A snarl loosed from Nuu'l's maw as he threw himself against the trunk of a tree. He kept ramming, slashing and mauling the tree in a rage, not even noticing the injuries he was getting- and the ones he previously had a traitorous part of his mind reminded him. This continued for a while until he finally let out an angry roar and dropped to the ground. He lay there panting, chest heaving from exertion and rampant emotions. He grit his teeth and lashed out at the dirt in a desperate attempt to release the ANGER built up in his chest.

He hated every one. He hated every one and he was glad he did. Others only brought pain with them.

He was sick of pain. He was sick of weakness. He was sick of feeling useless. He was sick of being either ignored or mistreated.

The young lion thrashed against the ground in rage, an angry scream echoing through the trees as he screwed his eyes shut and pretended that he didn't feel the wet tracks starting down his face.

The Jedi had more members than he remembered, Majanga thought as he went deeper into the jungle. His number was diminishing. The pupil he had trained since cub had betrayed him and joined the Jedi. There was part of him that was convinced that either the Jedi would not accept his old apprentice or his old apprentice would return to him after realizing that he was not meant for the Jedi. It had been about a year since his old apprentice left him. Normally after an apprentice's death, or in the last case, betrayal, he would get a new apprentice right away. However the rule of two wasn't looking like the best strategy. The rule of two was what his master taught him. It had followed generation after generation of Sith. Majanga had never strayed away from Sith tradition until now. If he followed the rule of two, he felt that the Sith would not stand a chance against their enemy. Time for change was upon him and he needed to decide fast what he needed to do.

A smashing, snarling sound took him out of his thoughts. He listened and started walking toward the scream, though he stayed his distance. What he saw intrigued him at first. He saw a young brown lion. The moment he saw him, he could see the anger dwelling inside him. A bright flame of hatred that he felt he could mold into something he could use. However as he looked at the young lion he couldn't help but see a similarity between him and the young Jedi who took his old apprentice from him. Could this be a young Jedi who lost his way? Or was it a mere coincidence. It didn't matter to him either way.

“Do you think you've destroyed enough trees?” Majanga called out and he began to ascend toward the young lion. His eyes lowered as he looked at the lion. He preferred getting his apprentices when they were younger, when they were cubs. However this lion had something the others didn't have. He already had hatred flowing through him. Unlike others he did not need Majanga's motivation to feel his true emotions.

However raw emotions were harder to control. Majanga knew that better than anyone. If this lion was trainable he could make an excellent apprentice and enemy of the Jedi.

When he heard the voice, Nuu'l practically launched himself of the ground. He took a vicious swipe across his eyes with the back of his paw, attempting to destroy any evidence.
Crying is a sign of weakness.
He glared at the large lion before him. Unbeknownst to him, his eyes were still red and slightly puffy. But non the less, he stood his ground against the adult stranger.
"What do you want old man?" Hate was dripping from his voice and a sneer pulled at his lips. That tone would have gotten him a 'lesson' at home. But he wasn't home and this is a stranger, so he could talk however he wanted to. It helped the pain go away.

Had the young lion been... crying. He lacked control of his emotions. Once he learned to control them though, his emotions could make him stronger, he thought. Majanga almost laughed when the young lion glared at him. He wouldn't allow the young lion to glare much longer. Those who could not respect their superiors were not worth his time.

“Old man?” Majanga repeated, with a hollow laugh. He kept his distance still from the young lion, but started walking around him in a circle. How youth perceived the old always baffled him. His own Sith Master never seemed old to him, well that is till near the end of his days, but than again Majanga probably just thought he was old because he knew his Master would be coming to an untimely death. “The young should respect their elders, even elders they do not know. Now tell me boy, where do you come from.”

He stood still, his eyes watching what the lion would do. His claws were extended, just in case the young lion was fullish enough to attack him. Majanga had always felt that physical violence was not always the answer. He knew this idea was different than the Sith that became before him. However he did occasionally resort to violence and even now he was ready to strike if needed.

Nerves began to crawl as the older lion laughed and began to circle him. The look in his eyes reminded him to much of his father, and that cowed him slightly. But this lion was NOT his father, he could fight back if he needed to. Which loosened his tongue.

"That rule was made by old people, why should I listen to it or anything you have to say?" The angry sneer pulled at his face again. "I'm not telling you anything."

The anger and pain sang inside him. It made his ears ring and his limbs tense. But, no matter how many times he told himself that this lion was not his father- that he was allowed to let these angry words steal away some of his pain- he still braced himself for the blows that were sure to follow.

