The child's complaint only made the man beneath her feet struggle harder, attempting to make himself a worse target. The dragoness hissed in slight pain as the thrashing jarred her injuries and dug her claws in deeper as she tried to regain her balance. "Now now, hold still...." she murmured to her captive, echoing the boy's suggestions. "Dont want to have a sloppy kill. I am sure you know how much pain that is." Her eyes gleamed as she said that, knowing full well that a killer such as this would know exactly what she was talking about. The man cursed them again, and she hit him harder this time, tisking at his language.

Then her new friend asked her to kill the man, and she blinked. He wasnt going to do it? She supposed having him so close to the ground would make it harder for him to use his yo-yos. "I suppose I must. Dont worry, you wont be in the way at all."
With that vague comment, she turned hert attention to drawing out her powers, fighting the ability stunting powder that her attackers had hit her with in the beginning. The stuff has been slowly wearing off, but it was still and effort to draw in anywhere near her full potential.
But draw in she did, and with a flash of fire and a surge of power, the man's body was consumed in flames, leaving only a charred skeleton in the deadly element's wake. It happened too fast for him to scream.

With no flesh to support her, her feet broke through the skeleton's ribcage, and she shook her head. "That was sloppy. My apologies. I suppose we need to kill his partner too. People like this usually wont stop unless all of the team is dead, unfortunately. Sad waste of life." and picked her way out of the remains to the remaining man, still passed out. "Though I wonder....Is there any identification to which demon hunting guild he is a part of?"

She knelt and turned the man over onto his back, and rifled through his belongings and clothing, coming up with a few pieces of paper, and a good deal of money. She also took his knife and a few valuable looking items, setting them on the side out of the killing flame's way.

This time, it was visible that her eyes glowed bright blue when she used her power, and once the man had been dealt with, she turned to her companion and gave him a weary smile and a small bow. "Thank you for saving me. My name is Kara. I didnt catch your name"

Of course, the display of her power was frightening to the child. There were not many who could wield flames as well as she could, and thouh he did not know it, her killing of the men had been mercifully short, where they barely registered the searing pain before dying. Others might have toyed with thier prey and made them suffer. But she? She had just wanted to get rid of them so she could heal.
The dragoness frowned at the boy's obvious fear, and sighed. In a gentle tone, she said "I dont hurt anyone unless in self defense. And you saved me. I wont turn on you. I swear." as she gently took his hand and shook it. His nervousness was still showing, and she had no idea how to sooth him, aside from going back to her usual nonthreatening nature.

"Now, I would like to know the name of my rescuer. I could not have escaped if it werent for you. Thank you." she gave him a slight bow and dipped her wings in thanks. She was very curious about this child who had come to save her. He looked rather young, but his aura felt strong and he wielded his yoyos with skill that showed he had turned them into powerful weapons.
Before sh had run past him, the dragoness had begun ti despair of ever escaping the two hunters, who had doggedly persued her through many places before catching up with her. No one had helped. The blue eyed dragoness sent a thought of thanks to the lucky stars that this boy had had the honorable spirit to see that what was going on was wrong, and had come to rescue her from the men who now laid charred on the ground.

That thought brought a shudder. "Can we... hurry to see your friends? I dont like using my powers like that, and the sooner we leave this behind, the better. I also need to get bandaged up, if you dont mind." Indeed, she looked in pretty bad shape. Her scales on her tail were scratched up, and she had a cut on her cheek that was bleeding a little. Her wings had some small scratches and tears, that not only hurt, but also made it hard for her to fly. And the small blood spots on her clothes hinted at other injuries that were not immedatly visible. On top of that, she was exhausted and bruised, and she only hoped that the boy's friends were not too far away. Otherwise she would be forced to ask for halts in thier walk as she lost energy
