Geno stopped in the door as he watched the reequip users circle the kid who used ice make, geno decided he would watch and see what was soon to happen. Geno watched as the reequip users put on armors and started to attack the ice make mage as they continued at first the ice make mage was doing good till he quickly depleted his mana the requipers started to beat on him but in a a moment they heard geno speak. " if you wish to gang up on a mage why not me." the mages examined him as he threw his sword to the side the requipers smirked and charged Geno as he stepped in and closed the range between the first fighter stopping the attack as he threw the shoulder hard into the mage leveling him the other two stopped. geno stepped in the second user swinging his blade only to have genos fist slam into his knuckles around the hilt the bones breaking as geno looked to the last one he took off out of fear. Geno calmly walked towards the beaten ice make mage and offered him a hand up when the mage looked ta him." teach me i wanna know how to beat them i wanna get stronger and i want to be able to bea--" Genos fist slammed into the ice make mages face throwing him to the side genos tone cutting the air sharp and filled with hate and anger. " Why so you can do to them what they did to you?!?! why do you people seek to move forward only to make an endless cycle of hate?!?!?! to beat them would only make them wanna get stronger and then it will repeat till one of you die. " Geno was shaking his teeth grinding, his muscles tight his own hate growing as he looked at the ice make mage and turned leaving him on the ground. Geno stopped at the door as he spoke again. " in this world a man doesn't choose what path he is given only whether or not to walk it." Geno continued his path back to the guild hall. Geno only had disgust for those who thought fighting for the sake of revenge was any true reason to fight

Entering Lamia Scale's training room, Toshi took a gander while making his way towards the center. This time Toshi wasn't really impressed, not that he would be the type to really feel anything towards a room like this. If he were supposed to be then he would have, but this just wasn't the room to be amazed by. It was a training room so it was bound to take damage from people using the room, therefore there would be no need for anyone to put much effort into making the training room "pretty". It was spacious and the walls seemed sturdy enough, although as expected there was some signs of force. Looking around he didn't really see any exercise equipment, he didn't know whether or not it would be weird to expect that sort of stuff was provided, but he didn't seem to mind that the machines weren't there. All it really meant was that Toshi was going to have to rely on alternative methods of training, mostly involving perfecting his existing spells. In the beginning though, that was probably what wizards were expected to do. For someone who had spent as much time as Toshi did camping all around Fiore, Toshi was surprisingly use to working with machines to strengthen his body. In fact, his whole routine revolved around it. Now if Valen had shown up it would be embarrassing to tell him that they couldn't do things the Toshi way, but hopefully he would conform to the new standards Toshi would follow in training. It has been a long time since I have practiced my magic. The way I am now I probably wouldn't last long. My accuracy has probably taken a hit considerably by my inactivity... I shudder to think of what he might say if he were here...

Toshi's right hand fell into his pant's pocket, the pocket on the right of course. What came out from it was a thin sheet of gray paper, it was a tool for the teen's magic. Toshi would then close his eyes, was he that confident in his spell's accuracy? On the inside he was actually worried, before he was truly confident in his abilities. His speed and magical power was nothing to scoff at, but the longer he went on without practice, he lost the killer edge that he had in battle. At some point he felt that he had fallen so far behind that he couldn't trust himself to use his other spells, unsure of the safety of those around him, as well as himself. And so he promised himself that he would only use his most basic spell that he was sure he had a handle on, and even now he wasn't too sure on that one. With his paper at hand, his eyes closed tightly, he calmed his mind. As he did, spheres of gray paper began to form around him as miniature pieces of gray paper were balled up to form said spheres of paper. In total there were five spheres. Taking a deep breathe, Toshi prepared himself for what would come next. His legs spread apart, but not as far as if they were in some grand form, a stance. The teen's heart was set on skillfully setting the shuriken he would make from paper, into the wall in a certain fashion. Back when he was at his prime, he could manipulate his paper so well that he could form shapes in the wall using the shuriken as if they were connecting dots. Slowly, Toshi winded up in his arm to the left. As he did that, the spheres of paper around him had morphed and transformed into miniature shuriken made of paper. Taking one last deep breathe, he swiftly jerked his entire arm to the right. On Toshi's command, the shuriken were sent hurdling towards the wall directly in front of Toshi, his back against the door he came from as he stood in the center of the room. With his eyes still closed, the paper shuriken were slicing through the air in the room, it was like there was no air friction slowing them down as they collided with the thick wall. Too worried to open his eyes right away, Toshi took a peek by lifting his left eyelid slowly. What he found definitely surprised him. The gray shuriken were lodged into the wall, and pretty deep in for what appeared to just be regular paper. A grin formed on Toshi's face as he connected the shuriken to create a perfect pentagon. "It looks like I may not be as awful after all, but I should still keep up with my training no less."

