The keeper watched this woman move around, trusting the sword to the weak willed woman whom was already crumbling before him, he had seen human children put up a better fight. It was the uttering of that old name that turned mild anger into a roaring fury, it burned in him without control or any need for it. His left hand rose steadily, each of the thick fingers uncurling before folding into a solid fist. From between his fingers a blinding light grew intensified until staring at him became impossible.

“So many carefully laid plans, you have walked these realms with a fury some would say even matches my own. So impressive”
he mocked, opening up his hand. A sun the size of a baseball floated there, it took perhaps a single moment for the heat from the tiny orb to turn the entire forest into a roaring fire, the ground at their feet became scorched earth cracking and boiling so that the base of their shoes began to melt. By some strange consideration of the dark god he had chosen not to simply allow them to be vaporized instantly, dusting them would be to easy. Instead a great pressure settled over them, a shield of raw heat not to mention the gravitational field of even the tiny sun was enough to drag them towards him.

Even with the brilliant light radiating from his palm his hood remained black as night, his eyes burning with hatred. “I have been a god for EONS YOU WORMS!” His voice became enormous, it boomed so loud it made their ears bleed and their eyes shake, it ate into them and devouring any hope sleeping within them. “I WATCHED YOU INSECTS CLIMB OUT OF THE MUD, TINY IGNORANT APES” The sun in his hand grew larger and larger yet, the heat drawing the liquids from them in a terrible swoosh, the air had long since become acred and terrible to breath like inhaling fire with each breath.

He glided towards her his fingers lashing out to grasp the black witches chin his fingers feeling like red hot metal against her skin, she would be able to smell her own skin burning under his touch. “You think you escaped me little witch?” His other hand touched his hood and began to draw it back, the shadow receding with it along with the terrible glowing eyes. “With you I killed Hiroko and made her palace vulnerable, I killed Azya a thousand times and more and ate his unholy energy, with you I became powerful enough to collide these words even from behind the Viel, you freed me!” The hood fell away and her own face stared back at her, twisted and dark her eyes burning with the power of the underworld, this is whom she would become with his powers in her hand, the look in her own eyes hungry and mad. His voice had become hers as it spoke.

“Together we ensured the destruction of the living.” He lifted her from the ground her feet leaving the ground until her face was nine feet in the air to face it properly. “thank you” her face whispered to her then leaned in and kissed her square on the lips, the kiss tasted like acid, poison and the stink of it filled her throat and drowned her in the sickening taste of death. Then he tossed her aside towards the frozen Azya whom was only now overpowering the spell that held him, moving slowly to put out a fire that had started close to his wrist.

The lord of death then turned his back on her and released the sun from his hand allowing it to ascend slowly above him so he no longer needed to hold it. He advanced upon the white haired witch, his naked feet floating an inch from the ground as he moved fluidly towards her. “I have no mortal body left, I am the Keeper” he pronounced finally his voice his own once more as he drew the hood back over his head throwing it in shadow once more. “Straid is dead”

The hunter peered behind him. The dragons had taken off, great beasts of bone defied all physics and they flew with incredible speed. They could not hope to escape like this, it simply was not in the cards. “Your to damned slow.” Sheathing his sword he wrapped his right arm around Alices waist and threw her over his shoulder his arm tucked just under her rear. “close your mouth and tuck your head into my neck or you will damage your spine.” His fingers tightened on her so she would not slip and he moved.

Behind them she could see the dragons accelerating after them, their great wings tucking inwards as they crept upon the running couple. The hunter however was much much faster, on an empty stretch of road he would have easily out distanced the monsters, however he had to think about the girl. Going to fast would obliterate her, the moment he broke the sound barrier her skin would be flayed and he would be holding nothing more then a sack of holy meat.

