The colt shook his mane, prancing around the quiet forest as he sought out a potential playmate. His family were around somewhere- they must be!- but he had wandered off on his own for a little while. Perhaps he had been following by one of his siblings, or his mother was close on his hind-end, but he didn't know... it was time for an adventure!
Tilting his ebony nose upwards, he sniffed the air, snorting slightly when he inhaled a bit of dust. Blinking rapidly, he shook his head and then peeked into the trees. There were shadows- sombras- cast by the great trees and the brush, and he even had a little shadow all his own that followed him wherever he went... as long as there was light around. Maybe he could find another living creature to interact with?
He whinnied, his high-pitched call echoing eerily in the dense forest. He waited, his ears perked carefully to listen for any potential response... after a while, he whispered a question to the still air. "Anyone? ...."
