Everyone of Escar has no awareness of a hidden race outside of Lionia's territories, a race of wolf people who gave the planet her life, her fertile ground where Escarans would grow their gardens, the beautiful pastels of her wildflowers, and the healthy clans of wild animals the Escarans took pleasure in hunting.

And, once every year at summer's end, when the brisk cold of autumn blew his wind, they came together to celebrate their existence, and to give thanks to the Escarans that allowed them wondrous lives.

Ilsed de Luenas Flura, the Island of the Lunar Flowers, had sheltered its flowers in exchange for the fiery colors of fall this year. Wisps of reds, browns, and yellows danced like faeries upon her green carpet as Anaiyu, the descendant of Amaderazu de Saeris Galeiy, strode about the island decorating the tree branches with lanterns and silk-woven dreamcatchers.

It was that time of year again, and with all hopes in the world she dreamed of meeting people other than her Saeris race. Anaiyu had been sheltered all her life, and for now, at her 20th year of age, she would finally get a chance to meet other people.

Around her the Saeris people were at their work, the artisans preparing their tables and laying out their goods, while others prepared the food: recently hunted peccary, a turkey, a large bull caribou, and rabbits and pheasants. With their collection of meats they also had platters of fruit to share, apples, oanges, pears, cherries, grapes, anything their guests of honor could have. Bowls of rich greens lined the guest table, salads to welcome Escar.

"Mind the totem, my people!" an elder in red and gold called as the Saeris worked diligently to ready the festival. "We need not mask our ancestors' proud storytelling gift."

"Amadi-danna," Anaiyu smiled softly. (("-danna" is a Saeris term for one who knows the world and its works.)) "I believe our people are aware of that. They're just eager to please Escar, nothing more."

The old wolf chief smiled, his aged face warming with a big smile, and his darkened amber eyes twinkling in the sunlight. He told Anaiyu, "My child, I only mean to remind them. They forget to take the steadier pace for perfection."

"If you say so," Anaiyu regarded her elder fondly. Amaderazu was the closest to a grandfather and a father figure for many years. Her true grandfather and her father were killed in a hunting accident by a Kodiak, but instead of pursuing revenge upon the Bear Clan, the Saeris people simply forgave their close allies, deciding that the two were taking risks during the hunt.

Anaiyu sighed as she averted her attention to the decorations that lined tree branches like a spider's weave. She smiled softly, appreciating her people's hard work.

"Now I believe you need to get in costume, my dear," Amaderazu told her. He added with a wink, "Wouldn't want the gentlemen to be disappointed, now would you?"

"No!" Anaiyu cried in delight. She grinned, laughing softly as she scampered to Amadi's large hut hidden in the canopy of evergreens. She called back, "Who knows, maybe I'll find me a great suitor!" Amaderazu shook his head s he laughed still. He could only hope so for the people's treasure. He could only hope so...
