Bio
Killian comes from a long line of witches and wizards. His family is an old line that has to when the school was first founded. Or so his family says. Killian doesn’t really believe all of that. He only sees it as pure-blood bragging. Coming from a family of Slytherins, they always have something to brag about. Whether it be about power or wealth. Which is typical of most Slytherins from what Killian has seen growing up.
Killian doesn’t see things the way his family does. He doesn’t see himself as a Slytherin. Even at a very young age, he knew there was something different about him, something that set him apart from his family. Shortly after his 11th birthday, he received his letter from Hogwarts. It frightened and excited him the thought of leaving his home and learning magic without his families influence. It also made him wonder just which house he would be in. He did not want to be in Slytherin. He wanted to be in a house that fit him, not his blood.
When he arrived at Hogwarts for the first time, everything was nothing like what his family described. They made the castle sound worse than what he was seeing. They made it sound like houses their distant relatives owned were grander than the great hall. They were all wrong. Everything seemed to have its own glow to Killian. Its own history.
When it was his turn to be sorted, Killian was nervous like the rest of the kids. Something that was understandable since this would be the moment of truth about him. Once the hat was placed on his head, it would prove once and for all where he truly belonged. The hat took its own sweet time announcing which house he was to join. It was like it knew. But actually, the hat was seeing his bloodline and comparing it to what the boy really was inside. It turned out that his rightful home was with Hufflepuff. Killian let out a yelp of pure joy when it announced that. He almost tripped in his excitement to sit at the table with his fellow Hufflepuff’s.
After getting used to his surroundings and the school schedule, Killian discovered that he was really good at Charms. Which later helped him in Transfiguration. This was excellent news to Killian. One thing he really wanted to do while at Hogwarts was to join the Dueling Club. During his 3rd year, his wish came true. But not only did they let him join, they made him Captain of the club as well. They could see his potential and it out ranked their previous Captain’s skill. For 2 years running, they have yet to find someone that is better than Killian.
Extra
When he turned 15, Killian left home. His parents could no longer take the shame of him being put in Hufflepuff and not Slytherin. He now stays with a distant cousin that was also put in a different house that Slytherin, only his house was Gryffindor.
