Wild Moon had just returned from one of the biggest journeys of his life so far. Sort of. It wasn't as dangerous as being stuck on a mountain, but it was a pretty big step in his life to say the least.
Correction.
Their lives, he should say. Sweetie Belle and himself had been an item for a while now, also having emerged from the valentines fiasco unharmed, and strangely more in love than they had already been. He had thought it not possible to fall even harder for the beauty of a unicorn, but he did. And he didn't mind it one bit. Ever since he met her in his teen years, the dark animal patterned 'prince' hadn't really been able to get her to leave his mind. He thought about her all the time, while he was eating, milling about the tree, helping his parents in anyway, even at night in his dreams. So it only seemed logical that Wild Moon make the journey to some fairy he had been told about, to get a potion that was supposed to...well...help them start a family.
It was that very same potion he now held onto firmly in his hand, making sure not to drop it and send his chance at starting his own family seeping into the ground beneath him. A small smile spread across his face, as he stopped just outside the tree to pluck a few flowers from the ground. Enough so to form a very small bouquet. Once he was done with that, he paused at the tree, flowers in one hand and potion in the other. The wind tickled his bangs lightly before dancing through his caramel colored, star speckled pony tail that orbited behind him similar to his Mom and Aunt. "Well, now or never Wild Moon!" he spoke to himself with a soft chuckle as he strolled through the large doors and began making his way towards Sweetie Belle's room.
A new spring seemed to be in his step, some small part of him hoping there was no way Sweetie Belle would deny him. Or perhaps he was just doing his best to force those fears to the very back of his mind and not fret over them. If she wasn't ready yet.... well no big deal. He would wait for her, no matter how long it took.
Once at her door, he paused a moment to fuss with his bangs, all while trying not to drop the flowers he had in one hand and the potion in the other. It didn't work out so well, only managing to leave a stray petal or two stuck on top of his head before managed to knock using his knuckles. "Sweetie Belle, its me!" he called loud enough for her to hear him from before gently pushing the door open and stepping inside. She should be home, though he knew she spent some time down at the new Apple Farm visiting her sisters, Brother in law, Nephew and Nieces. "I brought you....well a little something." he called out again, smiling as he found a place to set the potion down for now, out of the way but somewhat hidden.
He wanted that part to be a surprise....at least until he was able to ask her if she wanted to take that next step with him.

Sweetie Belle was convinced she hadn't stopped smiling since Wild Moon had asked her to be his. She was currently cleaning her room, a spring in her step and a song on her lips and in her heart. She was just wondering when she would see him again when a knock came at her door.
"Oh!" she squeaked softly, then smiled when she heard his voice. It didn't matter what she was feeling, Wild Moon could always make her smile. "Hey!" she said and threw her arms around his neck in a hug. "I was just thinking about you," she blushed, a bright smile on her face. Not that she wasn't always thinking of him, really. Almost everything reminded her of him.
He brought something? For her? She blushed a little harder and giggled. "You didn't have to do that," she murmured. "The flowers are beautiful~ Let me get a vase for them." She meant to give him a quick kiss, but her heart beat so at the motion that she just had to give him a second one, giggling as she moved away to find a proper vase. It was still new to her, being able to kiss him whenever she wanted. New and wonderful. Grabbing a small vase she'd gotten from Applebloom, she filled it with water and brought it back to him to put the flowers in.

Wild Moon laughed, wrapping his free arms around her waist before she could leave, sinking into the kisses. "Of course I didn't have too, but I wanted too." he grinned, watching her as went off to find a vase for the flowers. He glanced over at the potion he had left on the table real quick, before glancing back at the pretty little mare.
"I was thinking about you too." he nodded, chuckling a bit as he stepped closer to her as she searched about. "Actually, I was hoping... I could talk to you about something." he said, trying to find the best way to breach the subject. He didn't want to tip toe around it and draw it out, but he didn't want to just flat out ask without any thought to it either. If he could, he wanted to make it..as romantic as possible?
As she came back and filled the vase, adding the flowers to it, he flashed a charming smile. "If you don't mind of course."

She smiled softly, setting the flowers at a window so they would get some sun. "Of course, you can talk to me about anything," she said and blushed. "Why would I mind?" She came back and slid her hand in his, tugging him to a little love seat she'd bought. She was curious as to what she wanted to talk to her about, it seemed important. "What is it?" she asked as she sat down.

Allowing himself to be drawn over to the love seat, Wild Moon sat down next too her, glancing briefly over to where he had set the potion down before back towards her. "Sweetie Belle...we've been together for a long while now..." he said, placing his one hand upon the back of her's, lacing the fingers of his other hand with hers as well. "I...well I was wondering...." he paused, taking in a breath. "If maybe you wanted to take the next step with me." he asked, staring into her eyes hopefully. "You know...start a family of...of our own." he added, just encase she didn't understand....not that she wouldn't. If she said yes, he had so much more planned than just the possibility of little ones....
Like father like son....except....well....he had no intention of being the female.

Sweetie Belle smiled softly as he took her hands, blushing softly. "We have," she murmured. And it had been wonderful. She couldn't possibly imagine ever being this happy with anyone else. She blinked a bit when he mentioned taking the next step. What did he mean....oh. Oh! She blushed hard and smiled. A family with Wild Moon. She hadn't thought it would be happening so soon, but... "You think we're ready for a family?" she asked, squeezing his hands lightly.

