Riyel could only watch her, his own eyes somewhat wary as to what her reaction and response would be. Perhaps he deserved worse than what he was getting right now, but the stare that she was giving him would rival one of Nona's as well. That thought made him stop and think for a moment, almost smiling as he knelt down in front of her at just the idea of it. "One moment..." His hands gently touched her feet, his hands surprisingly cool to the touch considering the hot weather as he muttered a single word. "Cure."

The magic was quick and strong, quickly enveloping her wounds and healing them on the spot, the tissue coming together and almost sewing together. Looking at his handiwork, he nodded in confirmation as he stood once more, reaching out a hand for her to grab in order to quickly stand. "The squads are training on their own now...want to grab something to eat? There's a little spot I like not far from here, my treat." He had no idea what he was doing right now, but his stomach was growling and he could imagine that after her own workout, Koyuki would probably want to grab something to eat. "It's more seafood based...but then again, that's almost everything here."

Riyel looked at the woman before him and relented with a small smile, the normal statue esque man seeming to crack a little bit in front of her. Hopefully I can make amends. Her eyes looked over his own face, to which he closed them as he waved at her to follow him. It only took a couple of minutes but they were soon at a somewhat nice little seafood restaurant by the pier. "Yumi...just us two." The somewhat older lady nodded at the young pair with a smile, looking at Koyuki with a curious eye, "Ri, who's the lucky lady? Is she from your little following? I'm shocked, especially since you broke my little old heart." she winked at the two of them before diving into the kitchen, Riyel groaning under his breath as he turned red. His little following. Nona and Lloyd had commented on that before but the Ringer knew not what to make of it. It was just weird for him.

"Sorry." He muttered as they sat down, looking over towards the blue sea, "Some people are just very...familiar with me." Familiar...that was certainly one word for it. Riyel's blue eyes trailed back towards the silver haired woman's crimson as he picked up a menu, ordering a beer as the server came up to him. "Are you adjusting...alright?" It was obvious that he wasn't used to going out with people usually, unless it was his family, Lloyd, or Nona.

Riyel merely chuckled. The fishy smell was definitely something that took a while to get used to. When Lloyd had brought him here after the destruction of Winhill, the entire atmosphere was something that he had been unused to. Put aside the scholastics and formal feeling of the Garden and give way to just a sense of homeliness. There were things that he loved about both, but he especially had strong feelings about this place, forgetting that Winhill was his first home. But this place...it was definitely a good replacement. "It's rough to begin with." He could guess the way that she and many others felt...he'd been there, "I know I had to adjust...probably just like you. But...it did grow on me."

He seemed to get lost in thought for the moment, taking a drink of his beer before looking at her. "I am sorry...about what I said. Sometimes...I just get all caught up in stuff and I let my negativity get ahold of me...so I generally sit on that pier and think and just vent alone. Being the strong and silent one of the three leaders is...well, nobody likes being the strong and silent type." Shaking his head, he looked at her again. "Sorry...again, lost in my thoughts...but what I did was not how I really am, Miss I don't know you're name." He snorted. "You've got a hell of a kick, by the way."

"It certainly doesn't bring out the best in me." he muttered, "But I understand. First impressions...carve the character of an individual, though it may be chipped at to look differently over time. But...you have no reason to apologize." His blonde hair covered his eyes as he drank a little more of his beer, "I'm guessing all you do is train though?" His eyes moved towards the waitress as she came around with another beer, this time taking orders from the Unbroken Leader, who merely asked for some salmon and vegetables to go with it. Not the most extravagant order but he never needed much. As he waited for Koyuki to order, his own eyes looked out towards the vast ocean...caught in his own thoughts. "I do love this view though..." he whispered, the sun casting over the vast blue, "A redeeming quality of this place for certain."

He remained quiet as she spoke, his eyes still looking into the great blue that was before him. Her words struck a chord within him, a similarity between the two. But there was also a major difference as well. While Koyuki had only booze and training...Riyel at least had Isaac, Lloyd, Nona, or even his father to communicate with. Her? She came here alone and was living alone, in isolation with nobody to scream, cry, or even laugh at. She was stuck with a fire in her chest that burned if she didn't do something, or anything to release it from the confines of her being. However, as soon as she voiced her name, Riyel's eyes seemed to widen as he absorbed the information that he had been declined for quite some time.

"Koyuki..." He ran that name through his mind multiple times after saying it, deciding that it was indeed fitting for the young man seated before him. A small smile, warm in its own regard, arrived on his face as he looked at her, "It's a beautiful name." His eyes searched her own, as if trying to find an answer for something. But perhaps he didn't, as his hands came up to his face and rubbed his eyes as the food began to arrive. "So....Koyuki...what was it like in Trabia? Did you have family there? Were you one of the more prominent SeeD? I could imagine that." He managed to change the subject, just trying to get to know the silver haired woman before him. And it was obvious he was interested, even as he began to eat a little.

Riyel sat there, listening to the woman speak while his eyes merely looked down towards the content of his food. He could almost imagine it, even though Ifrit was fuming beneath the surface of his mind at the thought of snow. Mushy, wet, nasty abomination of.. He merely cut the Guardian Force off, taking a bite of his food while continuing to visualize what this place was like. He had never gone on a mission there just because...he would be easy to see in a mission that involved columns of fire and tons of explosions with Isaac. That sounds...kinda fun though. He chuckled internally. But Koyuki talking about her hometown made him miss his...Winhill. He truly wondered if he was ever going to get to go back and live at home again. Riyel really missed the wide open fields and the rolling landscape with the sun cascading and warming him as he laid there and embraced it. I miss it...

But it was nice here that was for certain. He had his own family here...and it was nice. But was it so wrong to miss home? "I never had many friends in all honesty...just...enough." His eyes wandered towards her face and gently reached over, recognizing the look there almost instinctively. "Hey...but you're here...and that's sure as hell worth something. We're down but damn it all, we're not out. Never forget that."