Instead he ran as hard as a mortal man could muster, his long legs eating up the miles with leaps and bounds, yet it was not enough. The first fireball rocked the earth right behind them tearing up the cobble stones and throwing them into the air along with enormous stones that had been uprooted from the blast. For a moment they hung upside down the hunter deathly silent in concentration as one of the enormous beasts swooped below them, given the angle she could see the shear enormity of the monster.

Then he threw her, he outright tossed her directly at the ground several hundred feet in the air like a man might huck a sack of barley. His own feet landed squarely on a piece of stone that had been uprooted moments earlier. No longer burdened by the girl he could move freely. He took off, his body vanishing as light could no longer reflect an image of something moving so fast, rather the stone he was standing on exploded upwards towards the sky just as the first dragon whom had not passed under him turned to swallow the entire stone.

Something fast moved past her head as she fell and suddenly the Hunter was below her, catching her with nimble grace and taking off once more this time for the cover of what was left of the palace. Lunging threw a window he turned so to shield her from the rain of glass that followed his entrance. Rolling onto his shoulder he allowed her to slide on her back across the floor before he dragged her by her arm once more upon his back like a sack of flower. “These ******** cun-” The floor under their feet exploded upwards, the spine of a dragon just below them turning the floor into a jigsaw puzzle of dangerous sharp objects. His blade was in hand in a heart beat, cutting a path through the carnage with what looked like wall of silver light.

He lunged from the opposite side of the palace and landed in a crouch facing the dragon now emerging from the ruins of the palace. She could feel a low laugh bounce deep in his chest as he threw something aside. Seven or eight tiny pins that danced across the courtyard, a moment later their was a sudden explosion and the sound of bones braking, a terrible roar and then silence. He set the girl down lightly. “The other one is probably sorting threw the rock it devoured and this one wont reassemble for some time, we have a few moments. Lead on girl.” he growled watching the final building of the palace crumble in on itself like a coffin for the fallen dragon.

Jade covered her face once more with her arm, shielding herself from the rays of the orb the Keeper created. She squinted and glared at him, lowering her arm as he spoke. She was uncomfortable with not being able to see him clearly, it would have made her a liar to say she wasn't bothered slightly by this. But nonetheless she stood strong. The Keeper fed off pain and fear. He would not receive either from this woman.

She allowed his mocking compliment roll off her shoulder as if it were a stray bullet, just missing its mark by a crucial few inches. The metal plates at the base of her heeled boots began to glow hot, the ceramic above them cracking in protest to the heat, the rubber layers above that became warm and sticky, soft and uncomfortable under her feet but she did not budge still.

The white witch, however, jumped as the ground grew hot beneath her, nearly turning her dress to flames. She quickly stood and found a spot of earth that was not in flames, but it did not protect her bare feet from a pain that made her bite her lip. To scream was to lose the sword. She had to serve her purpose.

-----------------------------------

"The Keeper is with them. They have the sword..." Alice relayed the scenes to Azya as she felt it in her master's thoughts. "They will be ready to come through at any moment. Prepare yourself, Azya." She reached up and stroked the face of on of the sacrifices gently before placing her hands together and prepared herself for the next part of the plan, waiting for her master's command.

-----------------------------------

A scream filled the air as the hunter threw her fragile frame into the air like a rag doll. The disrespect was immense in this man.... She opened her wings but the angle in the air and the angry winds nearly ripped it off of her. She closed her wings and her eyes, praying a silent prayer that Michael would come protect her. She couldn't die in this plane... She'd go to limbo. Eternal nothingness did not sound appealing... The ground grew ever closer and she began to panic, her angelic body feeling ill. Suddenly he was beneath her again, moving much too fast for her to even follow the battle he was slinging her around for.

Her mind and vision was a complete blur until she was on the ground again, her legs failing her. The moment she was placed down her legs wobbled like a baby deer's and she fell, catching herself with her palms. She looked behind her at the chaos the Hunter had left the palace in and her eyes grew wide. Such power! Just what, exactly, was this man they had sent her to fetch?

