Ashia skidded to a stop, "my apologize!" she exclaimed.
"I didn't realize we had other guests in the Temple. Welcome! I am Ashia K'lia a bending student here. I do not know if the monks informed the two of you but there will be a festival tonight in the town, I hope you two can make it. It is quite fun! Now if you will excuse me, I am actually running late for an appointment."
She waved at the both of them and took off not giving them time to reply.

Ashia waved at the two boys before disappearing as she ran back home, knowing her mother was going to give her an earful for running late. She greeted people who called out to her with a smile or wave but didn't stop to chat. She saw the changes around her as the city was prepared for the King's festival
Arriving at home she was greeted by one of the servants, "your mother is about to have a chicken wondering where you are."
"I know! I know! I am here. Is my clothes ready?"
"Yes ma'am it is. Shower quickly you are leaving for the palace in less then an hour."
"Thanks!" she replied plowing into her room to get ready.
She was dressed and ready just moments before her mother barged into her room.
"I swear you will be the death of me child. Your father is getting a special notice at todays festival and you are going to make us late! How would that look to the king!!!"
"I am ready Mama."
"And much the better that you are! Come now, we must go to the palace."
The ride was uneventful expect for her mother reminding her to behave herself. Her brothers chuckled, while their wives giggled. She crossed her arms, she liked her brother's wives but she wished she had a sibling closer to her age, even the youngest of her brothers was still 10 years older then her.
The castle grew as the approach, lights, fire, laughter and music filled the air, the streets was filled with people, food stalls, games and all sorts of entertainment, the castle gates were open as the festival spilled into as well though nobility and selected high middle class were the only ones allowed in.
Once through the gates, Ashia stared at the acrobatics going on in the main courtyard, amazed by the display of bending and gymnastics.
"Ashia!" her mothers scolded and she straighten up and put on an air of disinterest, her mother nodded satisfied, her father rubbed his chin and mouth to hide his smile of amusement.
Ashia stuck her tongue out at her dad when her mom wasn't looking. The 'car' stopped at the castle's main door and everyone climbed out gracefully, her father and mother in front then down by ages so she was bring up the rear. They were escort into the main throne room which was full of nobility mingling around.
They were brought to the throne and the King whom sat there with his wife. Ashia and her family bow or crusty depending on their gender then rose when bidden. The kind made a grand welcome to her father and his family before dismissing them.
Her mother and father went to mingle with the blue blues while her sibling wen to mingle with the younger blue bloods leaving her on her own. She sighed and decided to go to the courtyard and watch the entertainment. Her dress was heavy and burdensome but she gracefully made her way out into the court and leaned on the railing of the balcony near the steps and watched the show.
(not trying to God mode but seems at a stand still figured this could help push things forward)

xxxxxWhile everyone was interested in the festival, the twins held no interest in it. That didn't mean they weren't going to it, only that they weren't necessarily caring about what all they were doing in their celebration or whatever it was they were doing. Medae definitely had no care, going so far as to walk on rooftops to avoid people, whereas his brother enjoyed the sights, sounds and smells from the festival below. Both still remained near each other even over a distance, each moving in sync with the other. Medynn wanted to enjoy the city after all. Medae had promised him this even if it made his skin crawl.
xxxxx"It's pretty cool down here, Dinnalwe. Feel free to join me down here," Medynn hummed only to sigh when his brother shot him a brief glare from the corner of his eye. Yep. He wasn't coming down. Oh well. At least he was near instead of remaining cooped up in his room at the temple. He would be glad for that.

Despite being a part of a people who lived very ascetic lives, Xantha did have an outfit for special occasions. Unlike her normal attire, the collar of the top connected to a ribbon-style necklace and bared both shoulders, as well as leaving the top half of her back bare to the waist. She was proud of the blue arrow tattoos that ran from the backs of both hands and flowed up to the crook of her underarm, as well as the long arrow that, while hidden on her forehead by her hair, was quite visible down her spine, and she enjoyed walking around with the symbols of her people visible. She was proud of who she was, and when people at the festival saw that there was an air nomad walking amongst them, perhaps it would prompt those who needed spiritual aid or advice to come to her for it. That was, after all, the reason she had started traveling in the first place.
Of course, that didn't stop her from enjoying herself wandering about the festival. She wished Zira could have joined her, but the air bison was not allowed to walk through the streets of the great city, apparently.