Toshi practiced some more with his paper shuriken spell, each time giving it more and more. Pretty soon Lamia Scale's training room would seem even more beaten as multiple holes were left from Toshi's spell. With more confidence, Toshi was beginning to consider using his other colored paper sheets. While the thought was tempting, he put it off for another time. Right now he was having the time of his life, although his face would show otherwise. Wiping the sweat across his forehead he prepared to launch another set of shuriken, he had more than enough to spare after all. As he went on with his training he began to think about Michael and Geno, but mostly Geno. There was no way Toshi could forget how the dragon slayer had worked so hard to defeat Michael, but with no avail. He had also remembered a little before that, when Geno had threatened the paper mage to tell him where Michael really was. Of course he couldn't forget his eyes, neither could he Michael's. There was also that thick and strong aura he had around him. It was like this label that screamed of his experience. Thinking on all of this was motivating Toshi. Outside of the training room he didn't want to think about it, as it was just stressful, but here he could put the memories to use. As the last set of paper shuriken in the wall reverted back to many sheets of gray paper, before they faded away, something stirred inside Toshi. Suddenly, Toshi's magic power burst from within. The wizard was all of the sudden covered by a light green aura, something he had recognized for what it really was, his magical power. The teen felt exhilarated, he had never felt such a feeling before. It was such a rush, knowing that he was still strong enough to form an aura around him. After watching Michael he felt a little inadequate, but now as he compared himself with him, he could see the gap in power diminishing quickly. It wasn't that Toshi had negative feelings towards Michael or anything, but comparing himself to the guild master was truly motivating, more than when he compared himself to Geno. Toshi grinned, proud of himself. As he did so the aura around him diminished, for the most part he was finished with training, but he really was expecting Valen to pop in at some point. Towards the middle of practice he had remembered that he was suppose to be training with him after all.

After a great deal of time had passed, Toshi was beginning to think that Valen wouldn't come after all. Perhaps it was better this way, he may have come off as some sort of expert trainer, but in actuality, he wouldn't know what to tell Valen to do really. Well Toshi probably could have told him to practice his spells, like with what Toshi did. As he waited longer in Lamia Scale's training room by himself he whistled. There was just something really calming about it, Toshi couldn't tell what it was though, not that he cared much. Puckering his lips he placed his tongue on the top of the bottom row of his teeth. The teen then began to start blowing. If you listened closely you would hear that it sounded of a familiar tune. As he was whistling he was laid out in the center of the room, his eyes focused on the light fixture above him. Toshi did make sure to put in lots of effort during his training, but he couldn't help but feel as if he should have done more. Besides working on that one spell and getting a feel on how it should be employed again, Toshi couldn't really call it a rigorous training session. There was no real reason for Toshi to feel sore tomorrow. And there would be no excuse as to why he couldn't put in more effort. He didn't need Valen, or anyone else to help him train. If anything, training with Valen most likely would have been more conflicting to Toshi then beneficial to the dragon slayer. The paper mage was easing to Valen's presence, but he still worked best when he was alone. The teen stopped whistling and stood up again. Once again Toshi was determined to train, but this time he would work twice as hard. No pain, no gain. The journey to becoming an S-rank won't be without obstacles, and to get through those obstacles, I'll need to work harder.

The wizard was back to practice, but this time he would train in a different manner. Using his paper shuriken spell, Toshi would generate spheres of gray paper with the assistance of his magic. As part of the spell's execution, they morphed into large gray shurikens, sharp and cringe worthy. Rotating at breakneck speeds, Toshi readied them to be launched. Before he did anything, he would move a little away from the shuriken, giving himself and the paper weapons a great deal of distance between them. What would come next wouldn't be too hard to predict. The paper mage had ordered exactly five paper shuriken to be sent towards himself. If Toshi didn't move then it was likely that he would get torn up by his own spell, the point was to dodge his attack as best as he can. It seemed easy enough, Toshi could tell where they would go since he was the one who performed the spell, but he would still need to work fast in order to dodge the deadly paper. The first two shuriken were easy, they only required him to sidestep left and right. His body would sway to the left, to dodge the first, before the second one was avoided because Toshi had sidestepped to the right. Behind him, Toshi could hear them impact what was probably the wall behind him. No time to think, Toshi jumped over the next two shuriken. They were coming in fast directly after the first two, only they aimed a bit lower to keep the training intense. There didn't seem to be a problem, but there was still one more hurdle. The paper mage's head jerked to the right as the fifth and final shuriken nearly grazed him. It was almost disturbing, how fast the shuriken were. There was no time to land as the fifth was like the third shuriken, directly after the one before. Turning back, Toshi would see the scattered remnants of his spell. They weren't in any particular order, which was fine with Toshi as that wasn't his intention anyway. Not good enough...

Minutes fly by and Toshi is still at it. Working towards perfection, or at least his concept of perfection anyway. His body was tense, as it was the first time he tried dodging his own spell, but after awhile his body became more fluid. His flexibility was beginning to show as he was able to dodge the papers with more grace. It wasn't like Toshi was a gymnastics expert, but he was good enough to keep himself safe during up close and personal confrontations, not that he got into many of those. After he had spent so much time in Lamia Scale's training room, he noticed a lot more of the battle scars the place had gained in the past. To Toshi, they were symbols, a testament of a wizard's strength, some of them anyway. Toshi wasn't the delinquent type, but the idea of imprinting his own mark on the place was a bit tempting. Maybe one day he would be strong enough to make a large hole in the wall, but until then he would have to resort to tiny penetrations and scratches against the walls. Taking a short break, Toshi sat on the floor. This certainly wasn't easy for him since it was his first training session in a long while, but if he didn't stop soon then he might go beyond and end up hurting himself. He was already going through mana faster than a good book. As he was resting he wondered about the new girl, Elly was her name. He didn't know much about her but she certainly seemed unique. Different wasn't a bad thing, in fact, Toshi liked different, but what he wanted to know was what kind of "different" was Elly. Would she join Lamia Scale? If she did then that wouldn't be such a bad thing. He remembered from his expedition of the other places here at Lamia Scale, that the courtyard seemed exceptionally empty.

The wizard was resting, but he didn't think he would train anymore for today. After all the effort he put into today, he was almost positive that tomorrow would be even better. But for now he wondered what he would do next. Perhaps he would go back to his hotel room he rented out. It would be a waste if he weren't to use it as much. The allotted time he had with it was running out. I should really start looking into apartments nearby the area...
