi surrounding certain joints and creating its two sided scarf. This construct has the choice between five of the main attributes though it usually only uses enhanced speed and strength when it is summoned. This construct is naturally strong, opting to use its speed to get close to a target before its strength skewers them in two. Without its enhanced strength, it is still able to destroy small boulders and lop many trees down with one swing while being able to also take off at a sprint and break the sound barrier- mach 1. With enhanced speed, this construct can reach up to mach 2 while enhanced strength will bolster its attack to the equivalence of destroying a skyscraper with one swing. (Basically the sword equivalent to what Hakuda masters can do.)
        Highly resistant to physical and elemental attack. Not indestructible, highly resilient. A higher leveled captain is able to destroy this construct with five attacks while other captains are able to destroy it with 10.
        Constant/lasts until it is destroyed or Mei can no longer physically call upon it due to exhaustion or injury.

        "Flesh of the Hare": This construct takes on a more lively appearance. A towering bipedal hare, strangely mixed with the face of a bird, is the secondary usage of Mei. It is mostly used for its magical prowess and can choose between three other main attributes of combat. This Hare is called into battle after the Kitsune has failed, cleaning up any damage to Mei that it can before punishing the battlefield with darkness magic. The effects of its magic include: Light absorption, in a span of 10 feet, to make it harder to see for both forces for two posts
        Shadow camouflage/cloaking of itself and Kuro so that their spiritual pressure is harder to detect for one post
        Dark Tentacles/Chains that can burst forth from Hare's hand, up to 10 feet, and wrap around the target, immobilizing them for one post
        Darkness Mist that stretches up to 15 feet and is used if Light Absorption fails- same effect
        Dark constructs such as weapons or allies that are knives, swords, or humanistic shadows that can be destroyed with one swing of a zanpakuto and has 60% of Hare's physical strength
        Terror, pain, and desensitization inducement which can only affect the enemy with slight shivers and dread every 2 posts before the 6th post has a chance of making them drop their swords and fleeing
        Healing which can actually cause more damage to Mei if used on a weakened state and two healing posts will result in Hare disappearing; of course Hare cannot heal a wound completely depending on the severity and it takes deep lacerations to the bone two posts to heal while it takes small cuts one post.
        Weakness is direct Fire attacks to its torso and limbs. It is also weak to physical attacks. A higher leveled captain is able to destroy this construct with one hit while other captains are able to destroy it with 5.
        Constant/lasts until it is destroyed or Mei can no longer physically call upon it due to exhaustion or injury. Magic potential weakens Mei with each spell cast, so it is highly recommended for small usages as the girl is only average in Kido and thus is winded by it more so.


        "Horn of the Dragon": The third construct in Shikai Mei can create, the being looks like a slender serpent with glistening scales and two large red eyes. It's length is impressive, truly being deemed a dragon, and as it is the third most used, it can only choose between two main attributes of combat. Speed and durability is this serpents main usage, as well as its durability to most attacks and its strength. It can curl around Mei, acting much like a shield, and can snap at victims without a moment's notice. It can shoot dark spheres from its mouth as well, making it a long ranged and short ranged fighter and defense, and will reign down destruction before Mei ever has to get close. Whereas this construct rarely has much usage, it is also known to be a absolute defense being. The dark spheres it can create are no more in size than a basketball and they can make small craters if hitting the ground. They can shoot up to 35 feet away, counting the length the serpent is itself. (So basically 15 feet away from itself.)
        Highly resistant to physical attack. Not indestructible, highly resilient.
        Weakness is direct ice to freeze the constructs scaley skin. Must be copious amounts of it, or the construct will just break free. Extreme situations dictate all 20 feet must be encased for easy deconstruction. Dragon will still move and have its movement speed and strength even after bits of it was destroyed. Can be destroyed by ice then shattering. A higher leveled captain is able to destroy this construct with seven hits while other captains are able to destroy it with 14.

        Constant/lasts until it is destroyed or Mei can no longer physically call upon it due to exhaustion or injury.

