Zack thrummed his fingers against the steel desk. How had he been roped into this? He should be out fighting monsters, completing missions; instead he was stuck behind Kunsel's desk pushing paper. Putting together mission rosters sucked. He pushed the stack of paper in front of him to the side. Who used paper anymore anyway? Lazard had a super computer or something fancy like that. This was just inefficiency at its best, or punishment. He stood up and stretched how many trips had he made to the break room today? The small waste basket overflowed with Styrofoam cups and little wooden stir sticks. He rounded the desk and headed out of the broom closet sized office. He used the term 'office' loosely. He had the jitters from all the coffee he had consumed already but hell what was one more cup going to hurt? He swung open the break room door and spotted Sephiroth instantly.

“Heya General,” He saluted smartly and grinned. It was nice to see someone sitting in here for a change as he had begun to feel isolated; broom closet to break room, break room to broom closet never seeing a soul. He shut the door and swept the rest of the room with his eyes. Coffee? Probably a bad idea his hand shook as he reached for the pot and a small cup. He reconsidered and went to the refrigerator instead choosing a bottle of water. He unscrewed the small plastic top and leaned back against the counter and took a long drink. “Ah, now that’s the stuff, I guess.” He fiddled nervously with the paper label. “So Sephiroth… how do you counter act a caffeine buzz? And why don’t they have mints in here? I was looking for one on an earlier trip. You’d think with all the coffee consumption they would have mints, you know for bad breath.”

Zack looked up from peeling the label on his water to just catch a glimpse of Sephiroth sipping from his steaming cup of coffee. He let out a shaky sigh and took another drink from his water. "Hell yeah mints taste bad with coffee." He shuddered at the memory. Why had he even tried that? ... whatever. He reached out with a thankful nod and took the tin. "I wanted them for after coffee, you know, for the breath. Can't approach the ladies if I'm gonna have Bahamut breath. Anyway thanks a lot." He popped one of the mints and then a second for good measure and tucked the tin into his pocket. "Gaia Sephiroth how do you do it? You know sit behind a desk so much? Well not that you do... But it's driving me insane. Did you know I can stand behind my desk and touch the walls on either side, and there are no windows? I swear it's a converted broom closet." He set the half full water bottle aside and scrubbed both his gloved hands across his face and then back through his unruly black spikes. "Kunsel's a d**k. He knew I hate this. Cute secretaries my a**." He flopped down in a chair and pouted dramatically. "So how have you been Seph? I haven't seen you around much lately. Probably because I've been stuck in a broom closet huh?" He stared up at the ceiling feeling despondent.

Zack continued to stare at the ceiling. There were blotches of spackle that looked like Bandersntach if you squinted your eyes and blurred your vision just right. "Yeah, I guess. Gen wouldn't be caught dead behind a desk unless he could be seen doing it in a dramatic fashion. And having you stuck behind a desk would just be a waste." Imagines being in Sephiroth's spacious office with windows and probably a hell of a view, "I dunno... That's awful nice of you Seph, but Angeal won't even let me in his office anymore. He says I’m not housebroken yet, whatever that means. If I messed it up you might be angry at me or something. I’d hate that. Besides it's only for this week, then I'm back out on missions, where I should be. But who knows maybe I will take you up on it." He lets out a big sigh and stretches over the back of the chair and then refocuses his attention on Sephiroth, who was way more interesting to look at than the ceiling. "So it's the old 'if this trailers rocking don't bother knocking', huh?" A wide smile spread across his youthful face and his eyes were full of mischief. "You know... I'm gonna be lurking around your office door now to see who goes in and out of there."
