This RP takes place in the near future, where every planet has been discovered and walked on by the governments of Earth. About 30 years before 3019, a brutal war broke out where the Cardinal government, a small nation which cleverly defeated the other nations, took over control of planet Earth. Long since has the ozone layer been destroyed, and a bubble envelops the Earth. Recently, the Cardinal government has shifted all of the land together, to form Pangea, but of course without all the land pieces shifting together like a puzzle anymore. They are experiencing one problem, however, and that is over-population.
Now, the Cardinal Government was extremely intelligent, scientifically and socially, and was also somewhat Machiavellan in their methods. So, during the night time, they would send out their elite Assassins, the Cardinals. These Cardinals would inject a persons soul into a game, rendering their body lifeless until the person deemed to have their body back. A realm was created, in space, where the 'Players' were sent. Their soul was sucked via a needle into a capsule, and plugged in at the Cardinal HQ. The players were sent to a space planet of sorts, and no one quite knew where it was located.
This space station gives the soul a physical manifestation of what they want; magic, armor, guns, weapons, martial-arts spec, etc. The players are then sent into this space realm, a container in which all souls are held. This spacestation, as it shall be called Valkyrie, is a battle ground. You battle for your spot in the limited environment of Earth. The outer ring of Valkyrie is completely neutral, souls are not allowed to fight there. This ring has allowed Merchant Shops to be formed, to purchase various upgrades as they defeat their opponents in the Battlegrounds. Now a bold crater can be seen through windows of the Neutral Ring, that leads to a central tower. Explosions, bright flashes of light, and blood are seen in mass quantities. From either direction, the order of environments you must go through are;
