Gareth chuckled. "Haven, don't worry over me. I can handle myself... Speaking of which, I may have to skip town by the end of today." He said, adding the last part more to himself, but loud enough that everyone can hear. He was thinking of every possible city he could go to from here. There were few options, and all spelled danger. He was quite used to danger, but avoiding it was in his interests as well. Choices, choices. "So, my story happens to go this way." He said, walking out of the hospital with Haven and Sheila. "I am being hunted down like a dog from city to city because of money - I've taken a lot of it from a lot of people. How much, you might ask? Enough to finance me wandering from town to town for the rest of my life, or enough to settle down and never have to work a day since. Naturally, they all want me dead. I'm surprised they even found me. I mean, I FAKED my own death." He said shortly before noticing he was rambling.
"Anyways, if you two would like to help me in my endeavor of trying to not be executed, you're free to follow me. However, I do require a minimum of expectation. Tasteful, respectable, sure-footed, et cetera." He then stopped and spun on his heel to face the two women. "I also hold dear to my standards a totally platonic relationship, so I'm not going to go all gooey gooey lovely dovey over either of you." He then turned again and began walking. "I'll give you both some time to mull it over, but I have someone else I need to talk to in the meantime."

Haven jumped as Gareth spoke to her, snapping back to 'reality'. "O-Of course..." She listened intently to Gareth's story, a worried look coming over her face. When he was completely finished speaking, she piped up once more. "I'll go with you!" She cried out, surprising herself. "I-I'll live up to any expectations you lay down! I can do anything you ask!"

Shelia nodded in agreement. "You can count me in." She then thinks for a moment and looks at Gareth. "Is there a way to buy off those guys so they will stop going after you?" "I could "borrow" some of my cousin's money to help."

Gareth shook his head. He kept forward, and never bothered to turn to either of them. "Nope. No amount of money could ever stop them, nor do I want to pay them off. They burned that bridge long ago when one of their assassins put a 12-gauge slug into my brother's head." He said with spite. He then turned to both of them again. "If you're both coming along, I suggest you go home, pack what you can, and meet me at the southern gates in about three hours. We'll leave then."

Haven gasped as she heard of Gareth's brother's fate. Turning to leave, she stopped for a moment, tears welling in her eyes. "B-Believe it or not... I... I know how you feel..." She whispered, faint memories of her mother surfacing. That wreck... was caused by a drunk woman... Before he could respond, Haven ran off with blurred vision, her head down.
Bursting into her home, Haven ran through it to her room, throwing herself down onto the bed and screaming into her pillow. It took a while, but the tears finally stopped and the teen raised her head, sniffling and sitting up. Grabbing a backpack, she packed a few outfits and grabbed the picture album of her mom and the blanket her mom had hand-sewn her. Then she grabbed a locket her mom had worn when still alive, and exited the house, sitting outside in silence.
Well, you agreed to that rather quickly... Well, It's not like I have anything here to hold on to. I have no friends, no family... I could just fall off the face of the Earth, and no one would give a damn.
Haven sighed, bowing her head.
It's easier to be freed from misery... by giving up...
She paused, then hissed at herself, shaking her head. "This is no time to be thinking like that, stupid!" She pulled on her ears, growling. "God, you egotistical freak!"

Gareth walked over to Izzy's place. The small house still had that homely charm to it that he loved so much. Shame he'd be leaving. He let out a sigh as he looked up at the place. He wanted to stay. He wanted to be free, or normal, or whatever these people had. He wanted it, but he'd never have it. He walked up to the door and gave his loud and distinct three knocks on the heavy oak door. Zieda12 This is when I should step in because I need to help finish this dead horse already.

Izzy cautiously opened the door. Her eyes widened with excitement at the sight of her newest friend. " Oh! Hi!" she cheered, opening the door up wider and smiling.
