Weapon: Rapier- A quick and agile weapon, designed for precise strikes to an opponents vitals. Lacking the width of blade to block attacks outright, Rapiers are better suited to parrying attack. A very high risk weapon, but with very high rewards as well.
The Rapier Matt turns into in slightly different to others, being double edged, which allows it to be swung much like a normal sword. Other than that it is much like a normal rapier, being better suited for parrying and stabbing.

Reason for being in the DWMA: When questioned Matt usually answers with "I've got nothing better to do, might as well spend my life slicing up Kishin."

Bio:
Matt's home life was never easy, in spite of the luxuries provided by his parents' wealth. Both are very domineering, and kept an iron grip over their son while he grew up. By their urging, he brought home nothing but excellent grades, but neither ever made an effort to acknowledged this, and only ever bothered caring when he brought home marks deemed unsatisfactory. Matt was enrolled in violin, fencing, gymnastics, boxing, and swimming lessons throughout his life, and though successful in each field, has hardly ever received so much as a pat on the back for his successes. Only during his successes was he ever seen by them, and during those times they were cross with him, he seemed to vanish from their lives. By these observations, it's safe to say that their love for him was conditional.
At the age of 15, Matt left for DWMA after discovering that he could transform his body at will into a weapon. This was against his fathers wishes however and Matt is now no longer welcome at his home.
Matt was quickly paired up with ((Will add name when have a partner)) a meister of his own age. The two are close friends and have several successes to their names.
Abilities: (Up to 8 )
+Death Weapon- Rapier: Like his weapon form, Matt is a quick fighter, relying more on agility and finesse to overwhelm his opponents. Matt also possesses the ability to partially transform parts of his body to metal.
+Soul step: Allows both Matt and his meister to send a burst of soul wavelength from their feet, enabling for quick bursts of movement in any direction (5 feet) and can repeatedly even if there is not solid ground beneath the feet of the user. The movement is so fast it is often mistaken for teleportation by many. Once initiated direction cannot be changed and user can still be hit whilst using.
+'Super' Soul perception: Very much like normal Soul Perception, but allows for observation of others souls even if they are protected by things such as Soul Protection.
+High-level Soul Wavelength Control: Matt finds it natural to adjust his soul wavelength, thus allowing him to easily match with his Meister. This allows for a wide variety of Soul Resonance techniques to be preformed with ease.
+Soul Resonance- Soul Needle: Matt's blade shimmers with a dark blue light, the Meister then preforms a stabbing motion with Matt which releases a Soul Wavelength in the form of a beam with a range of 10 feet. Notable is this techniques ability to pierce several enemies at once, making it ideal for crowd control. However, while this technique is powerful, it can only be fired in a straight line, making it fairly easy to avoid.

Personality:
Matt grew up in a wealthy family, and his personality reflects this. He can be apathetic and thoughtless, and often doesn't consider the feelings of those around him. He's shrewd, sarcastic and it takes a great deal to motivate him. This shouldn't be mistaken for idiocy, however. Matt is keen, manipulative, and possesses a high level of intellect, he has also proven himself resourceful on more than one occasion.
While he's definitely less than suitable for role-model material, his negative qualities still come with positive ones, as well. He rarely shows signs of stress in pressing situations, and is a capable leader if the situation calls for it. Though there are few he truly cares for, he's fiercely protective of them. Even though his actions usually seem self-centered, he rarely means to truly harm others.
