Born and raised in the deadly wilds of Sleepy Hollow, Grin knows much of the plane very well and harbors a deep respect for the forest. He started life as a member of a relatively happy family with five siblings, but as they grew up their numbers dwindled, either claimed by the dangers of the Hollow or the promise of an easier life on another plane. Though some of his family still lives, he is the last one of them who has chosen to remain.
Grin acts as a guide in the Hollow when he can, steering inexperienced travelers and assisting those who wish to traverse its depths. Having grown up there, he has a great amount of understanding and know-how about forest survival, but he is not all knowing. A place like Sleepy Hollow is a place of constant surprise, and even after spending twenty-odd years of his life there, he doesn't know everything there is to know.
