In Depth:

This is how I act: Naomi is a hard working and is a person that tends to overwork herself easily. It often shows in her face when she's been up all night doing something or if she's been working too much. She's a little bit OCD so it can help with studying, but it also leaves her unable to stop until she's finished the list of tasks she's either been given or that she's set for herself.
Theme/motto: hard work can only get you so far!
More, please!:Frog plushies, Cinnamon, Music, the color green, flowers/Gardening
No!: Bugs, large Animals, Big Dogs
These haunt me at night: Mostly dogs/really big dogs because she was attacked by a big dog when she was a little girl, plus she's always been afraid of animals that just tower over her.
Home-bound:Youngest Child, Older Brother (deceased) & Older sister, Mother (Widowed)
My past: Naomi's life was the almost definition of ordinary. She was pretty but not popular during school, she was smart and did well on her school, but monetary issues arose and her father lost his job due to an accident on the construction site he worked on. Since that was the main source of their income, it made everyone budget more and find as many jobs as they could get. Naomi had a hard time with it, especially with her father. She didn't really understand why, but during his rehabilitation, he started to resort to alcohol. While it wasn't a substantial amount, it was enough to be noticed and for his personality to change. But things got better once he finished his rehabilitation and was able to find some work again, but things started to get heated when her older brother finished school and told everyone that he wanted to go into the army. Everyone protested since he did have his whole life ahead of him. While there was no guarantee that he wold die, there wasn't any guarantee that he would come home alive and uninjured.

It took almost a year of him talking to them, breaking them down to the point where they said yes. Naomi had still been a little girl back then, so she doesn't really remember her brother, she remembers the day when they had someone come to the door and her mother broke down crying. Everyone cried at the funeral, flowers placed on the coffin as it was lowered into the ground. After that, it was a lot of fighting between her parents, and a lot of things she didn't like to witness. They moved to Italy, her father being an Italian who had been studying abroad when he'd met her mother. They stayed with her grandparents and some of their other family there but it grew quite uncomfortable. Some of them didn't exactly approve of their son having married Naomi's mother.

Things didn't get better after that. They don't really know why, but they chalked up the reason as to the death of the son, which was also the reason they figured between her father's depression. It took only a month before he simply walked away out of their lives. It hadn't been him simply walking and leaving, it had been him taking the short route to the ground. Naomi had to really pee that morning, but didn't know why her father was taking so long in the bathroom. No one knew what happened, really, Naomi didn't see it and only heard the gunshot ring out, the warmth of the liquid running down her legs in fear. They didn't know where he'd gotten the gun, or how long they'd had it, but Naomi had to go to another funeral.

After that, since the rest of the family wasn't very open to having Naomi and her sister and mother stay with them, they moved to New York. Times were tough, and Naomi took it upon herself to learn English and Italian (hoping that she could some how make peace with her father's family) so she could help her mother out in this new foreign country. Now almost ten years later, Naomi is off to a proper school after the little tea house she'd worked in closed down.
