I AM TRYING FOR THE MOON HUNTER The Hunter Name: Máiréad Fionn (mah-raid) Nicknames: Mae Category: Moon. The Weapon Name: Ziggurat Nicknames: Zig-zag, Rat-butt, ********, Dammit Type of Weapon: Scythe/Stave imbued with runes Former species of weapon: Jinn- subtype Marid Gender: Very much a Male Personalities: Máiréad Picky not Isolated! - Máiréad, or Mae, is choosy about who she likes, truly hates a few, and dislikes pretty much everyone else. To those she likes, she’s a ball of laughter, crude jokes, and almost inappropriate physical affection, to almost everyone else she’s distantly polite, snarky, and very waspish. Anyone making it onto her s**t List are treated to a tirade full of vibrant vocabulary learnt from the mouths of Irish sailors. As far as her weapon goes...Mae both hates and loves Ziggurat, the old ******** is something like an older uncle who she can’t help but feel affection for, yet is highly annoyed by him at the same time. Overly Compassionate - Mae just wants to help. She hates knowing that there are people out there who are suffering. She studied to be a nurse for that one reason. She sees people and can’t help but want to reach out, but so many times in the past Mae has failed to ease someone’s pain or soothe an ailment, so she closes her heart to the world while she’s on the job in an effort not to feel the guilt of that failure. She cares a lot though, don’t mistake her distance for apathy. Her compassion is something Ziggurat hates though, as he feels that it will only bring her trouble as it has in the past. Spontaneous - One could also call her Attention Deficit, but that would be somewhat wrong. She doesn’t have a flickering attention span, but she does possess a certain lack of forethought. If Mae has nothing planned she’ll suddenly get up and start dragging people along with her on some hare-brained scheme, they range anywhere from as tame as simply going to a nearby arcade or swimming, to as wild as trying out some new aerial moves she saw on TV with a trampoline and some bungee cord.. Helmets? What are those? You won’t need them!!! Bullheaded (aka: Stupidly Stubborn) - Máiréad inherited a stubborn streak a mile wide. If she sets her mind to something, she will stop at nothing. No amount of persuasion, coersion, bribery, threats, or physical harm will stand in her way. This of course leads to a lot of arguing with Ziggurat, who has learned to be the more level headed and flexible of the duo. This is both a plus and a minus, since Mae will always finish a mission (unless, yanno, she’s maimed horribly or dead), but at the same time, she looses all sight of pretty much everything else BUT what she’s focused on. Tunnel vision much? Boisterous - In one word...Mae is LOUD. She talks loudly, she laughs loudly, she walks loudly. It comes from growing up pretty much living in a pub. Her mother owned one and her father was a fisherman. She helped both parents, and learned that, to be heard over rowdy fishermen and roaring waves, she had to project her voice. It helped later on, when she was a nurse and dealt with patients who had lost a good deal of their hearing, and she never learned to turn the volume down. ZigguratPensive - Ziggurat is always thinking, always planning. He’s quiet only because he tends to observe and plan before acting. This leads him to argue quite a bit with Máiréad, as he finds her lack of foreplanning inanely foolish, and will certainly lead them to their deaths one day. For every plan Ziggurat has, there is a backup and a backup for that backup. Now if only Mae would listen.... Conniving - Let’s get one thing straight. Ziggurat is a Marid. He is by definition always looking to get out of doing something a certain way or somehow mess with others. The only reason Mae hasn’t taken to hitting walls with the blunt end of his blade is because he doesn’t mess with her too much, rather he has taken to convincing her to pull various pranks and such on anyone who has crossed Mae. Proud - Ziggurat is the best, most handsome, most clever, most powerful, most wonderful Marid/Weapon ever. That is what he thinks of himself. That is what he tells Mae he is. Everyone else is below him. Ziggurat’s high self esteem is something that aggravates and annoys Mae to no end. He absolutely hates when she calls him Rat-butt. He is in no way similar to those foul, disease carrying vermin. Combative - If there is one thing Máiréad and Ziggurat can agree with, it’s that anyone who gets in their way is gonna get a beat down of a life time. While Mae doesn’t look to start fights, she’s Irish. She can’t help but throw the first punch after insults are traded. Ziggurat doesn’t mind, infact he enjoys little scuffles, they are like a breath of fresh air in a life fraught with the chance of dying before the sun rises on the morrow, Ziggurat finds harmless scuffles almost like one would enjoy a video game. If no one gets seriously maimed then what’s the harm. Viciously Ruthless - Ziggurat will not tolerate any threat towards himself or his ‘charge’. They will be handled efficiently, and with as much prolonged pain dealt as Mae can tolerate. He does so wish that his wielder was more sadistic, he will happily take what torture he can deal. Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter? Máiréad didn’t spend her life afraid of the shadows. She was too well loved, too surrounded by raucous cheering and rowdy sailor song to pay much attention to the lingering shadows that she could see at the corner of her eyes. It wasn’t until she was fully grown and starting her internship as a nurse that she was able to take full notice. It was small things at first. Just slight chills and a flash of movement here and there. But before long she was seeing things. Blurry figures towering over a cowering child, grasping hands reaching for wheezing old patients in their beds. For a while she convinced herself it was the stress of the job. Every day someone she spoke with and comforted coded, life fading away before her eyes. So she requested leave, and was granted it, but when it became apparent that those things were everywhere, fueling the paranoia of sailors, causing terror and fear, Máiréad knew she had to do something, anything. She had to help. How could she sleep at night knowing these things were out there, preying on the innocent who had no clue as to what really was going bump in the night. Weapon Ability Make a Wish!! - Máiréad whispers a wish of protection to the glowing stone at the back of Ziggurat’s blade. As a jinn, Ziggurat can grant the wish, but as with all wishes to jinn, it can go awry quite easily. Type: The Barrier

I AM TRYING FOR THE MOON HUNTER
The Hunter Name: Aisling Fiona McCarren Nicknames: Lin or Fiona
Category: Moon
The Weapon Name: Lochlan Carrick Nicknames: Loch or Rick Type of Weapon: Scythe Former species of weapon: Dullahan Gender: Male
Personalities:
Aisling://///////////////////////////
What’s Shy?: Despite her hobbies, Aisling is far from lacking in confidence. There is enough confidence to fill Aisling and at least another entire human being. There is little care of what people think about her figurines, her clothes, even when she randomly dresses up in her favorite MLP hoodie. There is also confidence in her abilities to fight when needed to give aid, and if need be cheer on her teammates when they seem to be lacking in hope. The downside with her over confidence is that she doesn’t understand that there is a limit when someone should stop, or when one should ask for help. Aisling will end up getting herself seriously injured before admitting defeat or stopping and asking for anyone for help or aid. This stems from not only having confidence in herself but a bit of pride of not being able to do it on her own. Her confidence also allows her to display some bravery when it comes to opposing foes.
Socially Awkward: Living in the world of video games, cartoons, books or anything of that nature has made Aisling a little too hopeful and imaginative of people. She has no problem out reading, pulling a video game marathon, or out playing anyone in any sort of die-rolled game but when it comes to actually have to social interacted she finds herself running into problems. Its not that Aisling is shy, she is far from being shy and isn’t afraid to say something. However at times when she does speak it just usually comes out rather weird in the terms of either not being a part of the topic at hand (IE mentioning an episode of MLP while people are talking about a new movie), too much information, or something that sounds as if it was a line from some obscure book. She will continue going off topic unless someone stops her, or that the moment of weird silence comes in and she will respond with something else.
