Every group needs a chat thread! So here it is :3
I hope everyone had a great holiday! Mine was ridiculously busy, but the kids had a great day and we did too. My mom got me a jungle themed adult coloring book and my sister got me an awesome Littman stethoscope. I shouldn't run out of handmade chapstick or soap any time soon, thanks to Mike. They smell awesome

That sounds awesome! smile I spent the entire holiday in my pajamas, lol. It was a good day. I got a whole bunch of scented candles, and they all smell really good. One smells like cinnamon and it's amazing.
Also today I brought in some chocolate for my coworkers, because it's a wonder they've put up with me this long. I think they liked it because the box was gone by the time I went on my lunch break, lol.

I hung out at a friend's house and tried to avoid my family. I'm not much of a Christmas person.
In other news, I got to deal with a stroke patient today. Only, I didn't realize this until the paramedics decided to do a stroke test, found out he was stroking out, and I started silently freaking out because I didn't catch that and felt like an idiot.

I've had a few instances like that at work. The duh moments. How do you perform a stroke test? Is it checking pupil response and such?

Aakosir I've had a few instances like that at work. The duh moments. How do you perform a stroke test? Is it checking pupil response and such? You basically test their motor function on both sides. Have them hold both arms in front of them for x amount of time, say a phrase, push down on your hands with their feet like a gas pedal. If they're having a stroke one side of their body won't be able to do the tasks asked if them.
