Hello... Kitty here and I'm honestly a little nervous. redface Just recently at a funeral I've realized how much writing means to me and I discovered how young I actually started. Another thing, since joining Gaia... I've realized I'm kinda stingy. sweatdrop I love to think I have wonderful ideas and that a plot is genius, but I'm reluctant to share with anyone for feedback. I have one person I can go to with this, but I'm hoping I can find more friends through this guild with which I feel I can trust to share my work with. ^^

I write with the hopes of being published one day, which is why I'm reluctant to share my serious ideas.. I jump around a lot on poetry (I'm a perfectionist and if something doesn't flow just right I just leave it how I like it to come back to it some other day) and I'd like to try my hand at short-stories, but I'm just too wordy and my ideas too big to compress... sweatdrop

I think a lot, but my ideas usually go nowhere... If I actually voice something, it's because I'm fairly confident about it in my head. Please don't pick on me too much if I'm way off-base or confusing... sweatdrop Other than that, I'm usually just quiet altogether, but I'm especially silent in crowds. I'll work on it for sure, though! Also.. my grammar has gotten better, but it still sucks so forgive me if things are off. My spelling isn't much either. But that's part of why I'm here! I want to grow as a person and an author and I want to help and watch others grow with me!

I've self-published a few books, though they're currently in the process of being removed for polishing as my crew and I attempt to submit to publishing houses again (though you can still get two of them on sale this month--PM me if you want more information about that).

Otherwise, I'm a 21 year old college student studying History with the intent of becoming a high school teacher.

That's so awesome that you've self pubbed and good luck the the publishers. A lot of the time they only go through like ten out of their huge pile and don't get to the others, so never give up! Like they said from Galaxy Quest. XD I'm gonna send out feelers to publishers but I think I'll probably self published but we'll see how it goes right.

I am 19 years old, going to be 20 in July

I am in an art college in Santa Fe, NM pursuing a Bachelor's in Creative writing, and hopefully (if I am not so lazy), a minor in Musical Theatre. So you will see my writing pieces often?

Why did I join? I am tired of my peers, it just seems like they play 'favorites' and I am always not in their favorite so it sucks, so I thought joining here I'll get honest feedback and maybe compliments (if it is good). Some of the work I will post would be from long ago, while some will be new (my poetry...and it sucks...I am not good at poetry). I tend to write fiction and non-fiction so please bear with me.

Hello there, my name is PeachPuff and I'm a poetry loving snail! biggrin

I write not only for fun, but for my job! I write short-stories and fanfics, and I've been doing that since about 2013, around the time I joined Gaia for the first time! I've been a writer for a large portion of my life... since about third grade? I loved "writer's workshop" where we got to learn about creative writing... it stuck with me. Writing has always been the best way I can communicate.