Now this, this was interesting. By the time he gotten to Drox, Drox had been already a bit broken. His anger had been masked by his loneliness. To him it was his fault his parents abandoned him, not his parents. If he had been a better son they would have kept him. This lion however was different than Drox. That was clear to see. He seemed to be just as broken, but that didn't stop him from lashing out. His anger wasn't buried deep within him, but on the surface.

“Aw yes why should you have to listen to me, when youthful thinking makes you believe you are always right, that you are invincible and unstoppable. Old lions like me have nothing to offer the youthful thinkers now do we? There is no power we know, that the youth does not. There is no wisdom that I can provide you, no skill I can teach you that you can't teach yourself.” Majanga spoke each word carefully and deliberately. His eyes stared at the young lion, watching the flame burn within him. “The old only want respect to know the young are ready to learn.”

“I have raised many lions like you, yet so different from you. Ones who wanted to prove themselves, others wanted revenge. None of them quite had the spark that you have.” Majanga said, thinking back on his apprentices. “I would be interested in seeing how you would fare as my pupil. I can help free you from the burdens you have. My life has been dedicated to an art form that is fueled from emotions, emotions you lack any control of.”

He waited, but the hits never came. Nuu'l was shocked and a bit shaken. The pain never came, and older lion spoke of wisdom and how the young earned it through respect. Then the lion began to speak of training, of past apprentices, of how he was DIFFERENT...

Of how he could learn to harness and control the emotions that raged inside his being.

Maybe then he could make all of the pain go away.

He forced his sneer down to a frown and his glare gained a questioning sheen to it. He gave a strained bow of his head to the elder lion.

"I am... interested in what you have to say."

Interested? He could work with that. Knowledge was power after all. “I am a follower of the force. The force is what gives us strength and gives life. It is said that those who master it have powers that rival the gods. I am one of those who have mastered it. It is my duty to teach what I have learned to those willing to be taught.” He explained. “I have tried to teach many pupils, but none seem to be able to handle a power such as the force and I grow weary searching for a proper student who is eager to learn.”

He was curious if this lion had the strength to handle it or if he would end up a failure like all the rest. “I have dedicated my whole life to the force. I have suffered much, but have gained more than I could have ever hoped for. Now, if you would like, you may join me. You can follow me and I will tell you more about the force and the strength you could gain from it. Or you can stay here and allow yourself to slowly be consumed by the hatred you cannot even control. The path you choice is yours.”

He watched the lion as he waited for an answer. Even if he said no to his offer, Majanga would come back. The young lion was much too interesting to just throw away like that. Even those who were broken were fixable, though sometimes they required to be damaged even more to repair them the way they needed to be fixed.

The Force? Nuu'l had never heard of that before, if the lion had been anyone else he would have laughed in their face. But this one. Even through his anger and pain he could feel something about this lion. It was like the presence his father gave off, except, not the same. In the older lion he could feel... Power? Well, that one was for sure, but there was something else he couldn't place at this point in time.

He was right though, this lion was not his father. His father wasn't as strong as the one before him.

He didn't bristle or even flinch when the other spoke of his unbridled hatred consuming him. He already knew that. The way it never left, screamed and thrashed in his mind no matter how much he tried to vent off. It was already trying to strangle him. All the beatings from his father, the absolute denial his mother had of his existence. His father's taunting voice, saying that he would never amount to anything. That he was useless and a waste of life.

Not anymore.

He looked the lion straight in the eyes, his own steely with determination, a fire burning bright from deep within.

"I wish to learn if you are willing to teach."

He's done being weak. Done being useless and in pain.

It stops now. All of it.

It was nice seeing everything fall in place. He needed a apprentice and before him stood one he could mold into perfection. “Then come along. I will tell you more and I will test you. Only if you interest me will I let you be my apprentice though. I do not want an apprentice who will fall apart at the first sign of danger. I need one who can give pain and take it.” He spoke now more coldly. “If you do impress me I will teach you as much as I know.”

He would make sure this lion succeeded. Failure would not be an option in his case. That wouldn't mean the test would be easy to pass, quite the opposite. Majanga wanted to make it harder for him to pass, to push him and motivate him to be better than his current state. This lion would be the starting point for his recruitment of others into the Sith. He would need a hand to bring in more. Really, finding this lion, this blessing, was what was going to start the war against the Jedi. Majanga had every intention of using this lion to help further his cause. He was interested in seeing how the game would play out now. Which piece would the Jedi bring out once his new apprentice was ready?
