The air was always fresh after a springtime shower. There was something about the rain that amplified the scent of the freshly cut grass or the wildflowers in the field. This was the weather that Juliet loved best. If she wasn't chasing the faint rainbows that appeared in the sky shortly after the storm clouds cleared, she was off celebrating the return of the clear skies. It was what she was doing now in the middle of a field. She jumped and danced among the wildflowers, laughing and enjoying her time away from the main house. Her white fur was wet from the rain but she didn't care. This was the life!
"I love spring!" She yelped, wagging her tail happily.

Another excited female was exploring the freshly rinsed world. The princess, feeling as young as ever, pranced through the damp tall grasses, giggling as the cool water soaked through her fur, refreshing her mind. Being stuck inside all the time wasn't any fun! She wanted adventure! Excitement! Thrill!
Hearing a strang voice yell out nearby, Igraine looked over for the source, and promptly stepped into a rabbit hole. She yelped and tumbled, rolling a few feet before ending up on her belly with a dizzy head and a sore paw. Adventure... Fate didn't understand the proper meaning....

Juliet was in mid twirl, her tiny white wings fluttering excitedly, when she heard a yelp nearby. Uh oh, she wasn't supposed to cause any trouble with anyone and she'd been warned by her mother to avoid anyone with black fur. This wolf wasn't like the one she'd been warned about and so, she visibly relaxed. She tilted her head and watched as the female wolf tumbled.
"Oh no!" She wandered closer to the female lying on her belly and began to poke at her head. "You're silly! That's not how to walk! One paw in front of the other. That's how you do it."

It took her eyes a moment to focus, but Igraine managed a slight smile. "But walking normal is so boring!" she explained, pushing herself back standing. She had to take it easy on the paw that had found the hole though. That was sore. "You should tell the rabbit to move his house someplace safer..."

"Ha! That's why it's better to dance than walk." She said happily. Taking a step back, Juliet made room for the other female to stand and sat down, wrapping her tail around her paws. She couldn't help but stare at Igraine with wide, admiring eyes. She didn't exactly have the sense to not stare so openly at someone. She sure was pretty Juliet thought to herself. This other wolf was purple like her mom. And if she was purple like her mom, then she was definitely someone Juliet could trust. Before she could ask what the other wolf's name was, she was distracted by the mention of rabbits.
"There are rabbits nearby?" She asked excitedly, tail thumping on the wet ground. "Awww I want to see them. Were there any baby bunnies?"

Igraine couldn't help smiling. While she loved being with her large family of knights, it was nice to escape her title and the restrictions that tended to follow. Dancing!
Ears twitching, she gave a soft chuff and shook her head. "I don't know. Let's go see!" Turning, she limped back toward the hole she had stumbled over, and cautiously peered inside. "Hello? Is anyone home? I'm sorry for stepping in without asking first! It was an accident."

Tail wagging, Juliet followed after the purple moonlit; barely containing her excitement. Oh! She couldn't wait to see their cute little noses, puffy tails and fuzzy butts. She wanted to roll around in the grass with them and bop them on the heads. Her thoughts of bunnies were interrupted by the purple wolf's limp. She watched her limp towards the hole and tilted her head. What was wrong with her? Was she okay? Juliet wasn't entirely sure if she should ask or not. She didn't want to offend her.
Settling down beside her, Juliet bent down as Igraine peered into the hole. Tilting her head curiously, listening for any sound or movement from the hole.
"I hope they aren't too mad about you stepping in their hole though, I guess I can understand being quite unhappy about that. One time, I stepped on the box my brother was sleeping in and he chased after me." A sudden thought crossed her and she frowned. "Do you think rabbits attack?"

Igraine's eyes narrowed. "I.. don't think so. Bears attack. Boars. Cats. Badgers. I don't think rabbits do."
She gasped when she saw a pair of eyes glitter in the depths, and she backed away. "Come on out!
Slowly, a fluffy gray rabbit poked its nose out, blinking cautiously yet curiously at the pair outside his home.

Juliet shuddered at the mention of cats. The black and white terror her human brought into the house was absolutely mental. Running and jumping and surprising people. She didn't quite like that thing.
At Igraine's gasp, Juliet took a few hasty steps back and watched the fluffiest rabbit she'd ever seen. She wanted to pounce on it but mother had always told her how rude that was. She settled with wiggling excitedly on her paws.
"He's adorable...." She bent down and tilted her head this way and that as she examined him. "He's so fluffy....Hi mister!"

Hmm... There were a lot of attacking animals whose names started with the letter 'b'.... She would make a note of this to ask her parents. "He's so cute!" she squeaked as the rabbit emerged, hunkering down as well so as to not tower over the little guy.
The rabbit's nose twitched endlessly as it sniffed and observed, looking between the wolves. Sensing they weren't a threat, he hopped out further, until they could see his puffball tail flicking nervously.

She was absolutely dying inside from the cuteness. When the rabbit emerged from the hole finally, Juliet followed the other female's example and hunkered down on her belly though she was still wiggling excitedly. She reached out tentatively towards the bunny with her paw and paused, realizing she should probably ask.
Turning to her purple companion, Jules tilted her head.
"Can I poke it..." Her voice trailed off as she realized she had absolutely no idea how to address this wolf. "I don't know your name do I? Hm... that is a problem isn't it? What do I call you?" She mused aloud.

A big smile split her maw, and she could only just repress her happy giggles so as not to scare the rabbit back into hiding. She sniffed at it from a distance, tail wagging to show that she was friendly.
"Poke it? You could try, I guess? He might not like it." Ears perking, Igraine looked over to the other female and gasped. "I'm sorry! My name's Pr-.. My name's Igraine. What's yours?"

"I'm Juliet." She said happily. "Igraine huh? That's really pretty!"
With the go ahead from Igraine, Jules shuffled forward on her belly with green eyes shining brightly. She was close enough to reach out now and slowly stretched out for the fluffy rabbit. She pat him ever so gently on the head and let out a small squeal of joy.
"You're so soft...."

"Juliet. Your name is really pretty, too," she said with a light giggle. Both names were found in old books.
She held her breath as Juliet shuffled toward the rabbit, trying hard to not scare it herself. Her own squeak of delight followed, and she, too, wiggled forward and reached out to stroke one of those long ears. "So cute!"
The rabbit wiggled its little nose, watching both females carefully. It flinched the tiniest bit as the first paw came near, but only twitched its nose more once it was patted. His long ears twitched when Igraine's paw came next, and its fluffball tail twitched as well. These wolves weren't so bad!

Jules was positively beaming from Igraine's compliment.
"Thanks." She said, giggling softly. "Igraine... Igraine.... I think I've heard your name before."
She was certain she'd heard it before. Had other moonlits at home mentioned it before? Maybe it was in a comic book. She'd been reading one after the other for the past few weeks now. She couldn't quite place her paw on it though. Of course, she couldn't be too bothered to concentrate more on where she'd heard Igraine's name from. She was still caught up in the excitement of petting a bunny and it was the greatest thing in the world to her. She was actually petting her favorite animal and it wasn't running away. She knew today was going to be good because of the rain but now, this topped the cake. Today was turning out to be a pretty amazing day!
"I'm glad you stepped in his hole. I wouldn't have gotten to meet him." Juliet said as she pulled her paw away from the fluffy rabbit. "I never knew that rabbit hole was there."
She watched the rabbits nose twitch with curiosity and couldn't help but give the poor bunny's nose a lick.