        "Heart of the Lesser Council": Mei can call forth five members of the Council of Nobility to her side whilst in dire straights- can only be activated after 10 posts in Shikai. Caster, Rider, Saber, Lancer, Berserker named thus by Mei all have special abilities to their persons:
        Caster seems to wield fox fire in its instruments, causing blinding fire attack upon the field while also keeping up with any defensive attack thrown to its allies- though with more magical prowess, it weakens Mei more and causes the imminent death to accelerate. It seems to have any and all fire inducement abilities while also keeping up with darkness elements. One of its main abilities is to call down his instruments into and 360 degree circle around a target before causing a localized blast inside of the area. The explosion is so powerful it can destroy large boulders.
        The nimble Rider floats about the field, raining down telekinetically controlled daggers, swords, and other miscellaneous objects onto the victims. The weapons seem to burn with white hot flames that cannot be quelled by water or earth and Rider seems to also have telekinetically induced abilities, making him able to move inanimate objects around.
        Saber, much like Kitsune, speeds into combat and demolishes the battlefield with quick strikes and easy dodging. Its wings and armor are so hardened that physical attacks seem to brush off of it. Though another captain's level shikai can pierce the construct.
        Lancer creates lurid red lances which he throws into the fray or goes into hand to hand combat. Lancer's spears multiply every time they are thrown, and the one that is sailing in the sky will multiply mid-flight before infusing themselves with fire chi. It can only go up to five lances thrown.
        Berserker, much like Saber, lunges into the fray with its fists and feet. It is the one that protects the magic users, and its speed is heightened than what you'd think. All seem to have some type of magical prowess, which hinders Mei, and all besides Rider and Caster have heavy, yet lightweight, armor that seems to brush off physical and elemental attacks.
        Weakness is the longer this ability is active, the closer Mei comes to death. By 5 posts, Mei loses the ability to hear, see, and feel much of anything and as the ability continues in posts, it soon makes her lose all functions before death. Only two constructs can attack at once and Mei herself cannot move for the duration of the ability.
        {Constant/lasts until it is destroyed or Mei can no longer physically call upon it due to death. Cooldown depends on post dismissal. Anywhere between one day to a week.}



        Shikai Stability :: Perfectly stable and mastered.

        Bankai Release Phrase :: "Gods Weep Mercy and Angels Cry War"

        Bankai Appearance :: Strangely enough, Mei's bankai appearance looks almost identical to her Shunko release. Whether that is because of her spirit resonating with her hard work to learn such an ability or not, it does not stop her drastic change from shikai to this form. She dawns an enclosed black mask with fox ears made of pure reiatsu and her hair and tail turn back to their natural hue. She wears a white scarf, usually blue, that falls behind her back in, what looks like, blue arcing lightning. Her body is enclosed in black armor, gauntlets that have claws protruding from the fingertips, and garters that connect to the leg guards. Blue lightning explodes from numerous areas on her person, much like it does in Shunko regardless if it is not lightning, and the eye sockets of her mask burn the same color. There is no discernable item on her person that others have claimed to be her zanpakutos.

        Bankai Abilities ::

        Rules and Limitations:
        Every construct below has inherited magical prowess and is not required to choose it between a main attribute of combat. It thus unlocks three main attributes of combat, along with less exhaustion rates for the master. To contract these, Mei had to defeat each of them in combat in the dark world, and they cannot turn on her like the normal constructs. She can now summon two of them at a time.



        Mannequin of Ire: The pawn of the movable chess board, the Mannequin was the first being beaten by Mei. It is much like the Kitsune in its fighting style, however exactly like the rest of the powerful constructs invoked here, this being has inherited control over magical prowess no matter which main attribute it chooses. With each second out (One Post) the Mannequin will invoke the victim to experience strange anger-filled impulses. The target will have to fight both physical and mental attacks and just the air surrounding the Mannequin will have a chance to cause the victim to become more and more heated which thus causes them to lose focus of the battle and be easily picked off. (Magical prowess includes anger inducement, described above, and fire attacks that are spheres no more than a basketball that can stretch up to 15 feet away; they leave larger craters in the ground if struck.)
        Highly resistant to physical attack. Not indestructible, highly resilient.
        Weakness to direct earth and water elemental attacks. These attacks don't do near as much damage as it would to the normal constructs. A higher leveled captain is able to destroy this construct with eight hits while other captains are able to destroy it with 15.

        Constant- five post limit/lasts until it is destroyed or Mei can no longer physically call upon it due to exhaustion or injury. Magic potential takes longer to weaken Mei with each spell cast.


