Hello everyone!
Avatar contests are nothing new to Wolfaria and so for our first contest in the new guild I am sponsering a bigger and somewhat different Avatar Contest!
Normally in an Avatar contest there is a theme of some kind and you make an Avatar for yourself to enter. Well this time the theme is inspired by opposing duality.
I want you to make two opposite Avatars to enter into the contest. Save pictures of your Avatars you are entering and then post them here and tell us your inspiration. Examples can be light and darkness, comedy and tragedy, black and white, sane and insane, hero and villain, love and hate, serious and silly, chocolate and vanilla, cat and dog, etc. Whatever inspires you. In the interest of labeling for prizes I shall refer to them as 'Yin' and 'Yang'.
I shall be judging only and not participating but here are my examples. This all started when someone told me they liked my recurring 'white knight' Avatars and wanted to see me do a fairytale prince. Very shortly after someone else commented how they liked it but wondered what the opposite might be...

1st place prize goes to the best two Avatars together in a single entry!
There will be two 2nd places- one for a 'Yin' type entry and one for a 'Yang' type entry.
I shall also award 'judges prizes' to the 'cutest', the 'creepiest', the 'most amusing', the 'most disturbing', and any others I think up wink
If you want to add to the prizes or want to see some other ideas for judging criteria by please let me know by PM.
Listings/rankings will be posted below along with prizes and updates as I receive donations. I shall also give/list credit and thanks to those who donate unless asked not to. Donations are not a guarantee of winning anything.
Please Save your Avatars you are entering for the duration of the contest. Also only use items you currently own or purchase. Tektek is cool and all but it is too easy so it is not allowed. I want to see creativity and ingenuity, not how expensive your dream Avatar is! ^_^

Many people have been questioning how this works. Choose your theme (light and darkness, happiness and sadness, etc) make an Avi representing one of those themes. Left click on your Avatar. Choose 'save as...' to save picture of avatar. Do this with your second theme. Post both pictures and your inspiration below as in the example. Sorry for the confusion everyone. There's plenty of time and the contest ends the 29th and I hope to have everything judged and prizes handed out before the new year.

A lazy, gloomy, pessimistic witch who would rather stay indoors and do her spells in the dark which makes her an expert spell caster/maker but dependent on her twin in hunting for her spell's ingredients. (Doesn't care what she wears as long as their dark)
As the heir to a highly successful company and future owner to hundreds of acres of choice land, Vittoria was never content with her life. She was constantly bored with her opulent lifestyle, her lavish surroundings, her fussy family and superficial, so-called 'friends'. Always having to attend parties and meetings throughout the daytime made her restless. She longed for a change...to be someone else. Someone who was wild and free and capable of doing anything. 
Vittoria took comfort in the darkness of night, and soon discovered how well it concealed her secrets. In the night she could do anything, anywhere, and never be discovered. Armed with her own ingenuity and fighting skills, she immediately took to perfecting the art of murder. She got a thrill out of taking lives and knowing that the night would always be on her side.
