Tarlotte looks at Luke and Evelyn a bit blankly as she thought about how to respond...it seemed answering questions like what Luke had asked in a literal since was not correct, perhaps it was sarcasm or some sort...either way, she felt the answer she had in mind 'swinging sword in underwater' might go about how her earlier taking a figure of speech literally did.
she tilts her head slightly as she waits for Luke and Evelyn to continue speaking, seeing as Evelyn spoke to Luke.

  Sgt. Damewood, Luke. 2/5 Fox Co.'BlackHearts' Plt. Sgt. Luke crossed his arms and shook his head, then looked at Evelyn, pointing one of his hands at nothing like a knife. " I know~.... I mean... I... emmm... Tarlotte, you were tryin to mess with us huh?" Luke asked very nicely, now not angry at all.

Evelyn giggles and runs over to Tarlotte, splashing water with each stride, then throws herself down onto the beach next to her. "I wonder why he seems so flustered?" she whispers to Tarlotte, finding the exchange very amusing.

Tarlotte nods in response to Luke's question
"yes, trying to be messing with."
she looks at Evelyn blankly, not understanding what she was saying, it did not particularly make sense to her, but she did not question it at that moment
