It was one of those days. The sort where you know that all things that could go wrong would go wrong. First, Ryder had awoken to find that his traveling companion, Tin, had eating the rest of their food supplies. As he searched the area, he also found that the Torchic boy had disappeared. Just when he thought his luck couldn't have gotten any worse a storm kicked up during his travels leaving him blinded by the sheets of rain. Now he was lost and cold.
He believed that he could never be more miserable than this. Tired, cold, and left without food. 'Why did I ever come to land in the first place?' he thought, feeling frustrated with himself for taking on such a task. Here he was, alone with his brooding just trying to seek out shelter through the now damp world. At least the storm had come to an end.
Ryder stopped in an open glade and curled up on some rocks, seeking some sort of heat from them. He was soaked to the bones and freezing. Perhaps if he just slept a little, maybe he'll get his energy back. Just maybe. It wasn't long before the world fell away from him and he slowly slipped into the world of dreams, hoping for warmth.

Tania, too, had gotten lost in the storm. She had been making her way home from the library when shed been blinded by the sdtorm. And in hopes of finding her way back to the lab quickly, had been completely turned around. She was headed towards the lake instead of towards Grayson's lab. Even in her jacket, the shadow mew was trembling. Where had the nice weather gone? It'd been cold, but this! She curled her tail around herself as she walked.
She came to an open field, and studied her surroundings. The rain prevented seeing very far, and she nearly tripped over something blue--something blue? Tania was immediately interested. Blue was her favorite color! She bent down in order to investigate. "Oh, its just a kid," she grumbled, upon discovering Ryder. "...Hey. Kid! You idiot! You're going to freeze to death if you sleep in this!"

Ryder stirred from his dreams of warmth by the voice of a girl. His eyes opened and above him hovered a maiden fair. He smiled softly. “Good day to you, milady. I hope you can forgive me if my nap here has troubled you in anyway.” said Ryder, groggily. The boy stood shakily. His body was sore from all the running and pained from hunger. Refusing to show that he was in a weaken state, Ryder instead chose to endure. Especially given the situation at hand.
“Are you lost?” he asked, sounding all the more concerned. If she was, then he would have to endure longer to make sure that she won't end up hurt or sick.

Tania took Ryder's hand, frowning in concern. "How could you sleep here?" She asked. "It's storming!" She paused, glancing around. The mew girl wrapped her jacket tighter around herself. "Yeah," she admitted, reluctantly. "I'm lost. I can't find the lab!" She shivered in the cold. "I came from the library, and it started storming..."
She gave a sniffle, tightening her hold on Ryder's hand. The shadow mew hated to admit it: but she was afraid. And wet. And cold! She wanted Grayson!

“I have traveled a long way and had thought this place was ideal for a nap. In truths, I would've slept through the rains had you not stumbled upon me...” Ryder gave the girl in front of him a quick look over. She seemed cold and soaked through. The young Riolu squeezed her hand gently knowing that she must feel scared.
“I am sorry to say that I wouldn't know where this lab is as I am just as turned around as you.” As he glanced around, Ryder caught sight of tree hollow that looked big enough for the two of them. “We should probably wait in there until this storm clears out though.” he said as he pointed out the hollow. “Shall we?”

"You would have slept through the storm?" Tania asked in disbelief. She shivered. She couldn't imagine that, the noise alone would have kept her awake. "Alright," she agreed, after a moment.
Staying in a cave with someone she didn't know was probably something her father wouldn't approve of. The alternative though, was possibly freezing to death. Or drowning.
