Things were on the better side for now. He hadn't gotten in a fist fight with anyone lately, and Felix was actually finding the good scraps to eat. Tail flicking as the shirtless male walked around, he stretched his arms above his head and looked at the crowded mall front. He wasn't allowed in it; humans didn't like cats in the mall, apparently, but still. Sometimes a human would drop food for him and gave him water. Every now and then he'd feel the amazingly cold air from inside, so he was pretty content with staying where he was.
The white cat with the red eyes was flopped over on his side, enjoying a big portion of a chicken sandwich a human gave him. It was still warm, and covered in mayonnaise, but it was still good. He could deal with the gross condiment if only for the bread and meat. A song, a weird song, was playing from the mall and it was getting stuck in his head.
"... is in my so- ah - oh - a -oh - a -oh~" He sang along with it. It'd been playing so much he memorized some of the words. He wasn't a great singer, but he wasn't completely horrible.

Oh, the mall... how it was the best thing ever built. True, she wasn't allowed inside, but it didn't stop her from glancing at the wares inside through the windows. Kitty doesn't really remember what started her fascination with the building with a large collection of stores in it. Maybe it was the smell of the food, or perhaps it was the variety of clothes? Whatever it was, she found it exhilarating and she could stay out here all day and every day, that is, if the humans would even allow her too.
Knowing not to linger at one window for too long, her fluffy tail flicked before she turned and walked down the sidewalk to the next one. Food would soon be her next, new priority, but at the moment, she wanted to look through one more window before she started her 'hunt'.
Along the way, something on the side of the sidewalk caught her attention, causing her ears to perk up. At first, she thought it was one of those homeless humans she had heard rumors of, but something told her that the humans wouldn't allow one of them to be outside the mall, at least, not at this time of the day. Curious, she moved closer and as she did, she could pick up the sound of the other singing. Well, at least it wasn't terrible at it. When she got to a good enough distance, she leaned over to get a better look at what, or who, was lounging on the floor. Her eyes widened at what she saw. It was another cat. Not so nervous anymore, she took a few more steps toward the other. "You know, you shouldn't just lay on the floor like that."
