A summer breeze ruffled through the leaves above, sending them fluttering, one against another, and a long low shhing sort of noise could be heard above the stallion as he walked through the sun dappled forest. It was a good sort of day, a long lazy summers day, the kind where it was just nice to take a stroll, or to spend the day having a nap in the sun.
He had decided on the former, his coat was slightly too heavy to enjoy prolonged periods out in the sun, he was more used to the cold and heavy snows of the mountain range, but it was lonely up there, with only the wild winds and the occasional hardy hunting bird for company. It was a great deal more pleasant in the low lands, and although he had met few so far, he had certainly seen far more Soquili around than all the months prior to moving to the area.
Kuusamo was in the mood for company today, if he so stumbled across it, but really he wasn't bothered either way. A pretty face, that would be nice, he mused to himself as he walked, flicking his ears as he disturbed clouds of midges and shaking his head to rid himself of the small, bothersome flying insects. But then he wouldn't pine away if he didn't see anyone all day, that was how laid back he was. With not too many thoughts troubling his mind, he carried on walking, his path taking him to where the trees thinned out into a large circular clearing.
He looked across the open area before he stepped out onto the long grass, thinking to maybe take a slow graze to the other side and back into the trees again.
