Gale was still looking at Stormy with what he assumed was a reasonable amount of suspicion, though it was difficult to maintain under the influence of JOY in the air and in his system. The best he could do was give her an exasperated expression tinged with affection.
"A minipet, I think," said Gale, eyeing the creature dubiously. "Well, I guess...if you wanted..."
It was kind of cute, though maybe something a little less fluffy would be better.

"YesIdoverymuchly~" Turning the foxfire to face her again, she attempted to bump noses and laughed it off when it tried to n** at hers instead; good ol' JOY. "Should we try rounding them up? That way we can help the poor Life people who probably weren't . . . watching and stuff . . ." And it just wasn't the Christmas spirit to leave the party like that!
Even if they were overly fond of biting her legs.
"Plus, you know, I don't think these poor guys are supposed to last long outside their cages . . ." Which made it weird that they were, all thigns considered. Eh, probably more JOY stuff at work.

It was pretty obvious that there was an invasion - Solomon's ankles were basically swimming in cute little fluffy critters - something liken to what he and Melvin worked on ( . . . ) and he couldn't help but prop himself up a bit so he could see Neva--Barbara a little better, giving her a wink and an air kiss.
"Well, maybe we can wrangle them up like cow --" pause, "bat boys. And girl." He offered up as an option, looking down at a little foxfire who was looking at him with the sweetest little look he had ever seen.

Gale looked at Stormy, then looked at the fluffy things, then looked back at Stormy again, his eyes lingering on the several that were currently bouncing around her ankles a little too enthusiastically.
"How about you round them up and then we go take a walk elsewhere," Gale suggested dryly. "Somewhere a little more quiet."

"Yes! Good! Excellent!" Wait for it-- "Brilliant!" she finished in her best Harry Potter voice, just as the foxfire finally remembered to turn to the side to properly n** at her fingers. Around the same time, several of those at her feet learned to climb her leggings and were beginning to gnaw against her shield some more.
". . .On second, thought, maybe we should let more experienced handlers get this," Stormy added very casually as she set the first minipet down and began prying the rest off. "A walk in the snow sounds much more like the Christmas spirit at work!"

Gale rolled his eyes, but he was looking at Stormy with more affection than exasperation.
This balance shifted, however, as the foxfires converged on her, and Gale spent the next several moments just attempting to help her pry them from her legs. When he'd finally managed the last one, he reached out, took her hand, and began tugging her away.
"Come on," he said, and then, in a slightly more exaggerated accent, "Make haste, make haste."

"Why thank you, sweet prince~" she cooed when Gale finished saving her, managing a little curtsy that made her antlers tilt and jingle.
Well, when the accent really spoke, one didn't ignore it; she'd been helpless against it since day one. "Now let's apúramos, apúramos~" Stormy sangsong, grasping Gale's hand as he led her away. The other one was used to wave at the remaining party people and the poor foxfires yipping after them in their wake.

And with that, the two of them hastily made their exit before any of the other foxfires decided to get any better ideas and start following them.
