For a winter day the sun was out and the land felt a bit warmer then usual. Saphira had spent her morning scouting and flying, only because it had been so long all season since she had taken to her favorite past time. In the wintertime it was dangerous to fly for long periods of time and her wings were delicate enough to have ice form. Only once had she mistaken a long flight to the mountains only to almost crash land with frozen limbs and wings in the process. So, whenever the weather cooperated she found it her first priority to take to the skies and enjoy her gift of flight.
Once she had tired herself out from circling and moving throughout the landscape she landed in an open field and felt her hooves crunch on the semi-melted snow. Not only did her body feel rejuvenated from the the flight but her mental being felt more balanced then before. She let out a large sigh while now taking in the sun.
How many days had it been since she also felt the sun? Was spring a possibility at this moment?
She decided to not pump herself up with that thought and walk quietly along the field. She surveyed for any familiar faces but all she could see was snow. She was used to it being so quiet in the winter, so she calmly kept to her thoughts while enjoying the warm sun on her back.

He was still a lost being in a world of purpose yet he traveled on. He would not stop seeking a meaning to his life no matter how long it took. As he walked through the clearing he observed the area noting the way the sun was shining on the ground. Such a nice day it was the sun also feeling great on his back. He longed to meet someone like himself and hoped he might get lucky but he never did.
Glancing up from his thoughts his ears twitched and he heard a faint snapping of twigs. He slowly started to go the way of the noise wondering what might be out there.

She thought her senses were fooling her once she picked up the scent of another nearby. Could it be a visitor was approaching? She was cautious on if the creature around her was dangerous and kept her guard up as she continued walking forward.
She was in for a bit of a shock once she saw the red stallion approaching. Not only was he as vibrant as she was in opposite color, but he looked to have wings like hers, and many other similar features. He didn't seem to be charging at her or on the hunt. He, too, was very calm and natural in his movements.
She smiled lightly while halting her position, but only to be sure for safe distance. She had always heard so many tales of others getting tricked by the evil in the land. The stallion approaching did not seem evil, so she kept her smile large and her eyes on him. "Good day to you." She nodded her head lightly in greeting. "I mean you no harm, I hope you the same towards me?" It would be nice to have some company.