She looked up to his annoyed gaze and blushed, quickly willing strength back to her legs. Brushing herself off she began to limp towards the palace gates, her knee giving her absolute hell from a piece of rubble hitting it in all the chaos.
"R-Right..." She was absolutely dazed and shaken.

-----------------------------

The Keepers grip sizzled and boiled her skin, turning it to a deep brown as it fried under his touch. He held her by the chin, high off the ground, gloating to her about how he had used her like a pawn. The face in the hood did not fool her, she knew this was simply an illusion to make her feel weak and defeated. She simply allowed him his pleasure as she had countless times before in countless ways.

Her small hands gripped his large hands, making her mirror form gasp and tear up as she watched the dark witch struggle against his grip, burning her palms. Internally, Jade hardly felt the pain of the Keeper's touch but she knew her body was suffering.

"Thank you."

The whisper was cold and wicked, mockery in its finest form. It almost made Jade scowl if not for the sudden kiss that followed. It was hard, forced, tasting of death and sin. It burned her lips and melted the top layers of skin, causing her mouth to grow dry and chapped. But nonetheless she licked the lips of the face in the hood, disguised as her own. Then she was soaring. She felt the breath leave her as she impacted a tree, a shattering crack leaving her core as the tree trunk splintered as did five of her ribs. Blood left her mouth and dripped down onto her exposed cleavage.

The white haired witch watched in horror as she was the only one left who could fight. But she knew she was helpless. The child within her forbade her from fighting in any way. And as the Keeper turned to her, she held the wrapped sword tightly against her chest, fearful for her life and that of her child. Her eyes turned a bright green, the green of her once pure innocence.

"St-Stay back..." She stammered over her words, knowing it was as useless to tell the Keeper to do something as it was to command a fire with mere words. They would die here... This was it.

------------------------------------------------

Alice looked up immediately as the palace collapsed about a mile out. She could see the forms of dragons in the rubble. This place just kept getting more and more strange. She looked to Azya as if silently asking if they were in immediate danger. They were drawing closer to the end of their need for this portal, she knew it. But she needed time still. Only about five minutes. Sweat began to bead on the angel's brow as she felt the pressure bare its weight upon them.

--------------------------------------------

"Straid is dead."

The words rang out as the very definition of ominous as the Keeper approached the defenseless white witch. She turned her head and nearly screamed but stopped at the strangest sound that rose from beside Azya.

"H-.... Heh..." A crack was heard and then the tree lost its grip on it's weigh, toppling over to fall against another tree, it's weight barely held up by lawless physics. Jade pushed herself to her knees within the cloud of dust created by the tree's protest to gravity. "Heh.... Heh heh..." Her weak breaths of amusement grew to a chuckle, then to a maniacal laughter.

As the dust began to clear, her words were strong despite the obvious lack of wind behind them.
"You're right..." From within the cloud of dirt and wood bits her eyes glowed a brilliant shade of red, as if they belonged to Lucifer himself. Pushing herself to her feet, she continued to speak, "We were the ones to do this.... Together... I bore your spawn... I killed Azya a million times over.. I killed Hiroko... I freed you..." The dust began to settle now, revealing the figure of Jade, fiddling with something on her wrist and then sticking out her scorched tongue, pulling something from it.

"It's because of me that you are what you are now..." In her hands Azya could see what appeared to be two golden threads. "I created this..."Between her thumb and forefinger she took up the shorter thread and broke it in half, her eyes turning a brilliant gold, her hair and clothes riding the currents of an unknown wind. Her clothes faded from black to pure white and her hair grew streaks of white within its tresses.

She wrapped the two halves of the first thread around the tip of her left middle finger, one on the tip, one at the base.
"And I created the monster that now is devouring worlds..." Her gaze shot up to the Keeper, wild with the blood lusting glare and sickeningly wicked grin that had adorned her features when she was stricken with insanity in the past. She wrapped the complete second thread around the center knuckle of her middle finger and wound it down her forearm. She beamed brightly as she held it up for the Keeper to behold, a sickening laughter bubbling up from her chest.