        The Hare of Madness:
        The bishop of this chest board and the second construct Kuro had the pleasure of defeating, the Hare can cause devastating damage via its wide arms and hands while also delving into a target's mind. Through this, the Hare acts much like the Mannequin as the very air around it is a lurid red aura of madness. Any who find themselves unlucky enough to fall prey to the aura is subsequently doomed to relive their worst nightmares, as if they are passing right in front of their eyes, with a lull every one post. Any and all will have a chance to have their fears twisted against them before they are driven mad by horrid images that pass throughout their mind eye. Victims have to be wary for the Hare can still move and act without warning, much of its movements being sporadic, chaotic, and devastating. (Magical prowess includes terror inducement which can only affect the enemy with mind lulls, that leave the victim still able to comprehend and fight in the real world as images pass before their eyes of their torment, every two posts before the fifth post has a chance of making them go insane for five posts
        Weapon creation which is basically a chainsaw- like sword for physical damage
        Wind and lightning attacks that can tear up the ground and leave small craters up to 15 feet away.)
        Weakness to direct light elemental attacks. These attacks don't do near as much damage as it would to the normal constructs. A higher leveled captain is able to destroy this construct with eight hits while other captains are able to destroy it with 15.
        Constant- five post limit/lasts until it is destroyed or Mei can no longer physically call upon it due to exhaustion or injury. Magic potential takes longer to weaken Mei with each spell cast.


        The Council of Nobility:
        The Queen of the board, the Council is the most devastating constructs known to Mei as they are the dark world's chieftains. They are summoned at the beginning of Bankai in a 360 degree radius around the target and user that spans 300 yards around. Their massive swords pierce the ground, or air, and their statuesque bodies stand stiffened in place. They seem to not do anything for the duration of Bankai, allowing anyone just time to escape or enter the area of their circle, until the very last few seconds (last post) of their summoning. When the last posts hits, and the target is still alive and they have destroyed the other two constructs summoned, the stored energy between all 11 members of the Council will suddenly fill the area in a 360 degree dome. Every affliction from the previous constructs are released into this now sealed dome, as well as any physical or magical attack the other constructs can achieve, and any who are trapped inside will surely meet death.
        3 posts to escape for the mesh force field will be erected on the fourth and fifth posts. Can only be achieved if other constructs fail. They will disappear without doing anything if constructs stay alive in the 5 post limit. While a being can escape by running through the crevice of bodies before the fourth post, if they are thrown out by physical force they will bounce back from a force field. Has no known weakness as it cannot be aborted by outside sources.
        Constant- five post limit/lasts until Mei can no longer physically call upon it due to exhaustion or injury. If the Council does achieve its attack, Mei dies along with her victim.

If the user of the spell is Captain level, the barrier will last longer than if a Lieutenant or Seated Member were to utilize it.

        Description: Tsuriboshi is primarily used to catch. The spell creates a ball of blue energy that fires out six "ropes" from its center.         Description: The user flings their hand, summoning forth a surge of fire that splits into a dozen wasp-like projectiles that detonate, causing explosions large enough to engulf a person.

        Incantation: "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south!"
        Description: The user, generating high-temperature flames, discharges it from both hands or the finger, in the form of an orb (small, medium, or large depending on the power used. The destructive power released by the blast can vary between a simple explosion to a pillar of energy. In both instances, the spell causes concussive as well as burn damage.


        Spell Name: Ōkasen (黄火閃, Yellow Fire Flash)

        Description: The practitioner, raising their Zanpakutō horizontally in front of them, generates a yellow orb which widens itself along the length of their sword. Once it is fully charged, it fires outward as a horizontal blast, in a wide arc of yellow energy, at the target. This technique can be launched from the hand instead of a Zanpakutō, albeit producing a shorter arc.


        Spell Name: Sōkatsui (蒼火墜, Blue Fire, Crash Down)

        Incantation: "Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws."
        Description: The practitioner, aiming the palm of their hand at the target, generates a torrent of blue spiritual energy and fires it at their target. The energy moves like a direct blast or a large wave of energy, depending on the amount of power placed into it.