Hope Fixer: There is also an odd habit that she expects people to act like they would in her books or video games. She entrust that all humans are good, kind, and that things will work out like some fantasy story. Finding out that working for Deus and all isn’t anything like she first expected will be a shocker to her. In turn she will that things aren’t like stories and that she is falling flat first into reality. Aisling will struggle with it at first, be a little grumpy versus cheerful, frustrated, and want to fix the problems and faults she sees in people. There is a good chance she may not completely get out of wanting to fix people’s habits but in her time at Deus she will have to learn and deal with accepting fate some how.
The Thinker: If you think Aisling is the super studious girl who can tell you all the facts about the world, and she can do math in her head you are likely hoping too much from her. Not to say Aisling isn’t good with computers and making some cool website design, she just isn’t a super genius geek who excels in math or science. There is a good chance she could tell you everything that happened in episode 22 of My Little Pony however she doesn’t know the math behind how the world turns, or what happens to various chemicals when you add the, or even how many gallons are in the ocean. She reads books that are based in fantasy not fact. Despite all that, she does have a high imagination that allows her to think outside of the box. A creative mind does help her come up with random unique solutions to things or look at situations from a different point of view. Granted they may rather weird or something unexpected but they may or may not fix the problems at hand. This toppled with being a rather interested listener of other people’s stories (problems) makes her rather decent friend when it comes to needing a shoulder to cry on.
Lochlan:///////////////////////////////
Lochlan is a bit of a douche. For someone that Aisling could have imagined as a prince charming, Lochlan is not. He is more of a b*****d prince who if possible steal panties, pull terrible pranks on people and of course best of all scam people out of their hard earned jewels (no gold though Lochlan hates gold.) He tries to get Aisling to stop being such a goody goody heroine and to have a little fun once in a while like for once at least steal someone’s cookies, play a joke, or his favorite throwing a bucket of blood on someone.
Lochlan is someone who is much more laid back, things will come and things will go and there is no reason that he should fret over ever little matter. So when Aisling does it gets a little annoying to him. He tries to tell her that people are people, let them be despite her habit of wanting to fix problems or flaws that she sees in them. He would never actually admit to liking Aisling and will deny even under oath, however he does admire the girl’s confidence and bravery. Even though he feels she is an overstuffed pincushion she isn’t the worse person in the world to be stuck with.
What Aisling and Lochlan do have in common is pride and confidence. Lochlan much like Aisling wouldn’t want to turn away in battle, he helps feed her confidence by always edging her own (rather it be banter or insist in some mean way she can do better). He hates to lose and more so he hates turning tail and running away. As well he tends to motivate Aisling away from sitting all day in her dorm by edging her to go practice more and more each day.
Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter? Aisling was born in Belfast, Ireland. As a child she listened to all the stories about fairies, selkies, kelpis, giants all of the great myths of the green land from her family as bedtimes stories. So when the black figures started to appear as a child she thought she was special, someone who could see the fairies and to stop their little trickster ways. At first her family just assumed that their daughter had a rampant imagination and would eventually grow out of it. By the age of twelve they started to worry that maybe there was something a little wrong with their girl. There were times she would say strange things and have strange actions such as moving people out of the way of the way, blaming things that broke on them, even go as far as to say that they would haunt the bodies of those sick. With their third child on the way they decided it was time to move and settle into a new home in Vancouver, Canada. They had hoped that with the move that their daughter would get better however she was devastated and confused. She was devastated to leave her familiar home but more confused that such fairies still existed in Canada much like they did in Ireland. When she mentioned them she started to see the strain on her parent’s faces Aisling started to keep them to herself, watching them from the corner of her eyes instead of stopping or talking about them. There were the little actions here and there she couldn’t resist, nor talking about them when no one was around, but for the most part she kept it all to herself in her own world.
