I signed up for the gym. I've only went once, since I won't be getting a car until next month. But I am excited. I've gained 33 lbs in just over a 14 month time spand. I'm on my thyroid medication, so it'll help.
OMG I about fell over off the machine. I did 15 minutes elliptical then another 15, then some hard core stair bending one for like 7 minutes.
xD
My boyfriend, who is a smoker, about fell off the elliptical too.
It was hilarious.

I don't get to go to the gym as much as I'd like to, because I work 2nd shift, and currently have a puppy who hates being left alone. neutral
But if you'd like some advice, do more than just cardio. Throw in some weight lifting, too. That's where the real results come from. You burn more calories lifting weights, than doing cardio, and you build bigger, stronger muscle, which require more calories to perform the same functions, than smaller muscles. You'll literally burn more calories with less effort, over time.
Don't get me wrong, cardio has its own benefits, too. But you want a balance of both. And you don't have to go for Arnold Schwarzenegger, either. Even lifting low weights will do the job, without the bulk. And I have to say, there's something sexy about a good physical tone.

You are lucky, because you can go to the gym. I cant because i have a stomach injury and i cant do physical exercise and dieting alone is a LOT harder to lose weight and look in shape.

I've also been going to the gym. I started weightlifting again and then I run a few laps afterwards. That's most of what I do.
