About a twenty minute intense bicycle ride's away from Diagon alley, a modestly sized but certainly comfortable three story brick townhouse sits betwixt a squat stone house and a white home. Although certainly not a gaudy mansion, it is a higher-end home. Besides a set of pretty good locks, the wooden doors and the windows are heavily warded against the uninvited and muggles. Trespassers at the very least run the risk of electrocution, uncontrollable giggling, paralysis, hypothermia, and the potential loss of hair and fingernails. Some of said spells are admittedly only quasi-legal, as in no one from the Ministry has asked about them yet.
The actual interior of the house has features extensive shelving for books (with the exception of in the kitchen and the bathrooms). It used to belong to an aging muggle bibliophile, who had payed dearly to put in enough shelving for his beloved books. The current owner has since enthusiastically put them to use. The other furnishings range from the random luxury couch from her childhood home, to thrift-shop bargains. Not all of it matches, but somehow it works all the same. A surprising amount of clutter has built up in the house already, even though the shelves are no where near filled with books yet. Stray bits of parchment, old pens and quills, old news papers, litter the floor. Besides books, on the shelves rest various items, some enchanted, some jinxed or maybe even cursed. Be careful what you touch, a few items have slightly unstable and/or dangerous spells on them... Don't want to lose a finger after all. Or your head.