The shadows however didn’t stop her love however for fantasy, cartoons, video games, books anything that had a story Aisling adored them all. She would spend hours invested in them, and her family as long as she was no longer talking about the fairies they let her do as she pleased. In high school when all the popular kids showed up in their sexy prom outfits Aisling was dressed in a long pink grown and blond wig resembling Princess Zelda. In her third year of college, while working on a degree of graphic design and IT (one as a major the other as a minor) there was an incident that occurred involving the shadow fairies. Despite her years of trying to avoid them, they had destroyed not only her own schoolwork but had managed to damage one of the school’s computer labs. Knowing that saying “fairies did it” would only make her look crazy, and the thought of facing charges of destroying school property and the shame of expulsions Aisling took the only job offered to her. There was also the entire bonus of looking like a knight in shining armor and actually know what the shadow fairies really were and not getting the “she’s super loony” look when she talked about them.
Weapon Ability
Rapid Flame (Swift Strokes) – Much like the power of a Dullhan’s carriage or horse gains speed towards its target, the attacker moves at a quickened speed as the scythe glows with a fiery like flame.

I AM TRYING FOR THE MIRROR SPIRIT
Name: Pratima Nicknames: She has been called 'Tima' before, though there are no particular nicknames she is attached to.
Natural Ability: Reflective - Much like the mirrors she is based from, Pratima can make her body into a mirror of its own. She will gain the properties of a mirror, reflective, glassy, and seemingly featureless--except for the fact the mirror is moving and female-shaped. She can only do this with much concentration at this stage, though occasionally she can gain this appearance when she coughs or is surprised.
Personality: Unobservant - For a mirror spirit, Pratima misses an awful lot of what goes on around her. Don't ask her to find her way through a forest or anything--Pratima will probably end up walking around in circles for a few hours and not even realize she passed by the same tree about twenty times. She's also spectacularly bad at remembering features on people, and has a horrendous time recognizing people the first few times she meets them. If a ghoul or boil walks up to her and acts like they know her, expect her to do a lot of, "Uh-huh...," and give a lot of sometimes blatant attempts to get them to say their name.
Forgetful - On top of that, Pratima has the memory of a gnat. Thankfully, she does remember people once she gets past the facial recognition stage--for the most part--but that's not necessarily the problem. Did someone want her to bring a dish to that party? Good luck getting her to even remember the party! Pratima has gotten in the habit of writing lists, checking them twice, and pinning them in her bag, but then, sometimes, she forgets where she put her bag. She doesn't mean to forget these things--really, she tries--but her memory has never been that good and it could probably use some training.
Optimistic - Even though she knows she is not particularly good at what the other kids like her were good at, Pratima doesn't let it get her too down. Sure, she does get upset, concerned, and worried about her status, and her friends, and her abilities, like any other teenage ghoul would do. However, as soon as she thinks those terrible things, her brain chimes in with something to make it better. Hey, she may have forgotten the dish, but she did manage to cause an adorable little minipet to follow her! Maybe she could give that as a gift to the host to make up for the lack of extra food. She's sure that will do the trick.
Chameleon - Pratima is not particularly social. She's not necessarily particularly unsocial either, though. Pratima is a neutral kind of person who can deal fairly well with both introverted types and extraverted types fairly well. It is perhaps the one area where she is at least somewhat observant. Pratima tends to blend herself into the behaviors of those around her, sometimes to the extremes of pretending to know or like things that she knows very little to nothing about. This has, on occasion, gotten her in trouble or roped into things she didn't necessarily want to do, but her ability to deal with people on a whole is something to be envied.
Dedicated - She knows what she needs to do, and she will carry what she needs to do through to the very end, no matter what problems come in her way. Does she need to get through that forest? Jack right, she will get through that forest, even if it takes her several days! She puts her heart and soul into almost everything she does, no matter how good or bad she is at it, and that level of dedication is hard to miss. This dedication also extends to those she calls her friends; she will stand by their side no matter what silly things they do, even if she might tell them they are being a little silly about the whole thing. If it isn't worth putting her heart and soul into, it isn't worth pursuing.
