the two forces took a considerable blow, first came the seretei's weakened state and loss of most of its captains, then the desperate and sudden retaliation of the seretei that would throw the enemy off guard due to retaliation after a crushing defeat (won the battle but lost too much to actually call it a victory)
the counter attack failed and almost all of squad 2 was wiped out. say except a few survivors (kima), with it the seretei was down just another squad and its captain (Greed). without a true descisive blow, the rest of the squads wrecked havok at the enemies front gates and were forced to withdraw.
since then both forces have been at a stalemate (even though the facts make it seem as if the enemy has been winning, they were outnumbered from the start. so even now they are simply at a stalemate. and still operating...
sooo my idea was, the worlds hollow problem starts to rise, specially with the lack of soul reapers at the current time being available.
