Yoki continued to walk across the blazing hot rogue lands, it felt forever since she had seen anyone that didn't growl at her and chase her away. She had come across a very kind lioness not to long ago, but at the moment it seemed like eons ago. Yoki wasn't sure why she was craving to talk to some one so badly, but she had a feeling it had to do with the blazing heat and her recent lack of water consumption. Regardless of her situation the female hyena trodded on happily, even humming everyonce and a while. Yoki finally came across a mouse Oh goody! Something to eat! The happy hyena thought to herself as she jumped after the small prey, chasing it for a little while before her paws closed on it. "Yes!!!" Yoki was glad to have caught a small bite to eat, at least that is what she thought she had caught. When Yoki opened her paws she found out something else entirely. For trapped between her paws was a little leaf that had been blowing in the hot wind. Yoki realized the heat was causing her to halusinate and her heart dropped. "Aw man... This isn't good..." Yoki knew if she didn't get more water or cool off soon she would begin to halusinate more.

Mkai's ears perked as she heard a rustling in the grasses near where she laid. she lifted her head but tried her hardest to stay under the tiny bush that provided a bit of shade and a semblance of relief from the heat. There weren't many of creatures out and active when the sun was still so bright in the sky, so she was very surprised to see another hyena chasing a tiny leaf.
Mkali's curiosity was peaked so she padded lightly over to the other creature to see what was so interesting about this leaf. As she came closer she other female she could hear her muttered words and it made her quite confused. "Um, I'm not sure if that would exactly will your belly. Are you alright?" she asked meekly as she comes up beside the stranger with her head lowered and her ears down close to her head hoping not be taken as threatening.

When Yoki heard another voice she instantly perked up, a bright, happy smile now on her face. Yoki looked at the pink female hyena, glad to finally have some more company on her long journey, she enjoyed it when her path crossed with others, especially now. "Yep, Yep! I'm all fine, just a little thirsty is all. Thank you for your concern though." Only after speaking did it occurre to Yoki that this may be a halusination as well, but, after a moment of thought, Yoki desided she was happy for the company either way. Besides, the hyena seemed very friendly and appeared to mean her no harm, so what reason did she have not to enjoy the company?
"Oh! I'm sorry, I'm kind of out of it today and forgot to introduce myself." Yoki's voice was happy and dripped with energy, witch was her way to try to get the other hyena to worry about her less, even if she was a halusination. "I am Yoki, a happy traveler on my way to my new clan. May I ask what your name is ma'am?" Yoki's tone mixed with her calling the pink hyena ma'am made her seem like a pup, but in reality she was probably the same age, or perhaps just a little younger than the other rogue.

Mkali jumped a bit, startled by the borderline hyper activity from the odd new female. She pranced a bit in place since it made her a bit unsure about the situation. She wasn't used to being around others much and she was unsure how to react."Um.... um.... Alrighty then. If you're sure that's all. My name's Mkali Zawadi." She made a little bow to her new acquaintance. "But.... but I'm no ma'am. Not really anyway. You can call me Mkali, or... or Zawadi,..... or .... or.... um Wadi. Whatever you like really. I don't mind, not at all," she stuttered as introduction. She gave Yoki a mouthy panting grin.

Yoki took note of Mkali's unase and sat down, hoping to put her new aquatintence's nerves at ease. Yoki bowed once more "Well, it is very nice to be at your acquaintance Mkali." Yoki gave yet another respectful bow, hoping that the respect she was showing would also calm the hyena as she seemed to not be the best at speaking. "What brings you this far out into the rogue lands? Please don't tell me you chanced prey all the way out here, it has been so scarce lately..." Yoki became slightly worried that the hyena had wandered away from her pride in search of the prey that had been scarce lately due to the scorching heat.
While Yoki waited for Mkali's reply she spotted a lone bird landing not far away and quickly motioned for Mkali to stay put, and that she would get it for them. At least that is what she intended to portray to the other rogue hyena. In a matter of moments Yoki had bounded over to the bird, managed to strangle it, and was on her way back to Mkali with the avian in her mouth. Yoki dropped the bird between the pink hyena and herself. "Are you hungry?" she asked with her ears perked up happily, the hyena was very glad she had managed to catch edible food instead of a leaf this time.