He had thought she might ask that, and he found no matter how many times he ran answers over in his mind, it always equaled the same thing. "I don't think anyone is ever fully ready for the first round....but well I want to experience so much more with you..." he said, his cheeks flushing a little at the thoughts now crossing his mind. He then stood himself up, gently patting her hand as a promise he'd return. He went over to the table and gently picked up the potion he had hid earlier.
"I went out early today, and got this. It's...well its a potion to, ah..." he paused a moment, trying to figure out how to put this. "Help with starting a family..." he said with a embarrassed laugh, running one hand through his hair as he went back over and sat back down beside Sweetie Belle on the love seat. "If you aren't ready though, I promise I will wait for when you are but......but I think we are. I think we can do this......and Mother and Father can help! Aunt Cadence too! I'm sure Rarity would be pleased to spoil you also.." he babbled, though he laughed light heartedly as he peered into her soft green eyes, holding the bottle delicately.

The first round? She blushed. That meant he not only wanted a family, but a large family. She smiled; it was something she'd always thought about. For so long it had just been her and Rarity. They both had their friends who were like family, but this was so much different now. She looked up at him when he patted her hand and got up, wondering what he was going for.
"Oh, Wild Moon," she murmured with red cheeks and a loving smile. "You're absolutely right, we would have so much help," she said with a small laugh. "Probably more than we'd know what to do with." She reached out, lightly touching the potion bottle. "If you think we're ready, then..." she paused and looked up at him, biting her lip a little and smiling. "Then I'm ready, too," she finished softly. Her heart was beating so fast, but she was so happy, too.
There was just one more thing, she supposed. "Ah...where will we live?" she wondered. She had no doubt that Big Mac wouldn't mind building an addition for them if they decided to live on the farm, but she also didn't want Wild Moon to be so far from his own family. That wouldn't be fair to him at all. Perhaps they could find a middle ground, somewhere that was all their own...

Wild Moon's heart leaped for joy when she said she was ready. Ready to start a family with him. A huge smile spread across his face as he took one of her hands in his, the other still clutching the bottle. "I imagine we would be overcome with help." he chuckled, not necessarily meaning it in a bad way. He was sure though his mother might give Rarity some competition on spoiling any grandchildren.
"Ah, well I suppose we will figure that out as we go?" he laughed, now addressing her question of living quarters. "Where ever you'd feel most comfortable.... if that happens to be with your sister, I do not mind. I'm sure the tree wouldn't mind either." he added, smiling as he let go of her hand to gently take the bottle with both his own.
He took a deep breath, before working the cork away, pulling it from the bottle with a slight pop. It smelled like crisp night air, with the hint of something sweet....like...sugar...or freshly baked cookies. He had heard it smelled differently to each person and half wondered what Sweetie Belle could smell.

She couldn't help but smile as a rather large one spread across her love's face. She loved that he was so happy about this, that she could make him happy like that. She giggled a little and nodded. "You're right. We'll have plenty of time to figure everything out, and plenty of help doing it." They both had families who were experienced in this kind of thing, so they certainly wouldn't lack for advice.
Shifting closer to him as he pulled the cork from the bottle, she took a deep breath and closed her eyes softly. It smelled like...apple pie. Hot, sweet, cinnamon-y apple pie, with a slight chill that meant vanilla ice cream. "It smells wonderful," she murmured. "So...we just drink it? And then..." she blushed hard as she trailed off, eyes glancing toward her bed.

He nodded, cheeks flushing as he followed her gaze towards her bed. He didn't want to say it out loud, almost feeling as if it he were still too much of a child to even think about such adult actions. But this is who he wanted to spend his life with....start a family with. "That's right. Or so I'm told....Aunt Cadence confirmed it too." he chuckled softly, running a hand through his hair again before raising the bottle to his lips.
"I'll go first? Encase..its a trap or something." he grinned cheekily, as if he were trying to make some sort of very bad joke. Tilting the bottle, he tipped it to his lips and drank a good portion. Smacking his tongue around a bit, he swallowed, then peered back over to Sweetie Belle. "Doesn't taste too bad..." he smiled. A feeling was now stirring inside him the longer he looked at her. A much much stronger feeling than before...

She smiled and nodded a bit, blushing. She trusted Wild Moon with her life, with her heart. Of course she could trust him with everything else as well. She made a face at his joke. "Soo not funny," she chided him gently with a smile on her face. Especially considering everything that had happened at the Valentine's party. Yeah, no. Not funny at all.
She watched, a little nervously, as he drank the potion. A soft chuckled escaped her lips when he said it didn't taste bad. "My turn, then," she said and reached for the bottle. The glass was cold against her lips, but the potion was warm as she tipped it up. It went down smoothly as she drank, surprising her when she reached the end. Setting the empty bottle aside, she looked at Wild Moon and smiled slowly. She loved him so much, and she was so happy knowing that he loved her, too, that he wanted to have a family with her. With a blush, she leaned closer to him and slid her arms around his neck, pressing her lips to his.

Wild Moon chuckled at her face, watching as she tipped the potion back and finished off the bottle. When she was done, she leaned into him, locking their lips together. Just that one spark was almost too much for the growing anticipation rising in him. With much effort, he pulled his lips from hers, smiling as he took her hands. He stood up from the seat, tugging Sweetie Belle up playfully, and hoisting her into his arms. "Shall we then, my Princess?" he laughed, bending down to nuzzle his forehead against her's. He wasn't waiting a second longer. Grinning, he spun around, carrying her over into her room, using his left hoof and his back to slowly shut the door behind him.