Something inside the white haired witch told her to draw closer to the dark haired witch as she was doing this, to be close to her and Azya. She slowly shifted her weight to move towards them, trying to be unnoticed by the Keeper as her counterpart went on.

"But you said it best, Keeper..." The title was spat, mocking. "'So many carefully laid plans.' You have no idea how long I thirsted for this...." The angelic blade, fused with the power of the dead, appeared in her right hand as she displayed her middle finger for him to see. "I hope you rot, you piece of s**t." Surely he knew now what she was doing. But before she allowed him the chance to do anything about it, she flayed her arm open, running the blade from her forearm straight down to the tip of her middle finger, cutting the strings.

The moment this was done she turned and kicked Azya in the spine, pushing him through the portal he had been staring into in undesired obedience.

-------------------------------------------

Without warning Alice pushed Azya into the portal, a firm shove to the back and he was through.

Immediately the portal closed on both sides, disappearing in a fiery display of brilliant colors. Red, orange, green, blue, purple rose and danced in a fire that burned nearly a hundred feet into the air.

-------------------------------------------

The blue haired angel saw the beacon and gasped.
"That's where we need to be!" In her urgency she tugged at his hand and wrapped his arm around her, her eyes pleading. "We need to hurry!" She hopped into his arms and pointed to the colorful display of flames before them.

-------------------------------------------

The white witch screamed as the portal vanished in a colorful blaze, Azya being tossed into it as if it were a pool. She ran to the dark haired witch and struck her angrily, pausing for a moment to stare at the woman in complete horror. If the Keeper didn't kill her, then surely this woman would now.

The dark witch's gaze was calm yet maniacal as she ripped the blade from the white witch's grip and placed it firmly within the hold of her back armor again. She appeared completely different, bathed in white fabric and metals. She turned her back to the white witch, gripping her hand with her own, flayed and bleeding heavily. Her right hand held the angelic blade and held it before her, speaking the tongue of the angels as she sliced into the fire before them.

-------------------------------------------

Alice proceeded to rip her other wing off now, screaming in pain as she did so, time not allowing her the time to gather the self restraint to keep her pain concealed. She shook the feathered limb gently and it became that of solid gold. She held it into the flames and whispered an angelic chant in sync with her master, her words filled with agony as her blood poured from her like water from a vase.

"Written on broken, blackened wings of ash,
When Heavens will it, Present forgotten Past."

The worlds around them shook and a tear was formed in the fabrics of time where the two blades met.

"Move!" The dark witch pushed the crying white witch through the portal to stand beside the bloodied and weak Alice. Once they were both through the portal, it vanished immediately to protect them from the Keeper's wrath. Alice shared a weak smile with Jade who simply prepared for the next trial. She looked to the angel and frowned, the magic she had used draining her nearly completely. She looked older even, at least five years wore at her features now, and she looked like she hadn't slept for any of them.

Turning her gaze to the crumbling palace, the dark witch spoke weakly.
"Alice. Very nice work. Thank you for your sacrifices." The angel offered a bit of her blood to the dark witch as she had with Azya but the witch refused. "Save it for Azya..." She slowly leaned down to sit on the cobblestones and held her head in her hands.

"The Hunter is coming, Jade. Be prepared. He may not be willing to assist us. I understand he is not the heroic type, but nor is he a monster. Be prepared to protect us if he decides to attack... I've done all I can do for now..." She tossed the sword to the white witch's feet and leaned back on her good hand, her white attire now stained a sickly brown color of drying blood. Now she just had to wait for the other two pieces to the puzzle...

The white haired witch picked up the sword gingerly and looked at it oddly, turning it over in her hands. She had become such a weak child in the face of death and fear. She had been almost useless up until this point. She had no desire to fight but she would if she had to. Even without her powers, she'd make this work. Azya, Alice, and her mirror had all made great sacrifices to make this happen.... Now what would be the trial that she, herself, had to face?

