Trinny frowned. While she didn't quite understand what Eve was unsure about, she understood the girl's tone. That tone meant she was amused at her. It also usually meant no. The infant resented this: making a sound of protest, before seemingly being appeased when Eve took her hand. She stared at the ragdoll's hand for a long moment, before taking it with both of hers. "Mine, mine, mine," she chanted as she examined Eve's hand. It was quiete like her own, wasn't it? Only the wrong color. Trinny was a pale blue, after all. "That's part of why I brought her," Vate admitted, glancing at Eve. "Howl tells me you'd make a good teacher when Trinny's old enough to learn. And I won't hesitate to tell you, her powers go beyond mine." Faust had spent the few minutes freaking out, fretting that he'd accidently murdered his true love, panicking that he'd lost her, stopping tears from falling: and he stiffened when he heard her voice. He'd hardly dared to look at her. He took a look through his fingers: he'd covered his face with his hands. "Leirre!" He gasped, taking her hand and helping her up. She was alive! She was okay! For the moment, it didn't matter that she didn't remember him. He loved her, and she was alive! He wrapped her in a tight hug.

Eve found the girl adorable, taking her hand back after a bit in order to eat her breakfast, which looked sugary enough to make her smile. However she looked at Vate in confusion when he said that Howl wanted her to teach Trinny. She was still learning from Howl, so how did Howl expect her to teach Trinny. "Well, aren't I a bit young to teach her magic. I don't even fully understand my own magic." Ivy rolled her eyes as he used her other name. She was starting to get tired of people calling that. She might have remembered, but she preferred being called Ivy. Not Leirre. Leirre sounded like something you'd name a princess or a very girly girl, which she was not. "Faust, I need to breath," she said while trying to breathe with him hugging her tightly. "Love, I remember, but I am still not the hugging kind."

"You are," Vate agreed, "But it'll be quite some time before Trinny's ready to even begin learning. A few years, at least. By the time she's ready to learn, I think you'll be older than Howl when he started teaching you." He paused to ruffle Eve's hair. "Besides," he said, "I think she's already rather attached to you. He glanced at Trinny, grinning. Trinity had made a sound of protest when Eve'd pulled her hand away. "Ehn!" She reached for the girl's hand. "You... you remember?" He asked, blinking. His arms dropped in surprise, and he stared at her. He took her hand, seemimg to want to memorize her with his eyes. "Of course not, you never were. Well. Not towards other people." But she'd always been affectionate with him. What had those vampires done to her? "I love you, Leirre."

Eve nodded between bites of her breakfast, "Good, I'll make sure to learn all I can so I can be a good teacher. She's adorable though I do need my hand to eat, little one," the last part of her words were for Trinny. It was kinda hard to eat with one hand though she did love what Damin prepared. The vampire watched with a frown, "Chew, Eve. I don't need to have your mother kicking my butt because you ended up dying from not chewing your food." Even rolled her eyes, "More juice please, uncle Damin?" Damin poured her another cup of juice. Damin looked at Trinny, "do you want a bottle of milk for the little one, Vate? I think Ivy has some of the baby formula she used for Eve around the house still." Upstairs, Ivy nodded while taking a breath to get air into her lungs. She remembered having a dislike of being hugged, cuddled, even coming in physical touch with others. Even her own parents had been met by an annoyed little girl. Only Faust had actually been able to cuddle or hug her. That often made her smile as a toddler. Though after the years of being among her adopted family and functioning as an assassin, she learned to hate being hugged unless it was Eve that was hugging her. "I'm sorry, Faust. I might remember and I do love you, but I am not good with being hugged period. It's not just you I have an issue with being hugged." She did not want to hurt him, but she really was adjusting to being hugged. She decided to tolerate being called leirre. "Only you can call me Leirre, by the way. I'll have to ask Thali and the others to call me Ivy."

Trinny let go of Eve's hand, staring at Damin. She gave him an almost offended expression, raising one eyebrow. "No!" she said clearly. "No. Juice peas!" She reached her hand towards Eve's cup.
"Trinity's fond of the sweeter things in life," Vate confided in Damin, grinning. "Like her mother. She'll be fine with watered down juice, if you don't mind. Make half it water, though. Too much juice can be bad for them--" He'd clearly just heard this lecture from Thali. He was often getting tips from her about how to properly raise their baby, even if he only had her half of the time. Honestly, he would have thought that after Howl, he was an expert. But no!
"I'll be patient, then," Faust nodded. He wasn't entirely sure he understood, but if Ivy was uncomfortable with physical affection, then he would stop. Or try to. "Natvii won't like that," he said, at once. "I think he'll be showing up later."