Gullible - Tell her the sky's green and she might actually believe you (for a few moments, until even her observational skills will tell her otherwise, but hey, you made her look)! Pratima trusts people innately, even when it is not the best course of action to take, and so tends to believe whatever they are telling her, whether it be the honest truth or more lies than a little kid could spin. This can combine with her adaptability for the dangerous result of going along with anything, which could lead to a lot of trouble and harm to Pratima.
Innocent - It can be hard to declare her guilty even when she is duped into things, though, because her demeanor is generally innocent. It is hard to say if Pratima truly knows what "bad people" are like, or what evil means. She approaches the world in general with rather wide, curious eyes like a child, always curious to get better and to be less of a shameful point for her family. This is partially due to inexperience with the world around her. She was raised in a community of fellow mirror spirits and never really went outside that area. Worried about her lack of mirror spirit-like qualities, too, her parents kept her more sheltered than most children, resulting in her still being rather child-like in her innocence now.
Amityville might help her grow out of that faster than expected, though it is hard to say if the innocence will ever fully leave Pratima's demeanor.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Pratima isn't a particularly good mirror spirit. She can't create a reflection unless she's in a sneezing fit, she can't remember anything that happens around her for anything, she is prone to dropping her own mirror--a very dangerous thing for her to be doing!
Needless to say, her sheltering parents were concerned.
They wanted Pratima to become a bit, well, better at being a mirror spirit. It wasn't that she was a shame to the race (except she was in some ways) but her parents wanted the best for her and for her to actually be able to function as a member of Halloween society. They had sheltered her long enough. Now their Pratima was a teenager, and it was quickly becoming obvious that keeping her away wasn't going to make her time growing up any faster or any easier. In fact, if anything, keeping to just her community was making it more obvious that Pratima had learning to do, and was stifling her by not giving her enough proper experience ... as much as her parents were loathe to admit they were wrong.
Besides, even if Amityville still has that horrible reputation hanging around it, when they were a younger couple, Amityville Academy was the most prestigious school to go to! That kind of prestige doesn't disappear overnight, and if anyone would be able to teach their ... beautiful daughter how to do her job correctly, it would be a school with a good prestige behind it.
Pratima didn't necessarily want to go--unfamiliar surroundings were not really something Pratima enjoyed, considering she often had enough trouble with the surroundings she was already in--but she had little choice in the matter. But maybe it will do her some good! The new environment might help her learn how to be a little less of a problem when it came to actually taking after her parents. Besides, maybe being away from her fellow, more talented mirror spirits would help her feel like she was more capable than she had seemed at home.
Plus, she had never been to anything like Amityville before! Pratima was thrilled to know that there was so much more to find out about...
FEAR Ability: Fun House (The Mind) - Pratima focuses her FEAR to create an illusionary effect, making the world around her opponent appear oddly stretched and mangled. This makes it harder to figure out where they want to aim!
Of course, as she's just starting out, this sometimes backfires and she ... ends up making it easier for them to aim at her...
Oops.

I AM TRYING FOR THE MIRROR SPIRIT
Name: Xirena Kallisto Parthenopaeus/ Xirena "meaning siren or enchanter" Kallisto meaning "most beautiful" Nicknames: Xi, Xia, Kalli
Natural Ability: Mirror's Fortune - Xirena is able to practice the divination of scrying by looking into a mirror and willing herself to see what she is looking for. Doing this lets her sometimes see the future or answer certain specific questions or problems. By focusing on a person or place she can usually see what is going on around that person or in that specific location. She has been known to sometimes find missing items or people this way. Xirena has to know who or what she is looking for. Only Xirena can hear any sound from her mirror, for anyone else, it is just a glowing mirror.
Personality: Manipulative - Xirena is more than a little manipulative, she seems to have an almost uncanny ability to read people and situations. She is very good at hiding her real feelings and thoughts whenever she deems it necessary. In this Xirena is a talented actress and understands how to manipulate people and situations almost instinctively. Most often what the world sees of Xirena is only a part of the truth. Xirena likes getting her way and finds it amusing to work situations to her advantage. She sometimes likes to stir up things just to see what might happen though she usually has a reason for what she does.
