Forward:
I am making this topic in response to various personal and statistic factors, and most of all, in hopes that this topic makes a beneficial movement towards activity in this guild.
I hope that through making this thread that not only will Team Bara become a unique guild among many that will hopefully attract people, but more importantly, to encourage our members who are of course, the most important thing about this guild to become inspired and create ideas, but more importantly go through with them.

Finally, that you who is reading this have the power to make change, and Team Bara has the funds to renovate the guild as you see fit.

The Situation
I'll begin with the statement that our leader, Taco has been inactive since October of last year. While I'm not sure if he is going to come back or not, what is important now is that we need work around this. While my solution is rather audacious and vague in many ways, I believe that it is worth a try, to say the least.

A Solution
My solution is for this guild to completely abolish the concept of power and transfer fully, the structure, ideas and events to those of the members. Yes, that's right, I propose a total revolution for this guild!

Theory
So what does revolution in Team Bara mean? I'll begin by saying that Team Bara will not be a completely anarchist guild, because that would get us in trouble by the Gaia staff real quick. Given the thorny nature of bara in a PG-13 site, this means that there will have to be some form of moderation, unfortunately.
Now obviously in a communist guild, we cannot have someone's username sitting on top, so I propose we put our guild account as leader. Hopefully we don't have to ever use it for this purpose, but should someone post 18+ or harmful/hateful content, this account will be there to administer the proper regulations according to Gaiaonline. Rest assured that this account will be used for only that and only the most trusted members will have access to it to prevent guild sabotage.
This leads me to the biggest change I propose, and that is to demote all admin team, myself and Taco included to Members while having our mascot as Captain. I also want to publicize the mod forum and make it a symposium to discuss future changes to this guild, but that sort of goes without saying.

I think having eight million or whatever admin is sort of silly, given the nature of how slow this guild currently is, and it sort of induces a "why is everyone else mods but me?" notion to new joiners.

Your Role
This is the most important part of this thread, as it gives you all the power. Without mods to hold the thread up, the duty falls upon not just your shoulders, but our shoulders. Presently, given Gaia's silly antics with money, we currently have all the cash in the world to renovate our guild. Therefore, should you have an idea, whether it be in terms of the structure of the guild, or if you want to propose an event, it falls totally on your duty as a member to go through with it.

New Gaia and Team Bara
So the economy in Gaia is effed, nothing makes sense and everything is more expensive than my plane ticket to Shanghai this Spring. Emerging out of this, because Gold is now irrelevant, we're going to have to motivate people otherwise.
I propose we move move away from the unstable, capitalistic Gaia currency and reward people through free commissions, if someone is generous enough to give away essentially free artwork, and perhaps other things that you guys can think of.
I also think that it would be cool to mimic Gaia's old history and establish a storyline based on user submitted material, centred around an RP subforum, which would bring forth events and likewise establish NPCs. I might not be able to contribute to much, being a single member, but as a whole, I can see this being a very interesting concept if we manage to work together.

Lastly, while the present situation is currently bleak, if we join as one force to improve, then I know that this guild will rise again and become one of the liveliest Bara Guilds out there!

On a personal level, this movement away from power on my part is brought upon by a life decision I recently made. While I have been considering it for awhile, as of this year, I have made the decision to officially join the Buddhist community and subsequently ordain myself as a monk following my convocation next year!
Naturally in following the Four Noble Truths, Eightfold Path, yadda yadda, I need to train myself to not just become a more generous person, but also train for celibacy. I say this with full confidence that having a celibate monk as vice captain of Team Bara is kind of, if not fully silly.

I WILL remain a member of Team Bara however, it's part of my past and a very important thing I identify with. While I make my oath to the Buddhist community, many things will remain forever with me, and I understand fully, the amount of ridicule and oppression the LGBT community face daily. It would be hypocritical of me to turn my back to those in need while I search for my own enlightenment.
Thus while I might not be able to contribute much in terms of actual bara material, I want to be around to offer emotional support to those who need it, and tend to the guild and ensure it becomes the unique place that I envisioned it to be.

So if anyone needs anything, even just someone to talk to, my line is always open, feel free to send me a PM and I will get back to you. I check my Gaia every day, and I keep everything anyone says to me confidential.

tl;dr: I nominate myself for the guillotine, and you're all important, amazing people with a lot of ideas to make a guild shine.