Her mind traveled to Azya.... His body was not in this realm either... It was as if he was completely gone... There was no way her counterpart had killed him. She knew she loathed him but after his alternative form had helped them so much... Why would she kill him?

[ Holy s**t it's done!! QuQ It's so.... It's so.... beefy. ]

Both Azya’s struck the portal with a loud slap, their bodies hung their for a long brutal moment their bodies shaking violently amongst tortured screams that hardly sounded like they rose from Azya’s throat. White and blue electricity shuddered over them, together as one, the portal began to collapse upon its self crushing the two men before it became nothing but a pin p***k and vanished all together leaving behind only the memory of the man known as Azya.

Of the keeper their was no sign, he had vanished the moment she had cut that string. The tiny sun dissipated into smoke the ground cooling rapidly as if it had never even happened. The trees however remained bent and burning, always the crackling sound of old wood. One by one they vanished until the wood was quite and dead, the fire raging in complete silence as it devoured the decrepit place hungrily.

The hunter watched all this as he strode purposefully towards him, his eyes curious though unmoved at the sight of Azya vanishing into the self destructive portal. He watched the rest tumble free like clowns from a car, the deep red blood that was flowing from one of the womens arm spoke of death, he could practically smell the end for her. He stepped over rubble and the broken corpses of the undead, his green cloak drifting lazily just above the wreckage trailing his feet with a bounce at every step.

He came to stand before the ragged bunch his eyes drifting over the familiar sword impassively as it layed at the witches feet. He could hear it in his brain, a soft humming murmur that beckoned him with so much intensity he could feel sweat beading on his forehead. Pushing his hood down he ran his fingers along his hair, pulling it from his armor and allowing to drape along his back. His gaze drifted from one to the next and what he saw made him soften. He drew a finger to his chest and pressed a clasp that sat their, his swords sliding from his back and into his waiting hand. These he set aside.

The hunter had seen war in a thousand different forms, he had witnessed every death available to the living in this world and had witnessed horrors that made the immortals crave the touch of the keeper and his eternal rest. Yet at the all these things people were always basically the same, after conflict they were desperate and tired. He had no wish to make that any worse. Crossing the little distance between himself and the black haired witch he knelt fully expecting the white haired girl not to simply drive the sword in his spine when he had his back turned. “Your going to die unless you close that wound.” he stated simply drawing a knife from his belt, a long thing with a flat blade. “I am going to close that wound, if you will not accept the angels blood I will hold you down and burn the flesh until you cease the bleed.”

He tapped his knife against his leg watching her. tap tap tap “What will it be girl?” tap tap tap . The look in his eye told the girl he would not allow her to argue with him, if she argued he would lay her flat out and do it while she was unconscious. Given the situation these people were in the chances of any of them being capable of stopping him was beyond minimal, he just had a soft spot for warriors, he would not allow this woman to die in such a way.

Jade smiled as the Hunter approached her. "Ah, a man of the Creed... Perfect timing, as expected of a man of your reputation." Her grin was weak as she laid in a pool of her own blood. Her vision was growing blurry as she listened to his soft words, shaking her head to the white witch to let him closer. Upon his threat of healing her she raised her lip in a snarl of disapproval. "I've served my purpose in this world and the next even even more... I no longer have a need to breathe."

Her words were almost mumbled, slurred by blood loss. "The Keeper is weakened.... I need you..." Her bloodied hand took him by the forearm to steady herself and her good arm reached behind her and into her armor, retrieving the wrapped blade. "I need to you cut him down when he c omes to end us." She offered the blade to him, trusting he would aid them in a mutual end. She replaced her good arm behind her as a brace, smearing her blood upon his flesh as she moved her hand to grab his.