        Zanjutsu :: Average

        (Average though she has the physical strength to pull off many bisections and swift cuts, she's rather clumsy with a real sword. This is why she chooses to use a parasol in its place, making it an extension of her hands and thus her combat efficiency with it. The parasol is blunt, and therefore can only cause crushing or blunt damage. So basically it's kind of like a steel baseball bat.)


        Hakuda :: Master

        Isshin Handstand Dash (一心・サカダチダッシュ, Isshin Sakadachi Dasshu): Mei stands on her hands and then uses her arms to move forward at a high speed. It can be used while going up a hill as proof of a high level of stamina for the practitioner.


        Tesshō (鉄掌, Iron Palm): An open palm strike which can effortlessly shatter a Hollow's head with a single strike.


        Tsukiyubi (撞指, Thrust Fingers): Mei extends the index and middle fingers of one hand in unison while she is in contact with an opponent, who is sent flying several meters away.


        Taketonbo (竹蜻蛉, Bamboo Dragonfly): Holding their hand out to the side, Mei performs a simple but effective throw, which violently flips her victim upside down. The victim lands heavily on their back, which knocks the wind out of them. Mei bisects an opponent from the jaw down the length of the body with a single sword strike, or in this case a hand strike.


        Takigoi (滝鯉, Waterfall Carp): Mei utilizes this technique to create an opening in her opponents defense. When the target kicks out, Mei blocks the attack with her forearm. When the foe moves to kick her with their other foot, she grabs the blocked foot with her free hand while simultaneously blocking the second attack with her legs. Mei subsequently traps the opponent's second foot between her legs. With both legs trapped, the target is now open to attack and Mei takes advantage of the situation to attack with her free hand.


        Shunkō (瞬閧, Flash War Cry): While the original shunko has been taught with using wind or lightning in conjunction with hado and bakudo, Mei takes this a step further by combining the elements of degenerate gas and heat, or fire. Not to be confused with the physical representation of lightning, when the two elements are combined the flames become so hot, even hotter than lightning and thus the surface of the sun, these tendrils of flame are turned to white and become just as uncharacteristic as lightning. The strains that escape from Mei's body are sporadic in their first release, causing damage to the ground surrounding her and allies that venture too close. This increases the original destructive power of Shunko while adding in even more devastating hand to hand combat abilities when this is activated. Just like in a regular Shunko release, Mei is able to fire off kido based attacks that cause explosions upon contact with anything. By showing off, Mei can show the compressed kido at her back in the form of angel's wings. Because of her mastery over Shunko, Mei can stay in this ability for 6 posts with a 5 post cooldown.

        While the first form of Shunko, and the most used, is more than destructive enough, Mei can coalesce this energy into denser spheres that forms around her body. These spheres hold 50% of Mei's Shunko ability, and can fire at the opponent to engulf them in the supercharged fire-lightning. It can only last two posts, however, before it has to recharge for another 3. 8 posts of combat must go by before she can activate this level of her Shunko, as it gives her further advances in combat such as strength, speed, and destructive power, and can only be activated once in Shikai.

        The third, and last form, of Mei's Shunko turns into her a feral beast. Used only in Bankai, and thus making the girl closer to her Zanpakuto twins, this ability takes on the characteristics of her more fickle and sadistic twin. A plated horned mask made of gas and heat crosses over her eyes, almost identical to her spirit's mask, and her arms and legs are wrapped in the elements of her Shunko. She sprouts a fire-lightning fluffy tail, looking as that of a fox, and the element is now more so coalesced around her appendages. In this form, which Mei refuses to use unless in dire straits, she can move faster than the speed of light, achieving at least mach 3 but she sacrifices simple cognitive functions as if she has turned feral. Therefore, while she could attack an enemy at one moment, she will also turn on her allies in another, and even decide not to fight at all unless provoked. Because of Mei's refusal to give up control, this form can only be used close to death as a last ditch effort of survival. If she does use this ability, it can only be activated after 5 posts in Bankai and can only last for 5 posts. (Seeing as her Bankai's constructs only last for 5 posts, this is her last ditch effort.) The cooldown is 10 posts.


        Super Harisen Slipper (スーパーハリセンスリッパ, Sūpā Harisen Surippa): Mei slaps the target with a slipper. The attack is simple but has enough force to knock Shinji Hirako flying through a wall and one of Hachigen Ushōda's barriers.


