It's official! The Sims 4 has been announced by EA and has a release scheduled for 2014! The official site is also up but doesn't really contain much info yet. You can however sign up for their newsletter to be kept up to date with new info as it is released. http://thesims.com/en_GB/thesims4

I'm definetly excited. From the looks of the picture they were using to promote it, the graphics don't seem as good as 3, but that's just my personal opinion.

The art style used in the teaser image looks more like the Sim designs from The Sims Freeplay to me.

I think the graphics look better than the sims 3. Then again, I preferred the sims style of the Sims 2 than the Sims 3, so maybe it's just a personal preference. blaugh
Either way I'm pretty stoked!
EDIT: By the way, does anyone know what the symbols say on the left side of the page? xd

I can't find a link now but someone on the official forums decoded it and it pretty much said the same as all of the promotional material already in English.

.! I can't wait and I quite like the graphics but I think it's because it slightly resembles the Sims 2 style and I love the Sims 2 style
Hopefully I'll have my new computer by then and then this game will be mine !.

In relating to the 'codes' on the screen, it would take a true die-hard Sim fan to manage to decipher anything out of THEIR blabber! dramallama

My biggest fear was that the sims in Sims 4 would be way too realistic, but now that I know they still have a fun cartooney look without being too outlandish I am more excited to play than ever! The new create-a-sim drag feature is going to make creating realistic sims so much easier. Would be fun to post simself profiles once we each get the game. cat_4laugh