"Only one of the Creed can end him now... And this blade is rightfully yours.... Return him to his mortal form, end him if you will, and the sword will forever rest with you, the last of the Creed." She looked into his battle hardened eyes, surely he'd see the fight in her own eyes when she smiled weakly. "Nothing would make me happier than to see this errand to completion."

The hunter ignored the weapon in her hand, the image of her snear reflected in cold furious eyes. His hand moved over the blade, a bright flash between the steel and his palm turned the weapon an angry red. When she offerd him his sword he made no move to take it. “Oh yes girl, I will kill him. For what he has done to us I will slaughter him and laugh when he fades from this world a broken and hated monster and you will be right their with me.” His hand lashed out grabbing her cut wrist with hands of steel he braught the knife down upon the open wound.

Fire rolled from her melting fat as he dragged the knife slowly along the jagged wound cealing it in angry fire. The pain alone might kill her, the shock might kill her but he had faith in the girl, and if he didnt do anything she would be dead anyways. His other hand slid around to the back of her neck willing her to the ground should she fient. When the weapon clattered from her hands he made no move to pick it up, his enormous armored form hovering over the crumpled girl. “explain this to me” he growled his shoulders shaking with suppressed rage. “How did you attain my sword?”

"Your sentiment is sweet." The words came out as mumbled slurs as her body began to sway as unconsciousness began it's descent into her mind. "But I--" the words were caught in a gasp as he gripped her wrist, the pain of his strength sprinting through every nerve running into her core. A heavy and fast breath of air was sucked in through her teeth as the blade melted her skin together as a sealant for her wound, burning the blood and vessels as the skin closed.

A scream filled the air and her vision blurred as she realized the atrocious noise was rising from her own lungs. Ancient curses dripped from her tongue as the blood dripped from her arm and onto his hands. Gods, the burning!! This pain made the Keepers touch feel like that of a lovers in comparison. She hissed at him again, gripping his forearm with her last remaining strength, begging him in foreign tongues to stop. She only craved the suffering to end. He grabbed the back of her neck and her eyes flashed brilliant crimson, shooting open to target him. Blackened hands broke through the cobblestone beneath him and grabbed at his legs, pulling him away from her.

"I will mother your infernal spawn no longer, Slaid!"
She hissed violently, beginning her thrashing hysteria. She screamed once more and then fell backwards into his hand, bringing her tired gaze to his features as the hands in the ground receded to their oblivion within the soil. He was a handsome man, she had to admit. But perhaps that was simply her blurring vision that was betraying her.

She had to stay conscious. For Jade, for Alice, for Azya, for Bane, for the realms. She had taken this chore upon herself, planned the course for this errand... The Hunter had been right, she needed to be there to see it through. She wouldn't rest peacefully until it was done and she had to see it for herself... She kept her eyes locked on Bane, her lungs silence as he finished cauterizing her wound. She had sliced herself good but the blood was needed for a spell against an immortal...

When he was through, she laid there, becoming more human than she had ever seemed since that fateful day that turned her cold and battle hardened. She squirmed her way closer to the Hunter and rested her head against his leg, closing her eyes in peace. She'd live, she was sure, but in this moment she could feel her own thread grow thin and weak, frayed and fragile. Her eyes were a dim grey now behind her eyelids as she rested against the mans leg.

In the distance she heard his voice, angered slightly, ask her how she had obtained the sword. An incredibly weak smile graced her lips as she cuddled his leg, allowing herself a woman's comfort in her weakness.
"Through great efforts, my dear." Her words were soft, as if spoken to a child as it fell asleep.

Above her the white witch watched calmly. Her eyes sad and sympathetic. She felt bad now for ever doubting her counterpart.

Beside them, a few feet away, the blonde angel drew glyphs with her blood, laying her most recently amputated wing in the center as if it belonged to the earth now. She prepared the ritual as it would be needed to be and walked over to hug her blue haired copy. The white winged angel who had brought Hunter stood there crying in the bleeding angels arms. It was a scene to behold after a grand battle. But it was not the end. Merely the battlefield had been laid and the troops assembled. The real battle would begin in moments or hours, when ever the Keeper showed himself to them again, no doubt enraged by Jade's trick.

