Estica River, lush flowing water sang to the trees around it, feeding all life in the surrounding areas. The largest river in the lands and the most well – Known. Oh how Veneur despised it at the moment. You see this river presented a challenge to the lazy helix. It was simply in his way. He was attempting to make his way south, toward Harad. He found Forod much too cold for his taste. It took to much energy to stay warm and even more so to catch a meal, having to run through the snow that was just not his thing. No he would much rather an easier meal, one he did not have to work for too hard. Ever the lazy, lazy Veneur as always, too bad he didn’t have a pack to do his bidding for him.

So you see having to cross Estica River was a big problem. It was large, very large, which meant there would be a good amount of swimming done especially against the current so he wouldn’t be swept away in the matter. A sigh escaped the frustrated brute while his rump found the floor of the forest. Oh what to do, what to do? Lifting his head a little higher he looked left, then right, slowing turning his head but seeing no way in which he could just waltz across like he was so hoping.

Veneur might be lazy but he was no village idiot. He actually had a pretty hearty brain in side that pretty little skull of his. Surly the animals in the area crossed this obstacle somehow. After all not all animals could swim, so how did they do it? Was there some secret he just didn’t know? There had to of been. Yes he knew most animals could swim, and swim rather well. But what of those who couldn’t? They couldn’t just stay on this side of the river forever, never knowing what lies beyond the other side!

He did know what was on the other side, or at least bits of it. The male was born in the south but his father came to claim him as a pup and hauled his butt back up to the north for some “training”. Like that did him any good. The old wolf could not have possibly swum with the young Veneur in his mouth across this thing in front of him. And so more and more frustrated grew the brute as his ears flattened and tail flicked with and iterated twitch.