Kaji sighed, the dress clothes they insisted he borrow were stiff and uncomfortable. He waited for Xantha patiently before he saw her practically float on air back from where she had went to change."Wow. Xan you look amazing."He said with a small blush creeping across his skin. He held her hand out to her with an expectant look on his face."Come on let me show you a good time."He watched her wander through the croud beaming with joy and pride, unable to keep himself from smiling at her.'She looks so cute when she smiles like that.'He thought to himself before catching himself in daydreams of Xantha. Blushing furiously he shakes all romantic thoughts from his head and looks for a good distraction."Look Xan there's an earth bending display over there."

"Thank you," Xantha smiled. She hadn't chosen the outfit for how it made her look, having been raised to not make appearances more important than what's inside, but seeing Kaji's reaction did make her happy, she had to admit.
"Of course there's going to be earth bending here, Kaji," she chuckled. "We're in the Earth Kingdom capitol, and it's an Earth Kingdom festival."

xxxxxIt took a while, but eventually Medae had to join his twin on the ground seeing as some places were far larger and had less roofs to climb atop. Letting his brother enjoy some of the earthbending stunts, Medae had taken up an unamused posture that seemed to be ignored for the longest time. It was then that some guy tried hitting on him and getting his expression to change. Medae refusing to speak yet growing more irritable with every cheap line said knew it'd only turn into violence if his brother didn't intervene soon and yet Medynn was focused in on the stunts of the earthbenders.
xxxxxFinally hitting that point in his anger beyond help, the man got hit back several feet by Medae jumping up and slamming both feet into the man's chest nearing his collarbones. Having caught himself in a push-up manner then spinning, the off-white haired male stepped over to the guy now on his back. "I'm not a girl. Get that through your thick mushy sand of a brain in your head."
xxxxxDusting himself off, Medae froze briefly when he noticed the airbending girl with the firebending guy. Sure, they were never made publically known to the Fire Nation, but just having a firebender so near made him uncomfortable. Turning on his heel, he was about to head towards Medynn when he noticed he was already talking to a couple of earthbenders that were the law enforcers. Crap! This was exactly why he wasn't one for cities! Everyone had to be involved in everyone else's business. "It was a misunderstanding is all. Everyone tends to think he's a girl, you see, so when..." God. He couldn't listen to his brother making excuses for his actions yet again. Turning back around and lowering his head a bit, his hands flipping up the hood attached to his shirt, he started past the airbender and firebender. Medynn would catch up soon anyways.
Kaji grinned and at risk of looking like an idiot he grabbed Xantha's hand and watched the earthbending display."I mean obviously there'd be earthbending but I've never seen earth bending like that."He said with a smile before a hooded boy with feminine features brushed past him."I wonder where he's going in such a hurry?"He asked himself before grinning mischeiviously and opting to follow him xantha in tow."This guy has something going on. Whatever it is it's bound to be interesting."He whispered to her as they followed him."Just try and blend in and don't look like you're trying to be sneaky."

"It's an earthbending exhibition at an Earth Kingdom festival, what did you expect? Kaji, let go!" Xantha hissed, stopping and yanking her hand from his. "You may allow your curiosity to get the best of you, but I would rather enjoy the festival on my own if you're going to follow someone who obviously doesn't wish to be followed."
Kaji stepped back as Xantha hissed at him, for a brief moment pain flashed across his feature as if she had just hit him."Xan..."He said softly contemplating his words carefully."I'm sorry I just wanted to have some fun with you..."He said quietly like a child in trouble and he suddenly took a drastic interest in his feet."If you wouldn't mind... I'd like to... um, stay with... you."He whispered just barely audible above the sounds of the festival his coal colored eyes still fixed on his shoes.