Mkali cocked her head for a second after Yoki sat. She looked down at her paws and back up to her new acquaintance a few times before sitting as well. She wrapped her puffy tail about her haunches and she pawed at the ground a bit with her front feet. She took a moment to consider to her answer. "Well, no not really. I haven't had a pack since I was just a pup and I don't remember it much: Nothing good about it anyway. I could say this is my home but I never really stay in one place for long so that's not really true either. Since it's just me to take care of I haven't really had food problems."
Mkali was taken by surprised yet again when Yoki dashed off behind her. She attempted to jump up to follow but tripped herself up in the process and only managed to land in a dusty awkward heap and watch Yoki snag the fluttering bird in her jaws. She eyed the feathered body that was laid between the two and her belly gave a bit of a grumble. Mkali attempted to hide it by trying to scramble upright once again. "Umm... You caught it, you should enjoy it," she mumbled meekly. "How about you? I mean... Um you seem to be heading somewhere. I mean you seem like you're trying to get to a certain place. Or something.... like that.... I think.

Yoki smiled at Mkali and nodded happily, she wasn't sure why, perhaps it was due to her lack of water, Yoki that it was kind of funny, in a good way, when Mkali doubted herself when she spoke. Yoki took a chunk of meat from the bird "There, the rest is yours." she nudged the remaining bird over to the pink hyena before proceeding to eat her meat so she could answer the question. After finishing the meat the tan hyena licked the blood off her muzzle before proceeding to answer the question, thinking it was probably the polite thing to do. "Yep, yep. I'm on my way to the Ngugava'wala clan... Er... Was it New give wala? Or maybe Nguv'wala? Anyway, I know it when I see it so the name is besides the point. I'm going to this clan, whose name starts with an N that is supposedly 'hyena heaven' for female hyenas. Maybe you would like to tag along?" Toki smiled brightly now, she was happy at the possible prospect of company on her jorney. From what the other hyena said about being a wander, Yoki had a feeling she would be turned down, but it was worth asking.

((Sorry it took me a while. I didn't even realize you had responded for a few days. >_<; )) Mkali's eyes lit up as Yoki offered her the meaty morsel and promptly started pulling feathers from the small body and crunching away at meat and bones alike. "Thank you, thank you, thank you," she mumbled around her mouthful.
Mkali continued her munching but still listening attentively as Yoki tried her hardest to remember the name of her destination. She was skeptical of her offer though. They had only just met and an offer to join a clan isn't something to be made lightly either. Also she had her doubts about the claim that it'd be a heaven for female hyenas. Why was it only female hyenas and not for the males? she licked her chops and huffed away a few remaining feathers before answering. "Well,.... I dunno. It sounds .... tempting..... um no .... Interesting. Yeah interesting,"She nodded to herself. "I could come with you for a while... I guess. Umm.... I dunno if I'll stay though." She looked up at Yoki with a questioning glance almost as if she were asking if that was the right answer to give.

Yoki smiled at the pink hyena's reply, knowing it was highly likely that she only say no. "You don't have to go if you don't want to, I just thought I would ask in case you wanted to." Tan hyena continued to smile, trying to keep her new friend from getting uncomfortable. She had a good feeling about this canine and really liked her, she felt sad that she would have to leave such a nice new friend so soon. As Yoki saw the sun begin to set and felt a cool, refreshing breeze flow through her pelt she knew the stars would soon be out to guide her and the savana would be cool enough to continue her jorney. "Well, it has been very nice meeting you Mkali, but I must be going soon." The horrid huntress stood and gave her friend a respectful bow. "Is there any particular direction you would like me to point you in? I would like to assist you in any way possible, as you have been very kind." Yoki was careful not to say anything about joining her on her way, as she did not want her new friend to feel pressured into going with her.