        Panty-Flash Tornado (パンチラトルネード, Panchira Torunēdo): Mei performs an upside-down rotating straddle split, allowing her to deliver multiple kick attacks to a nearby opponent.


        Gatling Mad-Stomping (地団駄 (ガトリング), Gatoringu Jidanda): Mei performs multiple foot stomps on the target's face. The technique is powerful enough to send Ichigo Kurosaki flying and completely shatter his Hollow mask.


        Sandbag Beat (サンドバッグ・ビート, Sandobaggu Bīto): Mei performs multiple extremely fast strikes, causing aggravated damage to a target. The technique is powerful enough to shatter a Menos Grande's mask and utterly destroy its body.


        Kazaguruma (風車, Windmill): Throwing her body up into the air, Mei makes a shearing movement with her legs, allowing her to move one leg in front of the other, before performing a devastating kick which sends the target flying away with tremendous force.


        Kagamibiraki (鏡開, Mirror Opening): After puncturing her target with the tips of her fingers, Mei rips her opponent in half through sheer physical strength.


        Mashiro Kick (白キック, Mashiro Kikku): Mei aims a kick at her opponent. They she follows this up with multiple immediate kicks to multiple targets. A single kick is strong enough to shatter the mask of a Gillian-class Menos Grande.


        Mashiro Super Kick (白スーパーキック, Mashiro Sūpā Kikku): Mei crouches down in preparation and then unleashes a powerful kick upwards. The attack is potent enough to instantly kill the giant Hollow creature Hooleer.


        Mashiro Drop Kick (白ドロップキック, Mashiro Doroppu Kikku): From above the target, Mei drops down with both feet, hitting her opponent with enough force to create a large crater when they hit the ground. It hits the target with enough force to nullify a Cero.


        Ikkotsu (一骨, Single Bone): A powerful punch which can destroy much of the target's abdomen, send them flying along a city street, and throw them through a building.


        Sōkotsu (双骨, Double Bone): A powerful, two-fisted punch used which can totally destroy an opponent in one blow.


        Chōhigezutsuki (超ヒゲ頭突き, Super Stubble Headbutt): A headbutt attack with enough force to send an opponent flying backward a considerable distance.


        Oni Dekopin (鬼デコピン, Oni Headpoke): Pulling a finger back against her thumb, Mei flicks it at an opponent. The blow carries enough physical force to send the opponent flying a considerable distance away and crashing through multiple physical constructs.


        Raiōken (雷王拳, Thunder King Fist): Mei performs a series of ultra-high-speed punches with both arms. When performing this technique while wearing anti-Hierro armor, Yoruichi Shihōin severely cracked Sōsuke Aizen's first form and destroyed the surrounding portion of the fake Karakura Town in the process.





        Hohō :: Master


        Speed Clones: Mei creates at least 15 clones of herself at once using Shunpo. While they are indistinguishable from her true self and mimic her movements, the clones do not last long.


        Senka (閃花, Flash Blossom): Moving behind the opponent, Mei attacks and seals their Saketsu (鎖結, Chain Binding) and Hakusui (魄睡, Soul Sleep) in two rapid attacks. A victim may not be able to tell whether they were attacked from the front or the back because of the technique's speed, and even an outside observer may find it impossible to tell what the movements are.


        Utsusemi (空蝉, Cast-Off Cicada Shell): Gwen moves at great speed to avoid an attack, leaving an afterimage which can appear to have taken damage.

        Other :: There are metal bands that mark Mei right wrist, neck, and left ankle that are specially crafted to hone and control her spiritual pressure, helping her keep her strength in check so that she may not inadvertently kill anyone

        People claim she was actually supposed to be indoctrinated into squad 11 due to her immense combat efficiency and spiritual pressure, but because of her slight elemental zanpakuto, she was declined.

        She always holds a parasol with densely packed reiatsu, making it extremely hard to cut, and sometimes Mei uses it as a weapon of sorts.

        The power behind her small appendages are devastating. She's trained in Wing Chun, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, and Lausatök, Hryggspenna, and Brokartök styles of Glima.

        Just as Kenpachi is considered the most powerful physical combatant in the Society with a sword, some consider Mei the fastest Shinigami currently alive along with exceptional worth of her hand to hand combat skills.