Damin nodded at Vate, having been through the same thing with Ivy and Eve. Only Ivy had sought out books to learn how to take care of her daughter when he had raised his little sister back when he was human. He prepared a bottle of watered down juice and handed it to her, "Here. Enjoy. I guess Thali been acting like you don't know how much juice a baby can have. Ivy did the same thing to do and I actually raised my younger sister." Ivy winced at the idea of Natvii and her dislike of being hugged, "I think I might have to endure being hugged then. I hope he forgives me if I wince when he hugs me. I somewhat like it when you hug me sometimes. It's just the cuddling that bugs me." Part of her wondered why Eve invited Natvii. "Is Tavi coming to her birthday party too?"

"Of course. Thali's always worrying about whether I'm caring for her properly." Vate rolled his eyes, and then added in a low whisper, "Honestly, I have Almie, Howl and Devin. You'd think I'd know this business by now. I've raised three!" He grinned, and continued, more playfully, "But nothing's too good for our princess, I suppose."
Trinny took the bottle of juice, inspecting it for a moment. "Tank you." She began to drink, watching the two adults carefully.
"Eh, I don't think he'll mind the hugging part. He's changed a lot since he was a baby. More irritable and more fun to tease," Faust grinned at the memory. He was fond of waking Natvii up, only to have his younger brother threaten to kill him. "Just be glad the party's not scheduled for morning. He's a bear."

"Good point, Vate. At least Thali doesn't get the advice from parenting books." Damin was glad to see Ivy not using them once she figured out that the stuff the books said would not work for a child like Eve. "No problem, little one." He smiled at Trinny before turning his attention back to Eve. "Chew, girl, chew." The toddler rolled her eyes and continued to eat her breakfast. "So did Ivy invite Tavi and Nati for Eve's birthday?" Damin hoped he made big enough birthday cake for her. Ivy raised an eyebrow at how Faust spoke of his younger brother. "I'm not a morning person either,by the way. Then again she had never been one as a child. Even before she was raised by Louie and Anya. "I hope they don't mind the cake Damin made." Then again, part of her was worried how her adopted brothers would view her daughter. Vate had been the only other one that knew Eve. She still remembered Aeto's reaction to her daughter before and she still wanted to kick his butt.

"No, she wouldn't dare read them," Vate chuckled, rolling his eyes. He knew how Thali was, she wouldn't have trusted a human with her child's welfare, even if she quite liked them at all other times. "Teri probably won't be coming. He's been lovesick over some desert elf for years, and he doesn't want to miss seeing her." He rolled his eyes, shaking at his older brother's nonsense. "Natvii will be coming, though. He's been wanting to see Leirre for months. Faust wouldn't let him, though..."
He knew why Faust wouldn't, but Natvii had always been closest to their older sister. He hoped she remembered him, at least.
Almost on cue, Natvii appeared in the house. He wasn't as used to human behavior as Faust or Vate, and he'd apparently forgotten one important thing about visiting someone; knocking. "Leirre!" he called, looking around. "Are you here?"

Damin smiled when Vate spoke of Teri being in love. "Would this desert elf be part of the ravena clan? If so, Eve invited her to the party yet the woman said she had other plans." Kalia was a good looking though a very shy elf. "I believe he wouldn't have him see her due to the issues with memory." Damin had been worried when Ivy's mind had been scarred enough to make her forget her childhood.
He glanced up when Natvii came in and chuckled, "She's upstairs with Faust. You want some pancakes. I made plenty for everyone." Ivy looked towards the stairs when she sensed Natvii and sighed, reminding herself to act like hugging did not bother her too much. She hated to make one of her younger brothers sad.

"I wouldn't know," Vate admitted. He didn't spend as much time with Teri as he did with Faust or Natvii. He was closest to his oldest brother, and the brother closest to his age, rather than the middle brother. Teri was a quiet sort.
"Not hungry," was Natvii's immediate response, dashing up the stairs to find Leirre. He spotted her, and beamed. "Leirre," he said. "Faust's been keeping you from me. But I found you."

Damin figured from Vate's words that not all of the brothers spent a lot of time with each other. "Well, I hope Kalia enjoys her date with him." Kalia had always been the shy sort, but it was good to know she did have a crush on someone. He sat a plate of pancakes near Vate in case he was still hungry.
Leirre looked towards Natvii and smiled, "I've missed you, little brother." She was impressed to see how much Natvii had grown over the years. Last she saw him, he had been a playful child that she often played tag or doll house with. Though she hadn't used girly dolls for doll house then.

"She will," Vate assured Damin with a smile. If there was one thing he knew about Teri, it was that the elf loved Kalia with all his being. "Teri would do anything to make her happy. He loves her." He'd loved her since they'd been children; but they were both so shy, it was a wonder they'd ever managed to go on a date.
Natvii seemed to lose all self restraint. He couldn't resist going to Leirre and wrapping his arms around her. "I've missed you too," he said.