"Now we wait..."
The white witch whispered somberly, returning to her usual self. She had been helpless in the world of the dead, constantly tiptoeing around rules mortals could not break lest they meet their demise. But here, in this realm, she was powerless in a powerful form, but not helpless. Here she was strong to some degree at least.

The Hunter raised a single white eyebrow as the womans arms tangled around his tree trunk leg, her head resting firmly on a limb that likely felt more like a rock then a pillow. He drew the buckles on his pauldrons and set them aside, heavy spiked things, twisted and cruel, yet without them his shoulders seemed no less wide. Drawing his green cloak from his body he threw it over the girl and sighed as the night air whistled past his now exposed neck, his scale armor bouncing gold light in seemingly random directions with every movement he made cutting a rather heroic appearance as he observed the now weeping blue angel.

He allowed the moment to carry on for a few moments before he spoke, his deep voice had lost its angry edge, the fury he was saving for the keeper. “Angels, I did not think your kind would return to us for aid.” He made it sound like a question. The stories of Hunter stood up in the heavens as well, he had walked thier halls himself once, though it had ended it blood as it often did with the grey warrior he had once been a friend of the feathered angels. “I had thought humanity a lost cause to you”

His gaze drifted to the sword wrapped in a strange otherworldly black cloth, he could see the flat of the blades runes just under the thin cloth. It made him shudder right to his core, he was not even sure if he was excited or fearful to wield that weapon. He had made many attempts upon it and had always had to withdraw, alone he had never had much of a chance of retrieving it especially in a world where he could not call upon miracles such as calling lighting to his aid. He reached out with his left hand touching it gently through the cloth. In the far distance he could hear a far away rumble of thunder the moment his finger stroked the blade, the tip of his hand suddenly felt warm and alive. He withdrew it quickly.

His gaze lifted from the weapon to look at the white haired witch sitting alone regarding what he assumed to be her copy now fast asleep at his side. He could not miss the look of someone who had lost someone, so someone had been lost in the retrieval for his weapon. “Jade” he spoke her name with familiarity. Though they had never spent any time together he knew her from Hiroko’s ramblings, he had seen her often enough with the thin necromancer that had caused such a disturbance within the walls of the palace.

Personally he had never really seen the distrust that had been placed around the reedy looking necromancer. He had traveled into their lands before, aside from a few bad apples he had found them a good people though few between and thin of pockets. He was about to say something to her when he heard something strange, a second heartbeat. “Your with child!” he didst bother to hide his shock, “it couldn't be that necromancers could it?" He hadn't distrusted the man but he was no fool, he was under the keepers influence that much had been clear.

[ Aw ********. I accidentally edited this post instead of quoting it.... So now it's gone.

It was something to the effect of Jade being cautious with her child and Alice explaining that angels did forsake mortals, just that both her and the blue angel were fallen because of their parents' mistakes. ]

Hunters face broke out in a toothy grin that made him look like a wolf who had found the pen to the sheep open. “Who would have thought it even possible, undead should have no ability to father new life yet here we are.” He patted a toppled stone next to him, oddly enough it was the head to a statue of himself Hiroko had built many years past, It sat upside down as if mocking the man beside it. “Come Jade, let me hear the little miricles heart beat, gods who would have thought.”

He gestered to the surrounding area, the fallen corpses and building high fires, the general destruction in a world was now mustly ruled by the walking dead and their dark master. “A little life is a precious thing, in this world twice so. As far as I know no new births have happened since the collision of planets and the keepers escape, what is inside you is something beyond remarkable.”

The dark witch moaned gently in her sleep as she adjusted herself higher up on his leg, resting her head on her hand that gently pressed against his thigh. Her body was shaking slightly from the cold she felt from being so close to death, so emptied of energy and blood. But she was recovering faster than an average woman in her state of rest.