xxxxxWhat started as an escape began the pursuit of the firebender dragging along the airbender, but was quickly halted when the man got chewed up and spit out by the air nomad. That definitely wasn't as peaceful as air nomads were supposed to be. Oh well. It wasn't his business and he could disappear without having to draw his blades and promising to remove the limbs from others for stalking him. Unfortunately for him, the further Medae ran, the deeper he went into the festival and the Earth King's palace wasn't quite as impenetrable as one might think. In fact, he was now sitting in a dark corner outside of what was one of those fancy parties his mother used to tell him and Medynn the nobles of the Earth Kingdom held more often than not.
xxxxx"This was a stupid place to go. Medynn probably won't even know I'm over here... I hate stupid people," he muttered softly to himself while briefly running his fingers against the cool stonework under his feet. Oh the consistency placed into such art. His mother definitely did not lie about it.
xxxxxRunning past several people, Medynn glanced over the heads of others to see if he could recognize his brother's hood if not his warpath. Stopping by what seemed to be an air nomad who didn't mind all of her arrows showing, he gently tapped her on the shoulder with a genuinely concerned expression although he hadn't seemed to notice the firebender. "Excuse me, ma'am. Did you see anyone wearing an odd hooded shirt with a dark shirt under it, a pair of dark shorts and dark leggings reaching just over his knee and brown boots run past here? He might've seemed a little moody even?" he asked while briefly holding up his hand to the height of his brother while describing his attire. Medynn wasn't holding anyone accountable for causing Medae to flip out, only Medae to tend to forget there was no living person who could move as fast as he could without using some kind of bending.
xxxxxMedae could slip through cracks most wouldn't think possible and very quickly at that. He'd gotten in trouble in the towers for doing that several times by guards meant to keep them there and their father alike. Unlike his twin, however, he didn't view the world in such a negative light which allowed him to be sociable and kind. Medae just withdrew from it, glaring from a dark corner at families being so happy and together while they spent most of their life in a tower watching the world pass them by. It was then his gaze settled upon the firebender and his body stiffened up a bit. Firebender... No wonder he ran off as quickly as he did...
((Wow, did she really come off as sounding that sharp?))
Kaji's sudden childlike reaction to her words surprised Xantha, and she realized she may have been a bit sharper than she had meant to sound. "Fun is fine, Kaji, but I don't think that young man's reaction to us following him would have been," she said in a gentler but still stern tone. "Of course you can stay. I never said anything against that."
When somebody tapped her shoulder, Xantha turned with a smile. "Yes? Oh, yes, actually, I did. He headed in the direction of the Earth King's palace, I believe."

Kaji looked up at Xantha with a serious look in his black eyes."Xan... do you mean it?"He asked softly before shaking his head."No don't answer that, I'm just being wierd."He said with a soft smile before taking her hand again simply because he enjoyed it. He watched as a boy tapped Xantha on the shoulder and asked her a question then watched him stiffen as he took notice of Kaji."You alright there kid?"He asked warmly before holding out a hand."My name's Kaji. What's yours?"

xxxxx"R-really? Oh thank goodness you saw which direction he ran off in. He's pretty difficult to keep up with especially if you've lost eye contact with him," Medynn sighed lightly only to nearly jump out of his own boots when Kaji extended a hand towards him, his feet instinctively skidding back a couple feet from him while two small swirling circles made out of water continued their small rotations behind his back.
xxxxx"Oh... Um, yeah. I'm alright. It's just a weird habit of mine to tense up when coming into contact with firebenders whereas my brother's first instinct is to strike first and ask questions later. I had a bad experience with one is all so I get nervous around them. I'm Medynn and my brother is Dinnalwe. He gets mad when he's mistaken for a girl seeing how feminine he is in appearance. And I'm not a kid, thank you. I'm actually nineteen so that makes me an unmarried young adult," he finally responded while cautiously taking the other male's hand into his own and giving it a light but firm shake. Just as quickly as he shook Kaji's hand, he reclaimed his hand and hooked his hands together behind his back. "So have you two ever been in this city before? I've only heard stories personally so visiting the city was something Dinnalwe promised he'd let me do even though he doesn't really like them and is the reason for us being here now."
