Minor Civilians

Do you want to start rping in-shop without a character? Just can't wait?

You can apply as a minor civilian. You can also create and rp civilians if you have accepted shop characters as well - they do not count towards the character limit. Once their profile is accepted, they can rp with all the regular drow, taking part in everyday life in Yoch Vier. There are a few things you can't do with a minor civilian.

  • Artwork - as a civilian, you must suffer the slings and arrows of having to remain artless.
  • Anatomy - you're a regular civilian drow. Your body and all aspects related to it are forever, eternally, entirely common.
  • Aspects - civilians do not have these. You're just a regular drow joe, and will never amass the kind of fame, fortune and wealth as Lloth's lucky chosen children.
  • EXP - as a civilian, you are perma-locked at the adult stage. As such, you don't need to worry about pesky things like growing older, or wiser.
  • Houses - while you can join a house as a manual labourer, or craftsman, or lizard-wrangler, you cannot rise to any position of power within a house, or start your own.
  • Adventures - civilians cannot take part in these. The Underdark is dangerous, and you won't last five minutes outside the safety of civilization!
  • Breeding - all your kids are, alas, doomed to be regular civilian characters just like you. You can't get official shop babies from a civilian.

Playing a minor civilian in shop events will allow you to get player exp, instead of any event-related bonus exp normal characters would get. Player exp is explained here. It also allows you to be eligible for any characters given out as activity rewards at the end of the events.