Vain - Looking her best is always important to Xirena. She will take the time to always make sure her appearance is perfect. Xirena loves spa treatments, makeup and anything that enhances her beauty. She is very confident in her looks and takes care to make sure she never looks bad no matter the situation. It doesn't matter what event or situation she is in, Xirena won't tolerate looking bad.
Inquisitive - Xirena is very curious, she loves learning about anything new. She loves looking into old things and can spend hours on studying anything that catches her attention. Xirena also really enjoys people watching and can often be found observing those around her. She has no problems with looking into things she shouldn't and even spying if that is what it takes to satisfy her curiosity.
Secretive - Xirena is not exactly very social as a general rule and loves secrets. It really doesn't matter if it is her secret of someone else's. She collects them like some people collect stamps. Xirena doesn't share her secrets often unless she feels it will give her an advantage in getting something she wants. It is hard to get her to open up about her past and she is very good at deflecting most personal questions.
Intelligent - Xirena is quite smart and loves things that challenge her. She is particularly adept at puzzles and cyphers and will patiently spend the time to work them out. She isn't always logical in the traditional sense and her thought processes can sometimes leave those around her lost since she tends toward being a bit random. She tends to know a little bit about a lot of things, even information that can't possibly be particularly useful or can cause discomfort in those around her.
Playful - Xirena is rather playful despite her normally reserved nature. Playful however can be both good and bad with her. She likes to tease and mess with the people she likes and is a bit of a flirt with anyone she finds attractive. In fact, in a good mood Xirena displays a keen sense of ironic humor and can even be convinced to help with some pranks from time to time. Her mischievous side though sometimes makes her like to cause trouble so long as she doesn't get in trouble herself.
Temperamental - Xirena changes emotions and moods very quickly and with little to no warning. She is not extremely used to dealing with other people so she can easily become impatient or annoyed. Xirena has quite a temper and when angry is rather cold and vengeful. However, she can change that mood in a heartbeat if distracted by someone or something she likes. It isn't to say she isn't mad still, she just puts it aside for whatever is happening currently. Xirena isn't easy to figure out since she will insult easily one moment and then be happy again the next.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Xirena has been alone for as long as she can remember. She doesn't know why this is but her earliest memories were of watching others through her hand mirror. She has spent most of her life as an observer, detached from the things around her until one day her mirror showed her a new image. She had been scrying on a young demon she had found particularly handsome when he approached a place she had never seen before. Watching him a while longer, she observed this Amityville Acadamy he attended. Xirena researched the place and continued to watch it in fascination. She had never been to a true school, learning mostly from the things she saw in her mirror, so this idea was kind of exciting. Xirena's curiousity finally got the better of her and she came to the school to enroll herself as a student.
FEAR Ability: Y1 The Mind: Mirror Emotion - By turning her mirror so her opponent looks into it, she can trap one emotion from that person into her mirror, such as the person's ability to feel courage or fear. The effect is immediate but only lasts for a short amount of time and she must keep her mirror trained on the person or the effect will disappear early.
Y2 The Barrier: Mirror Shield - Xirena turns her mirror outward toward the attack. Once the attack is reflected in her mirror, she has a chance to reflect the attack back toward her opponent/s. The angle she is holding the mirror will affect what direction the attack is reflected in so she could possibly target someone other than the one who attacked her within a limited range.
Y3 Headlights: Mirror Entrapment - Xirena turns her mirror to face her opponent. Once the person is reflected in her mirror, she can halt their ability to move or attack physically for a short time. This can work on up to three people if she is using a mirror capable of holding all three images at once.

Weapon Ability Bird of Fire: Libby charges enough energy to create a warm aura that swells into the shape of a bird. The aura surrounds the being that is to be healed until the downy goodness heals the being completely.