Jade felt her eyes soften ever so slightly as the Hunter invited her to sit near her, astounded by her pregnancy rather than appalled like so many others. She slowly approached, seeing the statue and moving it with great effort to her counterpart's feet. It was incredibly heavy without the use of her magic. So this was what it was like to be an ordinary mortal.... She frowned.

She then rejoined the Hunter's side and knelt, adjusting her body so she would sit beside him, her knees tucked under her gracefully, her worn and scorched dress fanning out around her. She held her hand over her belly and felt the child within her awaken from it's slumber it had taken up in the realm of the dead. A smile overcame her at the punch against her womb, it seemed the adventure held no ill consequence upon the child. She wondered if this was because of it's father's necrotic origin.

"When he's with me..." she whispered, a sad look painting her features though her smile remained as she took his hand that did not have blood on it. "He's more human than ever...." She placed his behemoth of a hand upon her stomach and felt her mind wander to the mortal Azya they had seen in the underworld... Where were they...? And why had her counterpart mentioned saving the blood for him? It was bugging her but last time she doubted her mirror she was proven horribly wrong.... So she had to trust her on this as well...

"We're both rather shocked it happened, as well, to be honest..." Beneath her flesh, the Hunter would be able to feel the child tumble and turn within her, a foot or head grazing the womb below the surface from time to time. "It's growing very quickly though..." Her tone was unreadable as she looked down at her belly and then back to the angels holding each other.

That blue haired one seemed too innocent for this realm.... She must have been new to it. Her sobs implied that she had only watched the destruction this realm held upon itself but had never experienced it first hand... The blonde one, however, Jade's friend, was amazing. How was she still able to stand and console that angel without her wings?

Her gaze fell to the glyphs and symbols painted out in her blood and the pools that decorated the outer edges of it... It was amazing that she even had the will to live after that much blood loss, and yet still she stood as if nothing happened.

But this was not true. On the inside, Alice was growing weak. She secretly prayed the Keeper would come and destroy their peace soon so she could serve her purpose to her master. She didn't want this innocent, blue haired angel to suffer more than she would have to... Cooing, she continued to stroke the angel's hair and whispered words of the angels into her ear.

The hunters gaze drifted to the sobbing blue haired woman, his gaze growing hard. She had done her job, gotten him this far, but now she was just dead weight. Angel or not the keeper was likely to eat her alive, she should run while she still had the chance, alas where could she go? He puzzled over what Jade told him, his thick fingers scratching his bearded right cheek. “Thats a curiosity Jade, I can offer you no answer as to why that is, perhaps it is simply that he loves you and strives to be better for you” he suggested with an uncharactersitic warm smile. “I will be frank with you Jade, Azya is not just a necromancer, he is a litch. That makes him a pure blooded monster, in any other situation I would have put him down before he could do any damage.”

He set a hand down lightly upon her stomach, his fingers were strong and hard a stone but the movement had been gentle and careful, his hands were the hands of a killer but he was also a sword master, an artist in a way. Everything he did was with purpose and control, even his fury seemed to be bent all according to his will. He felt a gentle kick against his palm and flashed white teeth as he grinned boyishly. “Your blessed, this little guys strong as an ox and he isnt even out of the oven yet.” His blue eyes seemed to lighten as he spoke, feeling this little life was having an amazing calming effect upon the old warrior. He felt the tension creep from him slowly, the death of everyone he had considered a friend had been hard on him even if he had not uttered even the smallest complaint.

“Jade...you should stay here...” he said suddenly pulling his hand away. “You are with child, this fight of ours...one way or another it ends with death...” He gave her a sad look, knowing she would likely hate the very idea of missing out on the end game. “If you die as does your child, Azya may be gone but what ever is left of him is surely inside that child, can you risk that just so you can satisfy vengeance?” she had played her part in this, that much he could sense, to threaten her life any further would be reckless.
